Purple rain
- 2 shots of vodka
- 1 shot of peach schnaps
- Top it up with lemonade and Blue Curaco
- Splash of grenadine over the ice to give it the melting purple look.

My go-to is a rum and coke. I'll drink a Seven and Seven or a gin and tonic on occasion. I'm also a big fan of margaritas, especially when enjoying some mexican food. Vodka and cranberry juice is also good....but I only make those when I'm at home by myself

See, that's too complicated for getting wasted. My preferences for that purpose are:
1) Grape Gatorade and vodka. I discovered this horrible melange when the only chaser at my disposal was grape Gatorade powder.
2) Everclear with Raspberry Ice Crystal Light. Raspberry Ice will cover the flavor of damn near anything, and stain damn near anything.

My recipe is the precise version of that drink. We usually eyeball it when we drink it, or make it in large batches before hand and then refrigerate it.
You don't taste the alcohol and it'll get ya drunk...

Personally, I prefer a good single malt scotch, neat.
But when I do waste time getting things mixed (or having others mix for me), I do enjoy the Old Fashioned, the Manhattan (thank you Mad Men for informing me of these great old school drinks)
Or a simple rum and coke, Irish Car Bomb (what do you call them in Ireland, since I already know you shouldnt say that there), or beer, again because beer is easy to get and easy to drink.

One of my worst experiences with drinking involved manhattans. I just assumed anything served in a glass as big as was handed to me was going to have some sort of mixer in it. Nope, just a tumbler full of whiskey and vermouth (and cherries) Can't stand them to this day.

I like a good MaiTai, or a Long Island Iced Tea, Margaritas (non frozen) are all good. But if I am drinking a nice glass of Fighting Cock Bourbon on the rocks does the trick. (These rocks Frozen for 3 hours usually does the trick they do not water down the drink, but still keep it cold). There is also this shot we make, we call it Sani Flush because it is super blue. it is a shot, and after three of them you are good. Yea, that is not a Cocktail PredaKhaine wrote:Buy lots of skittles. Sort into colours. You forgot to tell them to train the skittles out of the Vodka with a coffee filter.

Yes! I did this for a New Years party for a few years ago. I let the Skittles dissolve for about 4 days (shaking periodically) before I filtered it out with coffee filters. But that point, it tasted like liquid Skittles, and you could drink it straight from the jar...which is both a good and bad thing

Beerlao with redbull. Awesome to keep you going all day. About 70-30 mix is best. If you are in the unfortunate situation to not have access to Beerlao, most beers make a good substitute. Try it out. Serious.

I'm not sold on using just Whiskey stones. There is a certain benefit to them, but at the same time, a little actual ice doesn't hurt the scotch (whiskey, bourbon, etc...), because it helps open up the bouquet of the booze, and opens up the flavors... too much ice, and yeah you'll water down the drink too much... I tend to do about 1 to 2 ice cubes and then like 2 to 3 whiskey stones... Works great for me, but again, different strokes for different folks.

but I enjoy a good Weissbier sometimes.
If there is no beer to have, Tequila Sunrise or good old Jägermeister Fanta are acceptable substitutes.

Bailey's on the rocks is my go to drink, aside from beer. Irish carbombs used to be my "I don't want to remember whatever happens in the next 8 hours" drink, but for the last 10 years or so, I've switched to simple shots of Jaeger for that.

For me, I've very fond of Jack & Coke, despite the fact I like neithr Jack Daniels nor Coca-Cola. For some reason, when mixed, they both neutralize the parts of them that I dislike. It's inexplicable.
We also have one of those Ninja Master blenders, so I like making Pina Coladas; with Coco Rico and canned Pineapple juice, maybe some Malibu coconut rum. The only problem with these is that as pleasant tasting as they are, Malibu doesn't seem to actually be an alcoholic beverage. But, my wife likes them, so I make them, and then drink the leftovers.
I also like (frozen and salted) Margaritas, but don't generally make those at home. I'm the only one that likes Tequila, and I can't imagine blending up a whole pitcher just for myself.
