This isn't news or rumour so I'm going to move this to the discussion board.

Currently it's a bit vague with regards to exactly what you're trying to ask or talk about, if you elaborate a bit more it's likely you'll get a better response.

The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all
We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.

I'm thinking of cupcakes, the stereotypical pink ones. I think I may be hungry..

As for the April issue: Another vapid, overly hyped rag that fits right in with the rest of the glossies?

I'm thinking a big Tyranid FAQ that contains updated rules to allow Tyranid Primes to join units inside Mycetic Spores, that gives the Pyrovore not only the ability to shoot at air-craft but a revamped cannon that can really hammer tanks at range, updates for Biovores to allow them to fire anti-aircraft "barrage spore mines", as well as new plastic kits for Mycetic Spores, Harpies and the ever-popular Hive Guard (combined plastic kit with Tyrant Guard).

And at the end of the preview and FAQ it will say:

APRIL FOOLS!

Oh come on now Matty, that would imply that GW has a sense of humour and we all know they stopped having a proper one ages ago.

I was going to post something about lack of content and acres of clean crisp white paper...

"Bloody typical, they've gone back to metric without telling us."

"As the days go by, we face the increasing inevitability that we are alone in a godless, uninhabited, hostile and meaningless universe. Still, you've got to laugh haven't you?"

"We demand rigidly defined areas of doubt and uncertainty!"

"Mind the oranges Marlon!"

Lots of photos with bad lighting that don't do a good job of showing off the new releases?

How about pages and pages and pages of all the stores and stockists across the planet, 'cause every issue (rather than a more sensible once a quarter) needs that!

How else am I, in Sweden, gonna know the phone number to the GW store in Joondalup? The internet? Don't make me laugh.

Don't forget the 10 pages listing every GW stockist in the whole world. Will there be a change of telephone numbers in Madagaskar? Oh, the suspence
That said, I think we will see a Tau issue, not worth buying even for a Tau fan like me.

Do you even know where that is?
I do - but I've been there. If there's a bright spot at the centre of the universe, it's at the point furthest from it.

Finecast turds we can use to pull off all kinds of jolly april fools jokes. A new paint, "feces brown", will be released simultaniously to paint 'em up as realisticly as possible. WD will have a 7 page tutorial featuring these new items.

They will be the size of Pumbagors and come in boxes of three for only $99,95.

I'm going to take a guess and say we'll probably get a good five different threads all full of worn out jokes and tired references, with the occasional person going "I actually like WD" but everyone else who does having given up on venturing into the threads, and the rest of he people in them patting each other on the back and congratulating each other on how they managed to "reinvent" the same joke that was used in the past twenty threads on this subject.

Goliath, be reasonable; the jokes may be used over and over however they can still be humorous to a large number of posters.

Dagobah, silly

I couldn't care less what was in White Dwarf. But if I had to make a guess, it will go like this:

Intro talking about how good GW is by biased editor.
Pretty pics.
More pretty pics.
Even more pretty pics.
Vague battle report filled with pretty pics.
Worst painting guide known to mankind (Filled with pretty pics).
Telephone directory taking up huge chunk of the magazine (Though not filled with pretty pics).
Advertisement for next issue, saying 'Buy next issue to see even more pretty pics!'.

The jokes may be funny to many, but they also constitute spam.

It is literally impossible for anyone to post any discussion involving White Dwarf on this site without the same tired jokes being dragged out to the point where the thread is drowned in them.

Not to say that a thread asking people to speculate on content that will be revealed in less than a month is particularly worthwhile, but at the same time it should be possible for the people who enjoy whatever content exists in the magazine to at least discuss it without having to hear yet again how the magazine sucks, is just a glossy advertisement, is nowhere near as good as it used to be, etc, etc, etc.

Sure, if someone starts the topic 'is WD as good as it used to be?' then the gloves are off, but there is literally no reason to wheel out the same exact jokes every single time any thread involving White Dwarf is posted.

So please keep that in mind. When the joke is being used as a means to disrupt any potential conversation, then its no longer a joke and instead is spam and will be treated as such.

Locking thread now as it is already off-topic and likely never to return...
