Why yes, I did enjoy beating up on the worst codex out there. I have no idea how you managed to go undefeated up to that point
I'm just still getting revenge on you for the first time we ever played at Adepticon when all your stupid daemon units scattered close enough to my army to charge.
You made up for that bad luck the last time we played and Draigo failed his morale roll and you walked him off the table.

THE LVO WAS SO MUCH FUN!
We had a blast and it's crazy how fast it went by.
Ah ma, that was great, the hard work paid off and the evnt was a blast.
I am wiped, I need to sleep. I have about a million emails and PMs, I will get to them tomorrow or Wednesday. Thanks to everyone that came and had fun! More information to come tomorrow.
Now that you've had sleep, I'd like to congratulate on your patience and perseverance. I'd have gone ape shitake mushrooms/nuts over many things. Good on you, man.

Now just be sure to schedule the BAO in June, *after* school is out for the summer.
And I like Bally's. And I liked the barn, too. I have said before, it's not always the place that matters, it's the peeps.

Yeah, when they said they wouldn't get them out before the LVO, I figured they wouldn't this week either. Not a huge deal but I hope they at least update the KS page with some action shots from the LVO, where they put these to use first.

"Congratulations Alex Fennell for cheesing to victory in the Las Vegas Open, you should be suitably ashamed of yourself "
Maybe if the game he and his compatriots both current and past have produced didn't have glaring balance issues large enough to drive a Land Raider through, such lists wouldn't be possible.

Or he's giving some good natured ribbing to a fellow englishman.
Besides, Chambers left GW at the end of 3rd edition 40k, over 10 years ago. If you're going to blame someone for the state of the game, blame Jervis's vision and Phil Kelly's writing.
Taking things back on topic, congratulations to everyone who enjoyed themselves, did well, put the event on, or any combination of the three. Glad to see that FLG was able to turn their big gamble into a big win.

I just wanted to say a quick thanks to everybody I met at the LVO and to the organizers. This was my first major tournament and I had an absolute blast.
Particular thanks to the pleasant Canadian chap who was kind enough to fill in my results form at the end of our beerhammer match when I was too drunk to fill it in correctly.
I really have to say I was extremely impressed with how friendly and happy everybody was, I didn't have a single un-enjoyable game. I even made it to table 12 at one point and was obviously completely out of my league, getting tabled twice in a row.
The recent nerdrage on the internets has really opened my eyes to how detached from reality some of our internet compatriots are. I shall be ignoring the hysteria in future.
I have already bought my ticket to the NOVA and can't wait to do it again.

3. The Battle Brothers rule and rerollable invulnerable saves need to be fixed to restore sanity to 40K.
4. Always split Aces and Eights.
5. You can have fun in Vegas even if you don't drink.
6. It is possible for an army with no skyfire to shoot down 5 of your fliers in 1 turn.
(corollary: when a Swede offers to let you use his dice, DO IT!)
7. I had a GREAT time!

have you guys ever considered doing a retro tournament, say 5th ed or earlier. Id be down, just cant stand what 6th brought in, flyer rules, escalation, stronghold assault, allies. Not saying people don't have fun with them, but its not even remotely close to the game I started playing back when 3rd ed launched.

Lol, you can't exactly just drop 13,000lbs of Gaming Mats off at the local UPS! Haha, it took a semi to get them to our warehouse!
But, Frankie's at the Warehouse now, packing and shipping orders. We should have most of them out this week, international orders next week.
Automatically Appended Next Post: And thanks again to everyone who came and ahd fun and the dozens of folks that said they want to come next year, so cool! We will be in a bigger hall, for sure.

What a fantastic event. Major kudos and thank you's to Frankie, Reece and the rest of the volunteers that made this event possible.
I hear a lot of people talking about how much they want to come back next year, which is great. I do too. My only (half joking) question is, why wait until next year? I know I could use more than one Vegas GT a year :-)

Just want to say what an amazing time I had at LVO. Was my first ever 40k tournament outside my local FLGS and I can’t wait till next year. Tons of great people, hundreds of beautiful looking armies, and lots of flowing alcohol, what more could a man ask for.
If I have any gripe it might have been too good. How else can any other tournament hope to compare to you? Sure they always say the first time is special but how can any other tournament I go to possibly compete? Eating dinner with multiple GT winners. Waaaaghing throughout the streets of Paris from one bar to the next. Walking outside only to have people offer to whisk me away to the nearest strip bar. You have officially spoiled me for all other 40k events I go to now. I hope you are happy.

The best battle plans are the simplest. Just run forward and punch your enemy in the face.

I have to agree, My army suceeded because of the LOS blocking. making sure they can maneuver for a better chance.
