So here's my Ork Bomma/DakkaJet that I'm currently working on. Right now it looks like the freak love-child of a B-17 Flying Fortress and an A-6 Intruder. LOL. Unfortuantely, the coating on the clear plastic didn't work as I had intended, so you can't see the Ork sitting in the nose gunner's turret, nor the angry looking Grot in the spine turret. :( The Tail Turret didn't come out exactly as I had hoped for. I had intended to stuff an Ork in there working the gun, but alas it was not meant to be and I had to settle for what you see.
I pretty much sawed off the nose and the rear engines in the fueselage and replaced them with the spare turret and glass parts that I had, intending to be nose and tail turrets. Green Stuff worked great for the fill ins to make it look more like its part of the original model and everything. I decided on the wings that I'm going to two-tone it with a light/dark red, maybe doing some flames with the end paint job. I didn't like having the wings just bare at the tips so I opted for winglets by using leftover/unused parts.
Thoughts, ideas, suggestions welcome!

Looks like SOMEONE's been reading Deff Skwadron! Really like it, but I don't think those bits should've been painted (gunner/pilot) before the model was done, or cut off the fuselage (it's orky! and big! great for a bomma).
Did you prime the bits before painting, actually? In the last picture where you can see the wings, I can see some grey. Is that the primer, or the plastic?

I actually don't know what the Deff Skwadron is, but it sounds like a fun read.
No, the pieces were not primed. I'm using a brush on paint/primer for this model and then using a spray sealer as an experiment to see how it turns out.

I'm not sure what coating you were trying on the clear plastic, but Future Floor Polish will help make clear plastic 'clearer'. I know that sounds ridiculous, but regardless of what it's really doing, the end effect is that you can see through it better. You might try stripping off whatever coating is on there now, and replacing it with that.
Also, awesome! The canopies just need some bullet holes.

Lovely concept! Have you considered filing down the greenstuff around the front cockpit a bit? If you did that andd added some plasticard banding and some rivets, I feel it would add a lot to the model.

A Squeaky Waaagh!!
Camkhieri: "And another very cool thing, my phones predictive text actually gave me chicken as an option after typing robot, how cool is that."'
Meercat: "All eyes turned to the horizon and beheld, in lonely and menacing grandeur, the silhouette of a single Grot robot chicken; a portent of evil days to come."

AH! That's what I needed! I went to my local WalMart and told them that I just needed "Future", as it had been told to me in another thread, and they just gave me blank looks. I'll try that. Thanks. I don't have any plasticard, but I do have something that I could use instead. But I was considering doing that now that the greenstuff has solidified.

To be fair, blank looks are about all you'll ever get from Wal-Mart employees in Juneau.

NOOOO! You should prime the whole thing first, the overall result is much better.
Also, Deff Skwadron is an Orky comic book. Orks vs. Orks. Orks.

Well, like I said, trying something new here. We'll see how it goes this time around. I have the first layer of base paint down on the fueslage now and I'm hunting around for something to make the greenstuff around the nose look more aircraft-esque. I'll post updated pics as soon as I can.
