Can we just disable these? I get a pop up from ESET every time I open a thread where someone has one of those pets in their sig about how Heresy-Online.net is unsafe and blah blah blah.

Do we really need tyranid gifs that badly?

Use adblock and block the domain.

We did disable them a while ago due to security issues at heresy. How long have you been getting popups?

The last few days. I get the popup on my company laptop which has ESET antivirus on it. My home PC doesn't have preventative software so I can't duplicate the result here.

They are a little obnoxious. Really, images in signatures are obnoxious in general.

I know you can disable them, but then you lose out on the few sigs that actually have meaningful links in them.

Here is an example of a thread that pops up for Heresy on my ESET.

Seems to only happen often in the showcase forum.

I have the same problem. Whenever something goes wrong on Heresy Online, it makes plenty of Dakka threads go awry.

It's a pretty serious problem if people are causing malware warnings to come up on this site. It's the sort of thing that will make people abandon it.

I can confirm that I'm getting these popups too.

I haven't seen these in anyone's signature in a long time, and I don't see any pets in the signatures of the posters in the thread linked to above... are you sure it isn't something else causing the pop-up?

Positive. Check the attached .png file. They're from the Heresy Online "adoptables".

I remember a few months ago when I ended up with multiple error messages when something went wrong over there. Yeah, it can get pretty bad at points. Afraid that I haven't got any screenshots, but the sig pets can get quite awry.
