This is probably where I should mention Danny Dyer right?

Although to be fair, some of his films aren't too bad technically.

Apparently there was a sequel.. with David Carradine and Sid Haig ?! Tax bill must have come sooner than expected there.

Cocktail, Topgun and Dirty Dancing are I think the worst films I have ever seen, oh, and the first Dungeons and Dragons film and Little Nicky.

I thought League of Extraordinary Gentleman was a good film personally. A bit bang bang pew pew, but yeah, it was good.

Other than Krull I liked all those movies. They did a lot with small budgets.
Dragonslayer has the best dragon evah! Unless Smaug turns out ot be awesome.

Children, Children,
You haven't even gotten close to the Worst Film of All Time.

The previously mentioned films are undoubtedly bad but for the worst ever you have to go back to 1974...

... and witness the Sean Connery abomination that is....

...ZARDOZ

Highlights:
-Barbarians in the above costume slaughtering roving bands of former businessmen.
-An artificial inteligence housed in a giant flying head
-Hippy love children who live forever... until they don't.
-Long meaningless banter in an english villa

It's also the film that gave us this most memorable quote:

Zardoz: The Penis is evil! The Penis shoots Seeds, and makes new Life to poison the Earth with a plague of men, as once it was. But the Gun shoots Death and purifies the Earth of the filth of Brutals. Go forth, and kill! Zardoz has spoken.

This thread will no doubt continue, but I think we all know which movie is worst now.
Also, my apologies for going against the spirit of the OP and suggesting a film so bad that no one (not even myself) could like it.

@Eilif Zardoz was not the worst film ever. It is probably close, but The worst film ever made is so bad that my friends and I try to get other people to watch it by telling them it is a fantastic movie. Because it was so bad we want to think that we were not the only ones that have had to experience the excrement that was The Ice Storm.

I think people are confusing in this thread, poorly made and truly horrible movies (Combat Shock and Birddemic),with well/okay made but bad movies (Twilight/Eragon) and great/good/okay movies they don't like (Zardoz, Krull, Avengers).

In order to be the worst movie, I think the movie has to be just irredeemable in anyone's eyes. It has to actually pain the observer. If we were going to be scientific, we would have to gather movies in the first category and then sit down and watch them to see which ones created the most physical/mental distress.

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

The movie was too action orientated. It had cardboard cut outs of the characters playing them, Loki was terribly played and it had little to no character development. It is as bad as Batman and Robin. I like plenty of good movies e.g. Shawshank Redemption and 13th Warrior. The Avengers also had a pretty gakky atmosphere. Thor was too sci-fi for my liking and Hulk should of been based off comic hulk.

There's another wrinkle. It can't be in the 'so bad it is good' or 'so bad it is hilarious' categories.

So what you are saying is that you did not like it. It can't objectively be called the worst film since a great portion of the populace loved it. It could be your least favorite film, however.

This feels more like a taste thing rather than an objective assessment.

Inside your mind, corrupting the pathways

Most awful film ever: Transformers 3 - my wife and I only managed to watch about 20 minutes before giving up and watching the original animated film (we were expecting it to be bad since we would have stopped watching the second film part way though but had paid to see it at the cinema so stuck through it ).

Most awesful film ever: Flash Gordon. So crap it is fantastic. And amazing music by Queen!

So, is this movies that are bad but we like them, or just movies that are objectively bad, or movies that we don't like?

So some bad movies I love:
1. David Lynch's Dune
2. Ator (all of them)
3. Bloody Pit of Horror
4. Speed Racer

Movies that are bad:
1. Sci-fi Channel Originals
2. Starcrash
3. Anything made by The Asylum
4. Transformers 2

Movies that I hate, but are not considered bad:
1. The Fountain
2. 300

Movies that I love to hate on, but actually like:
1. Any of the new Batman movies
