I have yet to see a single cave or ravine in the cave age that is not connected to the large caverns. The main reason I had Grundz stop pouring lava into the world was just because he wasn't directing it anywhere, just letting it spread everywhere.

The way redpower pumps work is they calculate where the next source block needs to be placed to keep the surface level. Running this calculation over such a large distance "just for the hell of it" was just getting stupid.

I have no problem with people using the pumps if you have a set reasonable area you want to fill. If you use pumps to just make a big mess just because you can, I will ban them.

Even then filling with water is probably a better idea, but whatever.

I think there's a misconception that I was just pumping willy nilly, every day I would fly around the perimeter of the lava and see where its going next, like when It started encroaching towards mata's land, I touched base with him and built a natural looking hill to make sure it doesn't go in that direction anymore, long before it hit his sightline, since lava just ran off of excess energy I'm thinking of sending that excess power to oil production next and pump it into a quarry hole or series of tanks for public use

I wouldn't use pumps in the cave age unless someone needs something filled, the restrictive area would mean I could fill like, the entire age in an afternoon if I went full bore.

Please use tanks for liquid storage. They're much saner and you can store 16 buckets in the space of a single block, rather than 1 bucket per block of dumping it into the world.

Dark: on that note will tanks ever show up on the overmap by chance? I dont like my reactor floating in space

Railcraft tanks show up on the map just fine.

As for Xycraft tanks (and Thaumcraft, Forestry Alvearies and lots of other multiblock structures that don't currently show up correctly), you'll just have to wait till the Dynmap dev guy gets around to it. There's so many mods and they're constantly changing, it's a hard game of catchup that he has to play.

I was actually going to make a teasure hunt series of maps/signs/ect. with traps and such but with darks reaction maybe this isn't the best idea

Anvil, if you want enchanted books, they are in our megabuilds enchanting room, iif they are not gone by tuesday, I will void them.

I've got two double chests of enchanted books sitting in my basement. ...Fire Protection IV is a nuisance to get. =)
