As the question and poll ask!
I'm not interested in what you've played in the past. I'd like to know what people are playing now. So, share!
My group is currently playing 3 separate Pathfinder campaigns and Star Wars by FFG.

My group is playing Dragon Age - one session every weekend.
If for some reason somebody doesn't make it, however, we're running "mini missions" with FFG's Deathwatch. It's better than either proceeding in the DA campaign with a missing character or cancelling the entire event, and the mission-centric nature of DW lends itself well as "something for in-between".

Cool advice on DW. That sounds very workable.
I'm not playing anything right now (don't have a group atm) but I voted as to what I would like to be playing: D&D, SW, or a 40k RPG. I'd also play Dragon Age but for whatever reason I'd personally include that in the D&D category (as opposed to WFRP).

I'm currently running an D&D/Iron Kingdoms game on the old d20 engine. The new system looked good, but the game was already going on for quite some time and we had just a bit too much homebrew crap going to easily make the conversion.
I'm currently playing in a barely-a-game D&D 5e playtest which is mostly an excuse for my playgroup to get together at the GMs house and make a bunch of bad jokes and eat some pizza before Warmachine/Hordes night.

Do you guys use a lot of minis playing the d20 version? The new version looks like minis are pretty much obligatory.

Yeah. All but one of us are WM/H players and so we're all flush with various miniatures from the universe.
I always found that the D&D 3.X rules were also written in a way that rather favors miniatures, when you get down to it. Honestly, if you're the kind of person who can get around not having "Squares" when you play 3.X, you could probably get away without having "Inches" when playing the new IK system with perhaps a few more head-scratchers related to cover and the like. Honestly both systems have rules that don't lend themselves readily to abstraction, IK only marginally more so.

I definitely played 3.X with miniatures and, after reading the new IK rules, knew that I'd have to invest in (more) PP models if I ever got into playing it! (Not a bad thing, IMO.)

Currently playing in 1 Pathfinder game, running another, and waiting on a permanent hiatus in a third... I'm okay with that... I was about to die!
Planned on starting up an IK RPG game here on Dakka, but that didn't really get off the ground.
Would love to play that at my house using my gaming table

Right now our RPG group are playing an 1930's Mafia game using Savage Worlds (It's our core system due to how simple it is to run)
We have in the past run Rogue Trader, Pathfinder, WoD and a GURPS zombie apocalypse game

I'm running two games at the moment (well I'm on a temporary break from one of them for a couple of weeks, but it hasn't "stopped".). Both are using virtual tabletops.
1 is a 4th edition Darksun game that has run from 1-16 over the last year and a bit (nearly 2 years now, sheesh). Big epic over-arching plot that was intended to run through all tiers of play from the start. Finding the system is getting a bit bloated at this level of play, so taking a short break while I plan and adjust for Epic Tier, when everything is going to simultaneously hit the fan. I run that with a few other ex pat friends from university.
2 is a homebrew game in pathfinder, where the characters are all dwarven brothers investigating their ancestral hold. This is only 3 sessions in, but so far it's been a total blast because of the group dynamic and the fact that I am very enthusiastic about the setting (limiting it to one hold has meant that I can spend a lot of time on detail and so on, which has improved things). This is run with the homebirds (or at least, the ones still in GMT) from University.
Past games include more D'n'D (lots more) in pretty much every setting bar faerun, Rogue Trader (good fun!), In Nomine and Gurps. Oh and Kult. And Seventh Sea. And probably a couple others. We're settling into a very normative D'n'D sort of routine now which I don't mind. I don't have as much time to spend on learning new systems and daydreaming about settings, and the wealth of material for D'n'D just makes it easy to run.

Finishing is often a major problem. I've got a decent track record of finishing things, I think only one of my campaigns petered out because of life problems, but some of the others I game with have a lot of unfinished projects. I find that it gets worse when someone has a "big idea" ending and is scared to go ahead with it without everyone being there, but people have faded away over time and so on.
Balance: To what level did you take 4th? And did you find any solution to the problems at higher levels with enemies having a metric ton of hitpoints and combat becoming a bit of a chore? I've been reducing hit points and increasing damage, but I'm wondering if I'm just not seeing the solution the system intended.
Edit: Alf: I use Maptool, which has it's advantages and disadvantages. It's free though, which is nice. I generally play with maptool and Google hangouts. I also pledged for Realm Works, so we'll see if that improves things!
Maptool's best feature is it's vision blocking and light source mechanics, which make "dungeoneering" much more fun than it would otherwise be.

This was, actually, the culmination of a storyline the GM had been running for something like 25 years, through 4-5 systems, and a lot of other players. The '4e' segment was just a couple years.

We have a pretty solid group and have 'finished' quite a few games. A couple have petered out from lack of interest in the particular campaign, of course.

I know you asked Balance, but I had a 4th game go to 30. Was damn fun and long. I halved most creatures hit points and the players did the rest. Also, using monsters from later supplements helps a lot. (MM3+)

We got to 14, and I agree 4e has some issues after a certain point. Managing PCs becomes frustrating after a point, as there's a lot of conditional weirdness that ends up not reflected on the power cards/lists. The math becomes a bit weird as well, as it can get to "OK, I'm +19 to hit, and do 33 damage... oh, plus a d6." The 19 is not an exaggeration, and I generally don't worry about 'optimized' characters beyond not being crappy. The damage might be a slight exaggeration. My rule of thumb as a player, is if I'm doing the 'right' thing I generally am always about 50/50 to hit most of the time.
I wasn't the GM, but we did skip some fights because the GM felt they were grindy and not-fun. No argument, although that messed with some of 4e's balance a bit. I feel like the adventures worked best when writers created interesting, clever scenarios instead of just straight fight scenes. Characters (including monsters) do a lot of ping-ponging as damage and healing trade of. Automatically Appended Next Post: I think I got turned off to 'high level play' in 4e a few years ago when I walked into a convention game at GenCon and had to absorb a level 25 character in something like 5 minutes.

I've been GMing an infrequent Deathwatch campaign for about a year. However, two of our players are moving so that will come to an end. (At least face-to-face... hmm...)
I've played Pathfinder Society at two conventions now and will be GMing my first session at a con this weekend. I'll also be giving Dungeon Crawl Classics a spin at the con.
My next goal is to get into a Pathfinder campaign either as a player or GM. I have some leads on players.

I run a Dark Heresy game every week on mIRC. 3 out of the original 5 dropped, so it is going slow a bit. Been at it for..oh, 2, 2½ years maybe?
I also run a face-to-face Dark heresy game down at my local store (much to my surprise) every 2 weeks, started a month ago or so. Also, half of them never played any P&P RPGs before, so it is an excellent way to get them into the hobby I'd reckon.
Despite my lack of intrest/talent in socializing, it appears my 4 players think of me as a top-notch GM (even the guy with 15+ years of D&D/Vampire experience). Not a session ends that they are already eager for the next game.
I try to join a game as a player, jsut that it either never get past for first few session (GM drops most of the time) or lack of space or time difference....bound to GM for for me it seems.
