Subject: Does your army have a lore of their own?

Mine does.
Boss Blunda Buss and his busses of blundas
Hes a big mek who has every soldier riding in a trukk or battlewagon. He seeks to unite all da orkz under one banner, the blunda buss banner, and he believes he has the best chance of anyone, even ghazz, of succeeding.
His plan?
Simple.
Achieve the point of "enough dakka".
If he leads the only warband that has enough dakka, then everyone would want to join said warband.
With everyone inside trukks and battlewagons, any assaulting army would have to first get within 18inches(which is the range of shootas and the max range you can start your turn in and have even the slightest chance of successfully charging).
This lets the boys shoot once.
Then if the assault army charges, overwatch. IE more dakka.
If they decide not to charge, they get shot normally, the next turn, or if they fail they both get overwatched AND shot again AND overwatched again
They get in range and blow up the trukk(if they fail this they would get shot and overwatched again, thus even more dakka)
Now the trukk is gone, so the boys back up a little and shoot again.
Next turn, they get charged, overwatched YET AGAIN
Worst case scenario? Shot 4 times(and 2 turned used). Best case? 8 times(and 4 turns used).
Now DATS a lot of dakka.
So my army's lore plays into it's gameplay style.
What is your army's fluff?

ill let you in on something since youre new here... if you dont put a point of discussion into the original post of your thread it will be terminated by Mods, however since youre new they and i will give you the benefit of the doubt..... the thread title is not enough and you shouldve ended your post with something like... "what is your army's fluff"
On that topic my IG regiment the Xibalban 9001st was sucked into a warp-time rift during the horus heresy enroute to defend terra from the heretic threat alongside the loyal SM legions... spit out in the 41st millenium they were almost immediately intercepted by inquisitorial agents... the whole regiment is now attached to inquisitor Antoni and accompany her as she roots out heretics in the Segmentum pacificus. Hailing from a now extinct forgeworld the unit is comprised of a highly mechanized section and a relatively advanced footslogging shocktroop. This allows Inquisitor Antoni to operate while disguising her actions as simple troop movement.

My army used to have great lore, it kinda sucks a little now though.
I play ultramarines.

We are arming Syrian rebels who support ISIS, who is fighting Iran, who is fighting Iraq who we also support against ISIS, while fighting Kurds who we support while they are fighting Syrian rebels. |

I play Ultramarines 3rd Company, I gave them a little bit of fluff, just parts that didn't have anything. Such as Captain Fabian serving under Invictus twice, and Ardias being his squad Sergeant before Ardias was Captain of the 3rd, and Fabian became a 1st Company Veteran. I also like to think that Fabian is from Espandor, not of nobility, not as militant about the Codex Astartes as Sicarius and he was close to Invictus, so much so that it was him who put his name forward for Captaincy of the 3rd after Ardias fell, and upon receiving the Honour Crest, Invictus let him use his personal colours.
He also has close ties to Cassius, since they were both at the Battle of Macragge, and many of his warriors became some of the first Tyrannic War Veterans, and he seconds a lot of men to the Deathwatch. He shares Cassius' hatred of the Tyranids, having his mentor falling on Macragge, and that beautiful story about him blowing the face off a Hive Tyrant.
I have more too, but this isn't really the place or time.

Ive written lore for all my armies. My Blood Specters have the largest amount written. Second comes my Chaos warband, its more on a person because of my flgs contest on character stories. Only stuff Ive posted yet is in my signature. How the Disciples of Fate fell to Chaos still believing they are serving the Emperor. Now they have gone renegade and are working together with Chaos because they would be on their own if they didnt. Its best to make the Imperium and Chaos fight it out before making there own move to fulfill the Emperor's vision. Or so they believe.

Ah ok, I understand. So it's not a mixed gender space marine chapter. It's two separate entities.

Yes, my idea was Space Marine chapter who "commands" Sister of Battle order too.

My army is a rebel faction in the Ultima Segmentum. The Kinlad Dominion of no specific cultural influence but with some Communist undertones, is currently in control of 2 star systems and has a foothold in 3 others. They have embroiled an entire Sector in civil war. However, the Imperium's campaign to retake the sector has been stymied by the war against Hive Fleet Caesar (Pronoucned Kai-zar) and continued Incursions of the Tau.
The Kinlad Dominion is currently lead by Premier Karshoff. He rules as a dictator with a council of advisers. His prime adviser is Queen Li'sai of the Cold Bloods, a reptilian abhuman race from the temperate world of Jarall III. The Queen also serves as the overall leader of the Kinlad Liberation Army due to her exceptional tactical abilities and her notable combat prowess. They are also married but this was more of a political move than anything else.
The KLA's battles are neverending. Tendrils of Hive Fleet Caesar are invading all 3 star systems the Kinlads have a claim on. This theatre of war is often called the Tyrannic Front, and is synonymous with each member of the army with certain death. Initially, Hive Fleet Caesar smashed through the rebel's defenses. A dozen worlds were lost within 3 months. However, thanks to the quick thinking of Queen Li'sai, the Kinlads managed to not only halt the Tyranid's advance but actually reclaim a few planets that were not yet cleaned of biomass. Now the Queen's forces are embroiled in a grueling war of attrition with the Tyranids along many planets with no end in sight
When Karshoff and his council used a cogigator to predict the time it would take to defeat the Tyrannic armies, it came up with the answer "Undefined", meaning victory was impossible. When the rebel forces were multiplied times 10, it came with the same answer. When Karshoff finally asked the techpriest to calculate what it would take to defeat the Tyranids, the machine gave this answer: Multiply forces 100 fold. Increase conscription rates 500 percent. Acquire superheavy tanks and titans. Obtain 2 more Forgeworlds if possible. It was clear what was needed to be done. Karshoff ordered the conquest is not only their home sector but also it's neighboring sector.
The Kinlads are now invading several other star systems. Infiltrators sabotage key installations and incite open rebellion. Assassins eliminate key figures and spies report Imperial movements. The Kinlads cannot afford to wage total war with the Imperium as the Tyrannic front is placing great demands on it's forces. It must rely on guerrilla warfare and subterfuge to conquer other worlds. Kinlad Shock Troopers, elite armored infantry, fights the good fight rather than masses of men.
Tau ambassadors on Kinlad have negotiated a military alliance with the rebels. After all, what better way to convince someone to join the greater good than to demonstrate the greater good's considerable firepower? Tau forces have been occasionally seen fighting alongside shock troopers. Hammerheads and Leman Russes work together to bring down Imperial machines. Such an alliance was the doom of Hive World Ios.
By the latter years of the Kinlad Rebellion, the Shock Troopers were no longer a sight on the battlefield as they had been squandered trying to take the Soritas World of Nolloc's Gambit. While the world did eventually fall, the Sisters of Battle had slaughtered millions of Shock Troopers in a spirited defense. Karhoff's best troops perished thanks to these warrior women. It was said by the survivors that Chimeras were forced to drive over the wreckages of rebel tanks as the streets were clogged with them. Liberator armies, which are simply footsloggers, were the mainstay of the KLA towards the end.
In 012M42, Kinlad fell to the Imperium. The Sisters of Battle had avenged their fallen and won the planet for the Eccleisarchy. The remnants of KLA either fell to Chaos or joined the Tau Empire. The rebellion was a blow to the Imperium's war effort against the Tyranids. Several Forgeworlds had been destroyed in the campaign to stamp out the rebels and many more planets were devastated. In addition, many astartes that arrived to defend against Hive Fleet Caesar had instead been squandered defending against the rebels.
Queen Li'sai and the Coldbloods became members of the Tau Empire along with Premier Karshoff and his general staff. The Tau soon adopted Li'sai and her people as auxiliaries seeing their military worth. Karshoff, for his deed of bringing 2 star systems into the fold of the Greater Good, was made the local governor of one of those star systems. Unfortunately for him, several of the worlds were destroyed during the horrible battles of the Tyrannic Front (Which, for the rebels, had been won).
So yeah, there's my army. I plan to add to it as I play more games of 40k.

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.
