Hey so im in the middle of painting 3 pred tanks for my army after already painting 2 rhinos and im starting to get a little lazy, i really dont want to paint the inside because, well it will never open so yeah.

How many of you paint the inside of tanks that will never see the light of day?

To many unpainted models to count.

I use Army Painter spray for my vehicles, so I usually give them a quick spray down with that. That's about it though.

I have the army painter black primer, but it differs from GW matte black, and has a bit of a shine to it :\

I paint the inside of rhinos, yes.

I stopped painting the inside of land raiders, though. You can't see anything in them, anyway.

My pred doubles as a razorback/rhino, so I painted the inside. If you are glueing everything, don't bother.

Yes for transports with functioning hatches. No for gun tanks.

As I'm in it for the modelling, not only do I and will I paint the interiors of all my vehicles, I'm also adding details.
I'm only on my first vehicle, a Waveserpent, but I've added into the cabin: floor where there was some missing, a holoscreen, two extra seats and seat covers for all the seats, a first-aid box, graffiti and a pin-up and I sculpted away some of the beams to make them curved. and I'm currently building engines where they should be instead of the simple vents that it came with.

I glue my hatches down so I have an excuse not to paint the inside of them.

I like to imagine the Emperor kills so many Orks that he ends up half buried beneath a pile of corpses, with only his head sticking out. A lone grot stumbles across him, and starts choking him.

Then Horus comes across the lone grot, somehow managing to kill the Emperor, and punts it into space.

I never paint inside tanks. I rarely paint the bottom of tanks either.

Same here. I used to paint the bottom of tanks so I could flip them over if they were destroyed, but I got tired of damaging the paint on the top, having my Storm Bolters break off, etc.

Yeah, taking the turret off and putting some cotton wool in the hole looks way better anyway. Stops you from damaging your models too.

Yes. Painting the interior is the best part!

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.

I painted the insides of my two rhinos, but I'm debating whether to do it for my chaos rhinos. the only time I see the inside of my C:SM rhinos is when I'm swapping the top hatch for a razorback turret

If at any point the doors will be open then yes. Otherwise, nope. Too much other stuff to paint to spend time on something no one will ever see.
