Because I'm awesome-- that didn't stop being a thing which is true-- I finished the upgraded blast furnace and a few other things.

So finally I can make use of all that aluminum dust. And that means I can begin work on other, unmentioned things which are also awesome.

And yet, this 2.67 dual core is capable of handling almost any game on the market-- and usually on pretty high settings. Don't delude yourself in to thinking you need a supercomputer to play PC games.

Whilst your CPU (is it an Intel Xeon Processor 3070, by any chance?) is capable of handling things right now, in terms of raw processing power, compared to today's standards it is woefully lacking. I believe you and Asherian are on about different aspects of the CPU, with you being right about its ability to handle games (not that a lot of games are very processor intensive) and Asherian being right that, as far as current CPUs go, it's crap.

Everyone is right. Let's leave it at that.

Ah; an Intel Core 2 Duo E6700? Given the age of it and the clock speed, that's the one that fits, and any differences between it an the Xeon are practically nonexistent.

Pardon the curiosity - I have little to do at 5:35am.

With the system I have there is one wireless receiver for up and one for down so if your system can output a redstone signal for each when necessary then we should be golden.

It'll also need to pulse for each floor.

Heh, now I need to make room for yet another Gregtech item-- the Industrial Sawmill! I'll be expanding the grinder room to make use of it, as it requires liquid to work. Unfortunately none of the Wiki pages actually explain how to make it, but I think I get the gist of it, in terms of machine casing placement.

The industrial sawmill is a more efficient means of getting planks out of logs-- six logs per plank, plus sawdust which can be turned in to charcoal (at eight per dust) or various wooden items through compressing it in to wooden plates.

And I have an extra diamond saw, which will be used by a crop harvester to help Iustis' harvesting process since the golems keep messing it up. Just need to make some batboxes and some more cables. Thankfully I found a recipe to make more cables while using less diamond dust, so yay there.

edit: Crop harvester apparently sucks heh. Harvests a single IC2 crop apparently. How lame. Guess that diamond saw is going unused unless we want another three sawmills.

See, a sawmill is one of the things that'd be amazing with a multiblock like the Tinker's Constructs foundry. Can you imagine the logs being plonked down in a water run and being split out by a moving saw?

Would be neat. Certainly neater than a single block atop of nine machine casings with water and a cable plugged in to it.

Does the Factorization Grinder need Factorization power? I need more Gravel, and I can get it from cobblestone with the Grinder. Has anyone actually made a Craftpacket Stamper, too?

Yes and yes. (The stamper is the easy part, the diamond shards craftpacket is the expensive part).

The grinder needs a lot of power though, so you'd need to make a lot of mirrors (lots of silver), and maybe a few factorisation batteries too, as there's currently no way to get Factorisation power at night. (A future update will bring steam power).

However, can't you also get gravel from cobble in a Thermal Expansion pulveriser, or does that make sand?

I believe it does make sand with gravel as the bi-product.

So not the best for mass gravel making Id imagine.
