You seem to misunderstand how a bionic arm works, it amplifies the strengt of the person augmented with it. Hence carrying the bolter would be a non issue, and most likely its not a Astartes patern one. More likely one built to standard human requierments.

All of them are stupidly oversized. The fluff has stated them to be .75 caliber..that means the bullet size, and rough internal diameter of the barrel, is 3/4 of an inch. The one she is holding has a barrel bore of around 7 inches...

While I know reality and the 40k universe are lightly connected, its not how a bionic arm should work, it could vastly amplify the crushing strength of the user, but for lifting/ punching/ ectr purposes the socket it is mounted (the human skeleton) on plays far more important role than the bionic arm itself, so despite the hydraulic/ fiber muscle strength it may have, the lifting power is purely dependent of the body, now if she has a complete artificial enhanced skeleton and muscles to support the bionic arm she can have enhanced lifting abilities, in the opposite possibility, the arm will damage the mounting point and in the extreme scenario rip itself off the mounting place.

Now staying on topic I would really love to see the work of Theodosis Stilianides be done in miniatures.

I will definitely be looking into more of this guy's artwork. The pic intrigues me, for a number of reasons, both in weapon/armor/load carriage design, and on a minor note, the guy in the middle appears to have a Washington Huskies patch on his uniform.

I think Magic: The Gathering often has some great imagery that could be turned into pretty cool fantasy miniatures (granted some are really weird).

All of the proportions in that picture are awful. The oversized bolter is just fitting in.

Newton's Third Law. The force required to lift that bolter is the equal of the force the wielder exerts pushing toward the ground. Unless her entire spinal and leg structures are sufficiently augmented, she cannot carry more weight than she could before. Ergo, the bolter must not be as heavy as I immediately presumed; she is sufficiently augmented and we can only see the arm; or Rule of Cool is in effect and therefore physics are negated in its favour.

You seem to not understand that even tho the arm may be bionic, the arm is still attached to the body. Which in turn holds up the arm and thus the bolter.

This is a universe with psychic space elves, daemons, and warmongering fungus. If you made it past that without it breaking your suspension of disbelief, I'd say that questioning how someone can hold up a bolter is unlikely to be the straw that breaks the camel's back.

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

Direct realisations of pretty much any of Mark Gibbons 40k or Fantay artwork would be amazing, particularly Nagash (for obvious reasons), but also a remade Avatar in GD size, also his LoC (the BT goes without saying though I'm not sure the pose would work in anything other than plastic).

Was gonna say the exact same thing. That bionic arm's wrist is about the length of her leg lol. Her head is about the same size as her fist, and that chalice is just a perspective disaster, the rim of the bottom part is about 3 foot away from where's it's supposed to be, which, for the record, would be somewhere inside her hand/wrist. The legs are also pretty disastrous. People have got really skilled with digital rendering, shame they haven't even put any effort into perspective.

ANYWAY, One of my favourite pieces of artwork is the Reaver jet bike one in the DE codex. I love how big and mean looking it is.

Oh btw that dune artwork is seriously cool.

Oh, I read about the C&D and thought I'd go for the joke; figured it should earn at least a few chuckles.

If I was being serious, heck, I think the picture of the SoB with one leg up, standing on a skull while standing in front of a wave of other Sororitas would make a pretty nice miniature. It captures the 'Okay, this is both friggen hilarious and AWESOME' that makes me love 40k. Plenty of other good pieces of artwork, but that's the one that jumps out in my mind. Battle Brother Scarface might be good too.
