Just a few minutes left to get in on an original game with original models

This was an amazing Kickstarter. Not as flashy as a couple of other big tabletop games running at the same time like Dreadzone or Robotech, but I think AD has laid the foundation for a great game. Really excited for December when the game ships.

And frankly, amazed at so many last-minute pledges! Didn't think we'd actually get to $300K, but I guess a lot of people were waiting until the last hour to commit...or were just having a tough time figuring out how much to pitch in, as there are so many great add-ons! It's going to be dangerous for my wallet if we can increase our pledge level once the pledge manager is released...

Out of curiosity, is there a reason why the soviet stuff looks much more WWIIish whereas the Anglo-American vehicles have a decidedly WWI vibe?

The imperial main service tank looks like a scifi spin off of the t-34 and the Kichener is heavily inspired by the KV II. I'll rephrase... why does the british stuff look like knockoffs of soviet WWII tanks whereas the american stuff look like knockoffs of WWI british tanks?

Well, Soviet WW2 tanks (like T28) were based on British tank designs as well. It is not so far-fetched

It's because the Brits have started reverse engineering Martian stuff from the first invasion. So they have advanced tech, but it takes much longer for them to produce it.

Well, I finalized my order on the pledge manager. I didn't get any add-on stuff because my initial pledge was so darn high. I'm really looking forward to getting this stuff, and maybe playing a mash-up game with Martians vs. Mecha Front mechs!

I can't figure out what add-ons to pledge for at this point. Maybe just the command bunker and some of the other KS exclusives.

Already getting so much that it might be easiest to order anything else I want after fulfillment is complete. I do wish they had some WIP shots of the Goliath or Ironclads. The concepts are great, we haven't seen anything new since the beginning of the KS.

Now we just play the waiting game until our models ship in December, I think. Then we build and paint them. Then we look for other people who play the game (or rope people into it if you have both factions in numbers, which I did so I could try and bring people into the game from my gaming group.)
