Need to figure out something to do with all the ores and ingots and stuff I got from my quarry. Iustis is going through a Warframe addiction, so our mansion design isn't likely to start any time soon


Any suggestions? Kind of just want something cool and techy... maybe teleporters to and from spawn, fed by an MV array hooked up to an MFSU? But that's a rather easy project that isn't THAT flashy looking...

Thanks. IC2 seems to have different metadata for empty goggles though. I just built a fresh pair with an id of 30078:26 while NEI lists them as :27 and that's also the only version the trade-o-mat accepts. Charged night vision goggles are 30078:1 both in NEI and in my inventory. Could you please change the allowed input to either :26 or :1.

It's easier to share resources, if that's what you're asking. Also, Iustis is better at design than I am, I feel. I can design interesting tunnels, roads, bridges... but I'm not confident in my design of buildings, compared to hers.

More importantly, any suggestions?

Iustis is into Warframe eh? Gather a gigaton of gold and quartz and build a bright Orokin base in The End. Populate it with white and yellow villagers.

Build the Panchea facility fro Deus Ex: HR (If you've played that). Use it to house a bunch of MFR Laser Drills.

Construct a deathmatch arena that strips the equipment from only players entering from specified doors. Have an MFFS repair the arena after every match. Make everything very destructible. Populate the area with MFR Rocket Launchers and Xeno's Reliquary Handguns.

Do Rotarycraft.

Construct a cool-looking spaceship that actually moves using two MFFS systems.

Construct a TARDIS within a 7x7x7 area and have it warp around using Blood Magic teleposers.

Get to Thaumic Tinkerer: Kami and construct a Celestial Gateway for the server.

Rebuild Grundz/MetalMessiah's newbie Ore Orb from Unleashed.

Do Bees.

Understand how Mariculture works.

Build a factory that produces a ton of Sludge and Sewage. Have it automatically dump it in the Promised Land.

Collect a gigaton of Twilight Forest Aurora Blocks, Geostrata Opal, and Reika Rainbow Trees and create a Rainbow shrine that hurts the eyes of anyone that looks upon it. Populate it with tons and tons of rainbow sheep and rams. Create a redstone-cycle of lighs that turn on and off rapidly. Make use of vanilla Minecraft fireworks.

Make a better-looking Nexus.

Create a giant Minecraft model of you and Iustis high-fiving one another. Have an explosion go off every 10sec at the high-five point.

Create an absurdly large amount of something mundane like bookcases or watermelons. Build a bridge out of it between two slime islands.

Create a Apeture Science Testing Facility out of Portal Mod stuff.

Create a hidden dispenser above spawn that will wait until one person is online, and then dump stacks upon stacks of Minecraft boats on them. Chickens work too.

Capture all the Blood Magic demons and elementals in MFR pokeballs. Have them fight. Form a betting arena. Let loose the monsters if you lose the bet.

Fill up an Extracells max-sized AE disk with DSUs full of drums full of blood. Laugh.

Play Warframe.

In a way, that's what Grundz was working on in the old server. Only blood and flesh instead of sludge. And tentacles.

Yeah, it was obnoxious and annoying.

I think I'll try factorization and rotarycraft out, just to see what it's all about.

I'm looking for help with a nice sorting system, not really into computers or anything like that, just need pipesorting. I'd appreciate advice and/or help.

I'm also clearing my whole island basically for farming as well. Planning to have a small normal plantation, but then essence farms in abundance. I'm somewhat wary of the cost (A diamond per crop)

Wait, can you make essence with diamonds?

Because if so, that's totes worth it. You can make Diamond Essence Seeds with 4 diamonds and 16 stacks of essence dust congealed into Extreme essence. Farm that up with a watering can (makes it about 5x faster than just waiting) and start growing diamonds! Then tell me how to make essence seeds.

Nah. Get someone to make a portal for you and link it to the network. Iunno how to do that or I would offer, myself.

Yeah I don't mean a regular portal, I mean a computercraft portal thing using crystal blocks and screens and gak.

That's the TikkaTransport portal system.

Just make a Mystcraft book and drop it in the EnderChest behind the portal. If you're going across the same dimension (Overworld -> Overworld) you need to make an Intra-Link book.

Aaaaaalllrught... who done broked the server?

My brother and I were on at the time. Server had a normal restart, we logged back in and after 2-3 minutes got an end of stream error. This was about 9:00 PM EST.

It was the usual unexplained hang.

I've now put in a script that runs every 5 minutes and checks if the server hasn't responded for 10 minutes. If it hasn't, it first tries to do a normal server restart and then if that didn't work, it kills the process and starts the server again.

I don't want to set the check for shorter than 10 minutes in case of false alarms.

From now on, if the server hangs or crashes and I'm not around to manually kick it, wait up to 15 minutes and it should come back on its own.

The server has rebooted twice in the last ten minutes. Are script and response check working as intended?

Edit: and another reboot, most likely five minutes after the last one

I think I borked the server by porting to spawn and then back to my base while the quarry was running. Getting a Failed to login: java.io.IOExecption now.........sorry, won't do that again

One 64x64 pit dug except it's filled with some poisoned brown liquid...hmmm. Have to do another 64x64 pit next to it and also starting my railway network from house to spawn(I like trains, they look cool).
