You could try the recommendations at this page, however, they're based on a computer with 3GB RAM

http://forum.feed-the-beast.com/threads/jvm-arguments-for-modded-minecraft-updated-12-30-13.28994/

Use the arguments from the "FTB Launcher" section obviously, not from one of the other sections.

Trying that now.

Nope, still crashed. Where are the crash reports usually located for FtB?

I found some reports at minecraft-folder\Monster\minecraft\crash-reports and two log files in the same directory as the launcher-executable.

No logs from monster there, sadly.

1.09, with the proper mods activated. I hate Monster already.

Dark said to use 1.09, Mata. The problem isn't the wrong version, because most of the time I never get a chance to connect to begin with.

What's the Priority on it? It might help to give it higher or possibly lower priority- could be that it's trying to work too fast or too slow, regardless of how much it's using.

Allocating 7G of RAM is too much, that's why it's running out of Permgen space (permgen is seperate). Try lowering it to 2 or 3GB RAM - Monster shouldn't need more than that.

You can also adjust the permGen size in the FTB launcher options, 256MB should be enough, and it shouldn't be set more than 512MB tops.

Permsize was set to 128 after I followed the instructions you linked to early, will try raising it.

I have a lot of obsidian so if anyone fancies trading some for one of those thaumcraft tomes of knowledge sharing with a decent amount of research there is a portal in the nexus to my base.
