Ian and i just finished the brutal meeting encouter between the Wasteladies and the Serpents (a raid no less!) and we were discussing that very date as a goodun.

I'll have to check with the boss with long hair of course but it would be good to get everyone together again for a full round of campaigning.

The Wasteladies have been knocked off the top of the table!! The sneaky Delaque of Serpents Embrace put the boot in during a mammoth Raid on the Wasteladies' gambling den! Every single Escher went out of action, though they managed to keep the territory. Two of the Wasteladies' gangers - Chanel and Crystal - died, and a further ganger - Mercedes - was captured.

Their gang rating dropped from 1507 to 1175! Pesky sneaky Delaque and their long ranged weapons..

Hmm, I should have let you use those Lascannons.

It's a shame that the mission constrained the Defender so much. Once my whole gang came on it was going to be a struggle for you. For my part I should have rushed your three gangers near the objective, it would have been quicker but I have to admit to being a bit too wary of the flamer. Too sneaky that's my problem.

This mission and lost of Pic are here - http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/0/543015.page#5939645

The Serpents are making Mercedes very comfortable by the way - she has the best bed in the den! [Evil cackle]

Good for me, as long as I get to play a capture scenario first - I need that damn ganger back!!!

In preparation, I've been doing the only thing possible after a depressing day at work for the girls - a MAKEOVER! They've been changing hairstyles, clothes, and swapping weapons around to get the best combination of equipment for each of them - I've sold some spare stubbers I probably don't need to raise the cash, and blown my meagre stash. In particular, I'm making a new model for Leigh, whose newly acquired 'Feint' skill means that a couple of swords would come in really handy. I've also bulked out the gang with Johnny Big Arms, a hired Pit Slave, to add some muscle. He'll have a Hammer in the end...

We have a new challenger - Jaaaah-onny BIG ARMS! Cool new models Ian, it looks like I have even less reason to get close to the Wasteladies.

Tom gets a power axe for a captured Waster, The Serpents get an angry Pit Slave! Necromunda is sooo unfair.

Tom, I should hopefully be able to finish work early on Friday, say 2-3?

As you suspected, the mission was changed later on - in the NCE edition, the attacker only gets 4-6 models and bottles at 50%. As I read it more, the NCE becomes more and more attractive, it lacks on solid outlanders rules but nobody is using them anyway!!

Next time....

How does everyone feel about getting a couple more people involved? I could post a message here, or ask on the Overlord Facebook page...

I think that's a good idea, more people the better I think - just no more Eschers!

Ok, I've been doing some painting. Annoyingly, my two dead gangers were also two of my fully painted models!! Anyway, only four more girls left to finish and base now. Some of the names/models have been swapped a bit to better reflect the skills they've gained, and Leigh's new look is finished...

UPDATED - All models painted! Here's how the gang looks at the moment

I'm all set for Sunday.

The boys are getting bored with Mercedes' requests for hair product and looking to do some Fightin'.

Looking at Jonny I think I might invest in some higher Strength weapons!

Man, I really like how you pulled off the conversions of those Dark Age minis as Eschers. Always been a big fan of Dark Age, just could never convince anyone around here to play it. Is that a converted daemonette in there too? Cant place the other two ladies, but they look like they are form the same manufacturer/range. They all work very well together.

I think you guys should switch over to NCE. There's people working on settling down the crazy that are the Outlanders rules, if necessary.

yeah,
The Cult of Dirt crashed into the WasteLadies at a eerie green Chem Zone!
Spoiler:
As we were playing on ArbitorIans new chemical tanks terrain we played the frozen assets mission.

Huge very dangerous clouds of green chemicals drift around the board at random.
all shooting at long range has and additional -1 mod.
Its also more likely that guns jam - All Ammo rolls have a -1 mod.

The First Gas cloud passes across the waste ladies and dissipates.
Michael Bolton, Port wood and Samir, use the vents to take up positions on top of the storage tanks.

The first exchange of fire sees Lumbergh And Milton Pinned.
Bob Slydell gets clipped on the side of the head and goes out of action.

Portwood and Samir wound two Wasteladies, but the shooting causes their guns jam in the cold.

Lumbergh and Milton get back on their feet and The WasteLadies charge in!

Dr swanson watches in horror as Lumberg is sliced in two by Chelsea and Miltons skull is smashed in by Johnny Big Arms.
The Cult Bottle it!

Bob Slydell also Dies from His gunshot wound.

.
..
Lumbergh Dead!
Milton Dead!
Bob Slydell Dead!
What a disaster!

Dr SwansonPeter Gibbons Takes over as head of the Cult!
He buys a new Juve with a Club and auto pistol and names him 'Nu Bob S'
The gang has taken a beating... Zero game wins yet!
Gang value drops to 630... and rating bombs to 929

Yeah! Three kills to the girls and Johnny Big Arms' first game.

Also, your guy with the highest Ld becomes the leader - and he gets all the skills of a leader, too. (See gang leadership in comp 2)

HOLD ON A MINUTE!

I just saw the rules for Dogs - immediately after the rules for gang leadership in Compilation II

Does anyone mind me using those rules? Can I buy a chav dog for my chav girls? I think I've a convincing Staffordshire Terrier model around somewhere.....

ALSO, Notprop - the Rescue Mission scenario is another Raid, which might go on for ever again. Fancy playing one of the 'Captive Audience' missions from the compilation? The Escape mission, on p227, looks like it might be very fast...

Man alive SMOG TOWN is a brutal place to do business!

Three more dead for the butchers ledger, I don't remember the Underhive being this deadly back in the day?

Ian - I haven't read the compilation yet but will try to take a look later, we could always change the finishing/bottling criteria for a raid if needed. Either way I'm happy, such is the will of the Underhive.

So I take it you guys are using the Necromunda rules off of the GW website? I will say, the gangs are a little unbalanced in that ruleset (Eschers are ridiculously good...). The Community Edition is actually more balanced with each gang having more advantages and disadvantages and the skills are waaaay better balanced than the living edition.

Loving following your progress, the gangs and tables look amazing! Wish I was in the UK to participate!

Ozy, you can participate right here in California .

Yes, the community edition rules are much more balanced....some of those skills were just too good in the original rules. In the games we've played, the game seem much more balanced overall. We're also using a house rule that if you are on an elevated position with a railing within 1" you get to re-roll you initiative check for falling when taking fire.
