*Space* dwarf army . That statue is pretty killer though.

I'll get a photo of monkeys when I can get to my pc linking one handed on phone is a chore.

Stone colored Space Dwarf army may work very nicely, if not, go for a greenish shade. Is always nice to have a back-up plan.

So still gonna work on space dwarfs at some point. Probably not an army of them, just a batch or two.

I wanna fix up a compact deadzone demo kit for those rare occasions I get to drag models out. Enforcer half is 75% done just need to paint one of the new dogs and a set of arms. Maybe I mentioned this already? Time has lost meaning here

I think I'm gonna gak focus from the orc army. Don't think I can keep that going for 6 more units. Not right away. May try to do another one or two this year we'll see.

I think I'm gonna go back to the subject of gangs/teams/squads/units/warbands/etc. Specifically focusing on those groups that will be at least sort of comfortable within the battlesystems post apocalypse city terrain I should be getting in a month or two or so. Basically moderns and post apoc and some scifi, I mean anyone but fantasy models does fine in blown up city.

One group I want to do is my USARF guys, I finished what I have of course, but I have a got a pack of grunts on sale months ago and I have a van zant joining them. I think I'll get the rest of the specialists from the ariadna range and maybe add a couple of modern soldier types to fill out the ranks. Maybe paint that truck for them, maybe steal a mini from another faction so they can have a mercenary hacker.

More on this later, baby is not happy with me.

More zombies and survivors are potential candidates for monthly groups. Maybe more along the lines of stretchgoals though.

I wanna do the USARF stuff and maybe my morat stuff just because. Then I dunno. Gotta finish some dwarfs for deadzone sooner than later. Tau would be good too sometime... dunno, we'll see. Lots of TNT warbands too.

I would like to see where the Tau go too. Technically I still have to build all of their drones and magnetize the second half of the suit weapons, maybe build/convert the leader too. Not a massive undertaking though. I'm rooting for warpath:firefight but I may check into osprey (I think they have one) or even Medge because I'd really like a good ruleset for scifi 28mm bigger-than-skirmish-but-way-smaller-than-what-40k-has-become-these-days. Just like I dunno 10-20 guys, a few bigger guys, maybe a tank or two. Basically skirmish plus some support. Buy the tau maybe some pathfinders, a suit commander, stealth suits, maybe the giant stealth suit as their big'un.. work towards factions of similar strength to challenge them...

Just ordered a couple more dudes to round out my USARF team and that should be enough to hit free shipping for my latest miniature market order. Sigh. I gotta stay away. Buy one thing because it's a great deal and I'm locked in for a hundred bucks because I'm violently allergic to shipping I'll show off what I got when it shows up, still have to have them release the order.

Ordered the cooler looking Oznat for my morat forces so that group is technically done. Probably not legal though. I think the new Onyx force allows you to use most of the morat things I have though so I could use some in there. Kinda excited about the new bigger robots/mini-tags and maybe that guy that floats on his cloak or whatever...but only if I get that stuff painted.

May dig out a few things from Mars Attacks or my general stock to use for USARF, not specifically for Infinity but to use with the group of models in other systems or for photo ops. Depends on how productivity goes, but a couple of them (and even the basic US soldiers) kinda loosely match my USARF guys.

Those MA soldiers paint up pretty nicely, once you accept that they are about a half-step up from green army men. What are those metal guys on the bottom of the tray?

USAriadna grunts from Infinity. Did a batch at the beginning of the year as part of the army starter box. The four in the box (now built and primed) are the special weapons guys including hmg, light grenade launcher, sniper rifle, and heavy flamer thrower. Round out the first three with rifles.

The infinity dudes are a bit taller and bulkier than the mars attacks guys. Like basketball players vs average joes. Maybe not a full head taller but noticeable. The ladies are about the same size and infinity dudes are usually a fair bit bigger than the dudettes.

It'll work in the zombie survival scenarios, where you usually see a wider range of figures anyway.

So here you go, primed dudes. Don't usually bother with photos at this stage but meh, why not?

Still a tossup if they get paint first or I dig into another faction that's got primer down.

Also, what's that doin in the game room grim?

Drain tube? Are you competing in the "let it flow" terrain thing? Or do you have some plumbing to work on?

Cutting sections of it and then slicing it in half lengthwise could make some nice Quonset huts .

or your getting ready for cosplay and you need your robot arm joints

You got it though, thought a few Quonsets would go well with the USARF and other .modern scenery. The ribs are too far for realistic huts but I figure maybe in the space-future they have a giant press.

You could always fill parts of the ribbing with something scifi ish, or even foliage/camouflage.

Ehh I think I'm cool with the way they are really. Got two of them ready for glue. Will work out windows and doors later and slap them on then.

Thinking of just doing silver for the color.

Anti-Martian troops look good in primer, plenty of detail to work with!

The ma guys are a bit soft really but when you're primarily after body count they do alright.

Got everyone light browned today. Really not that much to the scheme so that's decent progress. Below is the wip of their companion scenery, some budget quonset huts. Need to add doors, maybe windows, and maybe a bit or two for visual interest. Also dip, too shiney as is.

Ever the hobby butterfly Grim. Are you going to go for a traditional scheme on the MA Marines? The huts are already looking the part, the detailing should really set them off.

They will look just like the USAriadna guys I did at the beginning of the year.

I like the ribbing on the huts, but it will probably make it difficult to add any windows, other than on the ends.

Those quonset huts are pretty nifty. What scale are they for? It's hard to get a sense of size from that photo.

Hard to get a great picture. I mean I'm sure windows are favorable but several of the photos of them are of models that don't have any side windows. Since they're prefab and get moved around etc, the fronts I think were potentially just plywood added to the metal frame with the doors and windows added in.

I figure it's Infinity so portable lighting shouldn't be an issue so there's less reason to have an extra vulnerability. Plus, as you say, it would be quite hard to add extra windows

Thanks guys. The pipe is 4 + solid corrugated drain pipe. Inch not Plus... Silly speech to text. A 10-foot section cost me not quite $5

Nice low cost terrain! Quonset huts are a nice option!

Gotta have somewhere to put the troops!
