@Paulson
Do you recommend dousing all the metals in simple green before painting, or did you just do it for this test model?

On the the Wolverine, I say!

I honestly prefer the muzzle brake version, but from a casting point of view, I totally get the point.

There has to be an aftermarket seller out there who sells tiny brass parts that would make it an easy, if expensive, conversion.

I think Jon said that he would have the old Autocannon parts for sale on his website, maybe after the KS finishes.

I will probably pick some up to use.

Maybe even do some muzzle brake parts for conversion of the new barrels if people want to do that?

Edit: Check out Combat Wombat. Scotty makes some 15mm turned brass and aluminum barrels with muzzle brakes on them.

*Looks at picture. Begins charge-back procedure.*

Communications and plenty of advance notice of what the final product will look like? I've never seen anyone fail so hard at using Kickstarter.

Now, those Battlefront guys. They know the score.

Over the next couple of days I'll be sending out the backer surveys. Because I'm doing them manually I am doing the pledge levels in a couple stages so that I don't get buried in a flood of messages.

People can add onto the initial pledges if they wish.

Also if anyone missed out on backing the KS I'll allow them to put in an order at the same pricing and levels as the kickstarter. I'll accept these orders until June 31st.

I'll be using Pay Pal for any Add-Ons or accepting new orders, I know that several people had asked about pay pal options during the kickstarter but I was unable to use it at that time as ks requires amazon payments. So if you were in that group you can now pick some items up. Just shoot me an email at paulsongames at Hotmail dot com

12 lbs worth of Lynx minis showed up today

Here is one of the production casts. It's in it's raw form, nothing has been scraped or filed. It had the sprue attachments removed and was glued together in under 5 minutes.

My camera has a very hard time with metallic surfaces while close up in macro mode so it appears gritty, despite how it appears in the photo the surface is quite smooth.

While I didn't wash this copy, it'd be advisable to wash the parts before assembly, the spincaster uses talc (baby powder) in the process and while it may not be visible on the model it is there and will make it more difficult for glue and paint to hold onto the surface. A quick wash in dish detergent or a cleaner like simple green will take care of it no problem. I usually give my models a quick scrubbing with an old toothbrush, just don't use a wire brush or steel wool as it'll scratch the models.

After sorting through the bag of torsos my fingers were black from the casting residue so it's certainly there.

I'll post pictures of a primed model as soon as I have some decent weather and can break out the spray paint.

It looks so good, almost makes me wish I had also gotten the smaller scale.

The only real object acceptable for a scale shot is a bottle of scotch, you know that, right?

A beer can would be better, I think, because I don't drink scotch and everything should revolve around me.

Surely, a half-empty bottle of Scotch?

Or, for Raging Heroes, a blueberry daiquiri with 2.61 fingers of Malibu rum..wait, that's not right...2.618 fingers of Malibu--it had better be that perfect coconut flavored rum, dammit, and a baby-tear-sized splash of Midori Sour--merde! too much! Better start over. So, we start over with completely new glasses; old glasses capture a breath of the soul of the previous cocktail and are forever tainted. Then we measure our rum in a special crystal glass--are my fingers retaining water?? Zut Alors! Okay, throw those glasses away and grab a new set...

Dang, that looks nice! I'm one of the 6mm backers, so that is very promising. Actually has me excited again when the long lead time was making me not as psyched.

I only put in a small pledge here, but if there is a second campaign for Quads early next year, I'll be tempted to go in more heavily. Just testing the waters for now, though

That looks awesome, I knew he was working on the model but I hadn't seen the pic just yet. I sent Vaaish one of the limited resin copies. The details are pretty much the same as the metal ones. He does really nice work on his stuff and this is no exception, I wish I could paint with even a fraction of that skill. (Apparently I used all my mojo up on modeling skills and my painting is pretty bad).

Jon! I have a problem with my pledge. I sent you a PM on KS. Basically it looks like when I upped my pledge to the $170 Assault force from the $130 level, it either didn't take or I forgot to change it :(

I was planning on adding $20 to get a Hardback, and splitting my force into 3 light Neo-Bloc and the 2 med/1 Heavy Blackfrost.

The Survey only has me with the $130 pledge though. Any way to fix that or am I boned due to my stupidity or software? :(
Help me Obi-Jon, you're my only hope!
