Okay. Well first of all you forgot to include the +$5 base shipping for add-on only pledges if I'm not mistaken so it'd be $75. Well, getting scout you'd be paying $3 for the 2nd gens and the hounds and any further stretches added to the plague, so that's certainly a better deal.
Getting recon and adding the rebs stuff is a $48 difference now so not really interesting, I guess - that might change before the end though so I'd keep an eye on that lest you short-change yourself there.

$340,000 now reached - how quickly will the new pledge target be revealed?
Also, just had a quick look through the comments section on the KS. What's the deal with Brian Blessed, has he become the official mascot of this game or something?!

I think it is the way a select group of crap bags keep other folks from participating.
Every time a terrorist dies a Paratrooper gets his wings.

Lots of discussion regarding terrain. Has anyone mentioned that Necromunda bulkheads are just a but shy of 3" wide (71mm/2.8inches if the web is to be believed).
They do seem to command somewhat ridiculous prices these days, but for those of us who still have the old Necromunda bulkheads and GW scenery kits that utilize them, they could be a great source of terrain for a game with 3" squares. At the very least they'd be a good start for then adding custom walls and floors too.
I've got the Necromunda and Outlanders boxes, and it looks like they're finally going to get some use in 2014!
Got some Necromunda scenery too, so I'm edging ever so near in pledging for this as well. Waiting for the terrain news and also hopefully more renders before I make my mind up.
Get in – that’s an additional Rebs Yndij included in every Rebs Faction Starter!
Those Faction Starters are starting to get big!
Up next, we’re moving onto the glorious greenskins – it’s time for more Marauders!
$347,500 – Marauder Sniper
Although Goblins are as much a part of Marauder fleets as Orx are, their lack of obvious battlefield potential often goes against then. However, their keen eyes and penchant for stealth leads many of them to become marksmen, carrying long-ranged rifles that let them stay out of harm’s way while sowing chaos in the enemy’s ranks.
If we hit this goal we will be able to tool an alternatively posed Marauder Goblin Sniper, and include one free in every Marauder Faction Starter! This means one extra figure in Scout ($40 – provided you’ve picked a Marauder Faction Starter) and one extra figure in Strike Team ($150)!
Snipers are a powerful long ranged additions to any elite squad and the Goblins are characterful figures to boot. Let’s get this one in!
Faction Focus: Marauders!
The Orx were not always mercenaries and brigands. For a good time their considerable martial skill was put to good use by the Corporation; they were equipped and trained to act as shock troops and guards by decree of the Council itself. Once the Orx realised that they could use their new skills to their own benefit, they rebelled on a scale that demonstrated their cunning. The Marauders, as they became known after the Mandrake Rebellion, are now a terror of the shipping lanes, known for attacking cargo haulers and pillaging spaceports. They see a Deadzone as an opportunity too great to pass up, even if they have to fight their way through a fleet blockade to reach one.
Designer Notes: Marauders!
In this section of the Designer Notes, we take a look at the Marauder Ripper Suits…
Marauder Ripper Suits with long ranged weaponry
The Gorsch Corporation shot to fame when its Heavy Load Exo-Suit was adapted for combat use by Orc units. With the addition of dense armour plating and support-level weaponry, the Exo-Suits became a common sight on battlefields across the galaxy. Although the Orx no longer work for the Corporation, there are rumours that Gorsch still provides them with suit upgrades – for a price, of course.
Marauder Ripper Suits with close combat weaponry
Orx believe that the most prestigious kills are the ones made at close range, so it’s no surprise that it’s become common practice to refit Exo-Suits for this purpose. Countless Orx have replaced their suits’ ranged weapons with heavy-duty combat weaponry, usually repurposed from industrial machinery. It might seem crude, but no one who’s been on the receiving end of a HammerJack can doubt its efficiency.
Marauder Ripper Suits are heavily armoured exo-suits piloted by the best commandos. The kit comes with loads of weapon options, particularly as we're including an extra set of arms for either suit, allowing you to build 2 combat varieties, 2 ranged varieties – or one of each!
Coming up later: we’ll have more info on the Commandos and the Marauder Captain…
… plus, you just can’t get enough of those exploding chain-saw mouthed dogs!
Oh and Mantic have mentioned in the KS comments that they want to do a Orx Commando Pyro and a Goblin Gunslinger.
Enjoy

Thanks! that sounds great, the Deadzone Enforcer Models are even more badass than the normal ones, and the Deadzone orx will be great support for my grunts (I especially love those exosuits, they manage to be MOE DAKKA while still having their own style) So, is there any plans to bring the Ver-myn and the Forgefathers into the Deadzone? or do those two just not have any interest in the Deadzones? I simply love the idea of the Rebs fighting as a true Guerilla force (Beat them at YOUR game......that would seem to be obvious for a rebel force, but its pretty much never done in wargames), and the multi-species alliance is just awesome....and, of course, the Contagion is great. I wonder what those two factions will be fielding in warpath; You see, I know that all four of the factions are fielding what they would consider to be their elite (Kommandos and exo suits for the orx, the best of the best for the enforcers, the hardened veterans for the rebellion) so there must be a more comman mass for the rebs and the contagion. For the Enforcers and the orks thats obviously what's available in their respective starter army packs. So, will the Contagion and the Rebs always be a small, elite skirmishing force?

They are planning on bringing Forgefathers and the elves in shortly, once they have opened up all the stretches related to the current 4 races. Then once those are dealt with Ver-myn and others will be considered. Eventually they do want all the races in Deadzone, but whether that is during the kickstarter or not is another matter
Has there been any comment on whether the recent Maurader sniper and Yndij are alternate sculpts (like the assault enforcer) or just repeats of existing figs?

I remember they said the 2nd Marauder sniper will be a new sculpt
Earth Dragon wrote: Shhhhh!! It seems like a cheap Grogan. Don't clue them in.
A bit, maybe, but not by much. I don't think the concept art shot is to scale. If you look at this one, the scale of the Grogan being $5 makes more sense. Much smaller than the terraton and ripper suits (and only one of two weapons rather than both).
Really like the idea of the Marauder commandoes, not least because it will be great to finally see a Marauder with a rifle, rather than pistol/cc weapon.
In fact, looks like they might well be the best realisation of a Rogue Trader-era ork ever (which is actually probably why I like them!)
Yeah, they evoke a lot of the pre-fungal-era orcishness that I love. More militaristic, slightly less "football hooligan rabble" (but only slightly ). They are the main reason I'm sticking in at Strike Team (though I love the Rebs and Enforcers), because I've always wanted a few orcs done up like they were back during RT and 2nd Edition. Now we just need to hurry up and get to the Forge Fathers and I'll be in heaven (come on Wednesday, I know you get do this!).
Anyways, I am barely resisting. Definitely think I'll be jumping in this week.
edit: Dammit. Just went to $150.
