I've nabbed a bunch of small plague drone wings off ebay for a similar model, I think they'd work pretty well with these, too (although they'd be a lot bigger than what's on them currently).
These wings:
But yeah, agreed about the flying stands needing to be replaced on those, too. Still, with some work the models could be sweet! The project I got the wings for was to convert the below Chronopia swamp goblin drones, which also might make decent counts-as for these models (alhtough I know most PP players don't do a lot of counts-as):
For the other releases, plastic kriel warriors is great!
@Wehrkind- Lol about your wife's reaction to butterflies . Did I mention my coworker raises them as a hobby...

Are all the Horde's factions getting these packs? If so, what's in store for Circle, anyone know?

Just Legion and Skorne are getting beast packs.
So far, anyway.

The wings and the right arm at least. He looks like he is 5 inches tall toe to tip. The bumble bees seem like they will lay down flat at least.
I am jealous of the model though, and it is the first Legion heavy whose jaw scale thing doesn't look like a googly eye.

Northkin Fire eaters - Amazing paint job, and pretty snazzy models. Braylen Wanderhart - Trollbloods are really getting some loving at the moment. Resculpt of Seige Brisbane - probably not the most necessary resculpt, but hey, now he's using his gun rather than his hammer. Oh, and in the vein of PPs new rings, they've put out another set of game aids - health markers for multiwound models, in small, medium and large varieties. While it's usually easy enough to keep track of things on the cards, this will really help with some situations.

Those wound markers are a neat idea. Hopefully they don't clutter the table too much. I can see them being a hassle when everyone goes smashing in to each other (unless you just set the counter on top of the card at that point).
But those new Trolls- WOW. Not even interested so much in stats for them as I am in just getting to paint them! That outlaw is going to be a must purchase for sure, and hopefully my daughter won't snatch her up (as she steals all my "fighting girls" as she likes to call them). Those firebreathers are the perfect balance of cool, crazy, and ridiculous for me.

Not a fan of the new Siege model, it retains the weird proportions that makes him look like a space marine, in a bad way.
The wound markers will help big time for those multi wound medium or large based models. So many people just don't mark models and it's always a hassle to keep track of which model is which for some.
That said, it can be just as much a hassle to try and pickup those tokens on a busy table, especially when those big multiwound models will be on the front lines.

I think picking up the tokens and keeping them straight is going to be an issue. Every unit with them will take up to twice as long to move as you have to touch stuff twice for every model. I also don't see why they are better than a d8 for tracking. I dunno, not seeing the value.
I do love the new troll models, though I am troubled by the outlaws' wrists rotating out instead of in. Usually when you have two pistols you hold them vertically or more likely rotated in a bit so you can see the sights. Rotated out, not so good. Probably not too hard to fix, just one of those little oversights that bugs me on an otherwise great model.

The troll character looks bizarrely narrow to me, but the unit's one of the nicer things I've seen PP put out recently.
Marcus is pretty good, but he looks kind of stubby.
Agreed with wherkind on the markers. Also, good point on the details... I feel PP very often misses the point of why things are things (with one of the most egregious errors being their handling of firearms, like the above and revolvers where the chambers don't line up with the barrels)

The character troll is a bit thinner than the other troll females we've seen. I'll chalk that up to her lifestyle choices.
The guns I don't see as much of an issue. I see it as more of her trying to keep a large area covered, as opposed to concentrating her fire on one target. Like you guys said though, I'd imagine that's a fairly easy fix, especially if the hands and guns are cast separately then the rest of the body.

Not so much the direction the muzzles are going, but the rotation on the wrists. Even when pointing at targets far to the left and right the weapons would be rotated in. Not a huge deal, but it makes her look rather limp wristed. Like S.Cadaver said, it is one of those little details that PP is sloppy about but really offends the eye when you see it.

Ohh, looks like they have a couple more resculpts coming out today too! And these ones were definitely worthy candidates for them!
And the famously Horse Faced Zerkova has been resculpted as well! She now doesn't look like Sarah Jessica Parker holding an ice cream cone!
Lastly, the Extreme Sculpts are now going into general release (rather than online only), as a mixture of Metal and Resin! Well, the Khador ones anyway, but presumably the others will follow:
Trolls and Khador are definitely winning today

Don't think Fiona particularly needed it, and I can't believe I'm saying this, but I actually think Zerkova's old sculpt was better. Dumb face and all, she at least doesn't have this one's awkward pose (apparently she's ready to club you with her zappy stick?) and weird wind she's in- part of her cape is affected, but not her hair and her tabard thing doesn't look like it's moving the same way...

Balance in pick up games? Two people, each with their own goals for the game, design half a board game on their own without knowing the layout of the board and hope it all works out. Good luck with that. The faster you can find like minded individuals who want the same things from the game as you, the better. |
