Oh, I get that it's a comedy. It's just a very . . . how shall we put it . . . BAD. Half the jokes don't even make sense. The plot is bad. Let's work as a team guys, lol suckaz I'm going to kung fu this ball into the net from the half way line.
Rotten Tomatoes takes ratings from critics and gives a movie a score based on whether the review was positive, right? So 91% of critics gave this piece of horse dung a positive review?
EDIT: more evidence:
Hey guys, I'm going to kick the ball and create a tornado! Great idea yeah?

The number on the left is critics and the number on the right is randoms. Notice that the randoms still gave it 82% positive reviews.
It's a fun, goofy movie. Nobody actually thinks you can kick a tornado with a soccer ball.
Maybe my Chinese teacher telling us that it's a marvel in cinema didn't exactly help my view. Regardless, it seems from reviews that you either loved it or hated it, the majority loving it, and the rest hating it. I fall into the latter category.

Yeah, it's kind of like saying "SPY KIDS? Who would make kids into spies? That makes no sense, it wouldn't go well at all. Kids would make TERRIBLE spies"
But nobody cares because they were too busy enjoying a fun movie.
I laugh at anyone who puts Catwoman on their list. It certainly won't ever be confused as one of the best, but if you think it is one of the worst, you lived a very sheltered life.
Whats wrong with Catwoman? Personaly i loved the movie and watched it 3 times in a row
My problem with that movie is they somehow made me not want to watch Halle Berry in a catsuit...I didn't think that was possible.
You poor, poor man

Oh dear gods how could i have forgotten to mention this? Lousy plot line, lousy characters, lousy effects, etc. If given a choice carving out ones own eyes is better.

Say "I" if you want Stephen Chow tried for crimes against humanity.

I like bad films - as long as they have
Special Effects
Comedy
Big Monsters
Bad taste and Braindead (Peter Jacksons early work...haha!) are awful - but funny because of it.
Its because ordinance is still a word.
However, firing ordinance at someone isn't nearly as threatening as firing ordnance at someone.
Ordinance is a local law, or bill, or other form of legislation.
Ordnance is high caliber explosives.
No 'I' in ordnance.
Don't drown the enemy in legislation, drown them in explosives.
Catwoman just bored me. For the same reason as I don't like the fantastic four.I was just completely non-gripped.
The worst films for me are the ones where I just plain couldn't care less about even finishing watching it.
I agree. Dumb and bad are different things. There are a lot of big dumb movies that are still fun and awesome. That's why Manos and the Room are so bad, for instance. They're boring and slow.

I watched that once with housemates who said it was one of the best films of all time. All I can remember is "Ya?", "Ya", "Ya!" and the burning desire to get back the time that I wasted watching it.

swifty followed by:
Star Crash
with an early appearance by the Hoff in a star wars rip off featuring spaceships made out of kitchen utensils...

Word. I laughed my way through that with ease.
Try something like:
The Undertaker and his Pals
Yes, this was released into actual drive-in theatres! Ahhh, the late 60's and early 70's.
I'm also surprised no one has mentioned tha Apple. However, I think The Apple is AWESOME, even though there is no doubt this is a bad, bad movie.
Edit: I'm glad I'm not the only one who agress that Starcrash has merit as the worst. I have tried to watch that film several times, and everytime i fall asleep. It's like Nyquil to me.

Oh come on! Starship Troopers should have been named something else but is still an amusing and fun movie.
I agree, the first one was a great deal of fun - the 2nd and especially 3rd films might well qualify though!
Hmm, difficult to choose worst movies - I'll go for the ones that were most disappointing (I mean.. you expect something like Critters 6 to be crap, so it ends up being entertaining) so on that basis:
Most disappointing movies:
- Terminator 3. The 2nd movie was the seminal film to my friends and I when were growing up - we had it on VHS, the one with arnie on the bike, shotgun in hand, on the cover - and the tape broke it got watched so many times. The film is just a work of art. Fast forward 12 years or whatever it was for the 3rd film, the same friends and I are stood queueing outside the cinema humming the Brad Fiedl theme tune for the first night of showing. A few hours later we had all written a vow in blood to murder Jonathan Mostow in cold blood if we ever saw him on the street
- the first Aliens Vs. Predator film. Same again, managed to kill two franchises that were watched obsessively through my early teenage years.
- Quantum of Solace - loved Casino Royale, this one just seemed like a massive cash in (which it was).

That film get a mention just for the Shia Lebouf monkey tarzan scene.
Shudder... Remember there are only 3 Indiana Jones films

Why the hate on Stephen Chow... don't you know Kung Fu Hustle is epically awesome?
Or... am I totally missing a joke somewhere?
