Alrighty, using SS's rapidly uploaded plague alpha roster I have devised a 2000pt list using the least amount of boxes possible.

I'm a cheap skate and like hard plastic a bit more than restic, so I plan to convert plague zombies into plague warriors to pull this list off. There should be a few extra models (was hard to fit all of the HMG and GL into 2000 points and still meet all requirements).

2k WP Plague Alpha list:
1st gen x2
plagued teraton x4
plague trooper section(10) with hmg x2
plague warrior section(10) x4
2nd gen mutants(4) x3 (12 2nd gens however you wanna divide them)
heavy weapon section mortar/missile(3)
plague dogs(5) x2
Plague swarm(3)

I haven't gotten in too many warpath games so I dunno how that would play, but its a 2k list that you can make out of 2 faction starters 2 booster bundles a set of dogs and 2 boxes of zombies. If I've mathed that out correctly a 2k WP army for $155. DISCLAIMER: conversion required, making zombies into warriors/troopers will take a little work and will likely require some bitz not included in the aforementioned cost.

I wasn't even looking at the plague before this but if all I have to do is add 35 dollars in plague add-ons to my stupidly bloated pledge... May happen. As an afterthought, instead of getting the dog add-on, could just add in 3 grenade launchers to the warrior sections, was just trying to not have 3 "wasted" dogs, but it may be a better use of available models

EDIT: I just realized I was counting on 2x sprues of 5 zombies from assault pledge level. That may mean one would have to spend $165-170 for the above list unless there are enough extra 3rd gens laying around.

I remember when they said they were going to have a revolving 100k stretch list...Hasn't happened since day one but seriously, it's 3 days till the end, put up a few more stretchs to build excitement.

Zombicide was putting up batches of 4 goals at a time, and usually two of them were completed within a day of going up. Put up all the Booster packs and watch people put money into this. They'll know what they're getting and be more inclined to pledge more (I know I would).

I wouldn't be surprised if Mantic flooded the last day with purchasable add-ons. Oh, you weren't able to vulture the KS site all day? I guess you'll just have to add more when the pledge manager comes out...

I'm in for an early bird urban battlefield. Might up or drop it nearer the end depending on how much I can get for some old 40K stuff at a show before the KS closes.

I'll hopefully get enough for some battle mats as well

So a quick question, are the specialist booster single figures (skraw, enforcer with big gun, big mech marauder thing, 3rd gen with gl) available in first release in dec, or are they going to come in the second wave? Anyone know?

They were one of the earliest stretch goals, so I'm assuming first shipment.

Once the boosters are updated, Mantic should really put out beta warpath lists for rebels (along with any new units for the other lists). I'm interested in seeing how much 2 starters + BOGO boosters for rebels would cover in an army list.

Yeah, the beta list for the Rebs would definitely be nice.

As would dropbox working so I could work up what my proposed level of insanity is buying me... *shake fist*

I got almost 2k of plague for 2 starters and 2 bongo bundles but I got an extra 500 or so points out of zombies so a guess is 1500ish although it could be less if all of the rebs specialists are cheap or something.

^ Awesome, I'm eyeing up doing the same but will wait to see what happens with Rebs first.

Also, news just in - The arms on the deadzone enforcer captain are *separate*, so you can change the post if you want, easily. He doesn't have to have the gun pointing downwards.

The cape is also optional, and there will be an enclosed head option included.

So that removes one of my major reservations about that model; I really, really, really dislike the whole "go into combat without a helmet" aesthetic. I can tolerate it on aliens and poorly-equipped troops (where it's a different body/culture and not really by choice, respectively), but for a "regular" military force I always try to have fully-helmeted armies whenever possible.

It's looking like DZ has a pretty good chance of ending up in the #2 slot of my backer history...

Agreed. The only models I have that are bare headed for sci fi are my Space Wolves, and that's a completely fully choice.

Hmm. They really need to show off those boosters to get us up there. I really want to at least get all the specialist boosters, but I don't think I'm going to get there.

I agree. Only showing one of four boosters is hurting them. Not everyone is Enforcers, and, to me anyway, hiding and locking the faction I am interested makes me not want to invest more, not put more into it and hope that they will show/unlock my factions Booster.

Yeah, it seems like they are trying to keep this one down rather than have it blow up. Maybe they are just being more cautious this time.

Right now, I'm basically in for Strike + Asterian/FF. If we get through all the boosters, that's at least another 80-100 I'll pop in.

Yes, much better. With the arms being posable that really does vastly improve things on that front.

I would like to see what's on offer in the other booster bundles as well; while I'm mainly going to be focusing on the Enforcers I'd still like to see if there's anything particularly cool in the wings.

Now, back to trying to do finger math to figure out the number of models and how that compares to the Battlescribe unit counts...

Ahh too many stretch goals.
Pledged for Strike team + $65 so far. Was going to get the scenery packs, but now they've pointed out they're Atenocitis stuff I'm less inclined to pick them up just because of the Kickstarter... and now the Spartan stuff looks good too.
So I could get some more terrain (the $95 terrain bundle) or some boosters - 1 booster for each faction for $50, or 3 each for 2 factions.

Also I need that Jellyfish, depending on the scale.
Now... how to explain this to the girlfriend...

I'm thinking my captain isn't going to be wearing that cape.

Definitely looks a bit more imposing with the helmet down.

Hopefully they unveil everything as we get near that 48 hour mark.

My kids want Plague Teratons so I'm hoping we see them revealed soon. Maybe they'll surprise us with renders/ sculpts as well?

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!
