I'm not a huge fan of the magic crop system, though I might end up using it for ghast tears as I need a couple of those.

It took me forever to get 8 ender pearl plants. I have not discovered a way to automate that process yet. The thaumcraft grow lamp works but sucks up herba essence quite quickly. I found that using a regular watering can is cheaper. But still manual labor

It's easier to go down the mimichite or enderman spawner route to be honest.

I will soon have access to corrosive gas (insta kills endermen, 100% pearl drop chance), so making a super ender farm shouldnt be too far off for me

I got lucky when I was exploring dungeons and found a few enderlily seeds. Add some endstone from the nexus and I have a fairly decent way of getting enderpearls.
If I didn't currently need a lot of enderpearls, I'd let you have some.

It converts 1 pearl to 16 ender pearl dust and then 9 dust can be crafted into one pearl, I've used AE to do that automatically any time I get low on ender pearl dust.

Unfortunately, Chisel blocks don't seem to show up on the map :/

My Ghettohome looks factory-ish right now.

You can also melt Endermen down in Smelteries for liquid ender- which can be cast into pearls (or used for whatever else liquid ender is used for. Tesseracts?)

Smelteries! Is there anything they can't do?

Do you know where a portal might be? I can set up a really crude grinder in the end.

My favourite source of Ghast tears are the Dark Towers in the Twilight Forest, the ones that look like this:
http://www.darkinnit.com/monstermap/?worldname=DIM7&mapname=surface&zoom=5&x=-325.19752359316027&y=64&z=695.8646684402144

They often have multiple Carminite Ghastling spawners (usually in the large vertical rooms) and the Ghastlings drop vanilla ghast tears (none of Dartcraft's "Tear" items which were useless in Unleashed). There's normally no lava nearby to destroy the ghast tears either. If you add in your own floors around the spawners it makes it even easier.

I stole one from an Item frame exposed at the top of one of those

I just use a sprinkler with some golems to harvest and collect, with a chunkloader setup. After a dat I came and collected what was harvested and made about 10 or so pearls from the essences dropped, thats with just 2 plants so the 8 you have would produce quite a bit more.

Also a fan of the mimichite.

Dark Eldar- 1500pts Completed
Grey Knights- 1500pts 1 Guy done
Chaos Daemons- Approx 5000pts
Slaanesh Daemons- 1500pts, in progress
Khorne Daemons- 1500pts, in progress
Death Korps of Krieg- Plans being formulated.
---------------------------------------------------
High Elves- Approx 2000pts
Vampire Counts- Raising the dead once more

So not sure how but while walking through the nether, some random pigmen turned hostile and killed me. When I went back for my gear, they were still hostile and one was wearing my power armor. Needless to say, I'm not really sure what to do.

Is this a glitch? I did see a ghast hit one with a fireball but I've never seen that turn pigmen hostile, much less towards a player.

If someone (or multiple someones) is able to get my stuff back, I'd owe you a big one. The spot I died is just outside the nexus nether portal. Just walk straight out and go down a couple blocks.

Might have been a pack of pigmen that were turned hostile by another player. They hold grudges, you know.

Anyways, your stuff is in the nexus.

I switched my nexus portal with one for the end and made a new portal for myself. The end is the orange one.

Pigmen turn hostile when Nether ores are broken. They don't care whether it's via mining or via ghast fireball. So what likely happened was they got angry because the ghast shot some ores rather than because the ghast shot the pigmen.

Thanks for retrieving his stuff Ramos, you are a gent.

Okay, that makes a lot more sense.

It was clearly dug through a hammer, I can only assume whoever did it was flying on the underside and couldn't be bothered to fly around.

I think I will finally be creating a conglomerate company on the next world. Introducing 4Corp.

The idea of 4Corp is to create a group of like-minded people who will live nearby to each other, with the aim of making a large complex. Members will hopefully be able to use each other's expertise to plug their own gaps. I have no qualms about which mods are used (that's right, thaumaturges, 4 doesn't hate you!) as long as they are used responsibly.

A lot of fun was had on the Tekkit server with all the different companies, little rivalries and the like. I'd like to bring the community aspect back to the server.

Maybe we can build a mega-build? A Titan, a Battle-barge, a Temple of Tzeentch, or even a McDonalds?

Regardless, anyone with interest, let me know. I promise it won't degenerate into a Triariariariari/Accords-like clusterfeth.

Dark finally found a way to be in two places at once.

My infusion for my second batch of ichor fethed up and my base was invaded by thaumic slimes causing me to lose my first batch of ichor and the materials (other than the nether stars) for the second. I've managed to die every night since wednesday for gods sake!

CESU... copper energy storage unit... surprisingly good, it keeps its energy when it's picked up apparently. Glad I made it.
