Start filling up the # of Squigs first, then the NG handlers since they always have to be in the unit's back. That's how we deal with it, but then again, it isn't much of an issue. What are the chances of a NG with a Wizard hat rolling Regrowth?

Ha well 3 dif answers! 1 for caster picks, 1 for randomize, and 1 for squigs first per squig rules!
I'm not near my army book but I thought handlers being in the back was an old rule sig? I thought you could put handlers up front now if you'd like?
Which leaves me between caster picks, and randomize.. Well it could matter greatly duke! If caster chooses you could Rez whatever is more helpful in that key situation... If need to cross field, Rez more handlers so don't explode...
If already in combat and handlers safe...
And want more punch... Rez squigs..
Which would lead me to interpret it similar to Matt. Randomizing first, and overflow can heal others
What there 8 lores, 6 spells in each you can roll? So 48 spells possible? 2 rolls, so 1:24 chances (a bit higher i would say with chance to roll double and pick a spell) is my guess.
I have got dwellers, transformation of Kadon when I wanted em badly so there's always hope lol you know gak in one hand though..
Just in event it came up wanted to have a good idea of how to handle it!

Seriously, if you happened to get regrowth, and managed to get it off, why would you cast it on squig herds? You've got to have a better target.
Rat ogres on the other hand...

Dear DakkaDakka forum,
I just want to make a "@". I do not want to always make a quote start / end when I press the exact same combo to get a "@". Don't assume I do. Seriously. It's fecking annoying. Thanks.
Best regards,
Sigvatr

@Squigherds: Yes, you can now mix-match them...in theory. You usally want the Squigs in front to maximize the unit's damage output - when a Squig dies, you don't want it to be replaced by a weak NG.
On the other hand...you might want to, but we're getting into really muddy TFG territory here. 2 problems.
1. Have a unit with NO squigs and only NG. to get a ItP tarpit...and the Squigs Run Wild! special rule that allows you to use it even without any Squigs in the unit...but I REALLY don't believe in this being RAW.
2. Said it above already: people claiming that you can use Squigs Go Wild even w/o Squigs.
In comp, both of these are considered illegal and I really agree with it not being RAW...and even if some claim it is, it may be legal but it's 100% arsehole behavior.

Matt I realize its improbable, but it is possible so knowing how to deal with the possibility seems reasonable to me!
@sig (lol never noticed the @ bidness you speak of) I was just saying that because the squig her rules don't force you to place squigs in front, there doesn't seem to be evidence to automatically put squigs back first. In most cases it would probably be best. I wasn't bringing up any TFG scenarios or. Builds either. Just more or less talking about when you have a 30/10 herd and you take a stone thrower to face and become 20/3 or something. When your turn rolls around it may be in best interest to get that bomb on down the road with a longer fuse (more herders). In that event if i had my choice I may put 4 herders back and no squigs simply to help them get to target ?
I agree the squig less herd is muddy waters I won't wade Into. Does not seem in spirit of the game

Kroxigor are multi-wound and resurrected first. Same with the others. Only Squigs are a black hole.
I don't think you should randomize. It's your spell. Let the controlling player decide. If he resurrects squigs they do more dmg, but you can still run into problems. So it's not a clear advantage either way.

It doesn't actually say that multi-wound rank and file are rezzed before single wound rank and file (unless it is in an FAQ that I've not seen?), because the rule doesn't deal with mixed RnF.

Simply roll it off or flip a coin in friendlies. It's 50:50 between random or choosing how wounds are allocated.
In tournaments, clear this up with your TO / ref BEFORE the game.

thanks for input on that guys. i'll double check with TO to be clear. I dropped a squig herd from my 3k tourney list for this weekend, just to add a wizard hat boss back in because of this thread. If I can manage to take pics I'm going to try and actually do bat reps so maybe i'll get something schweeeeeet WIZARRRRRRD HAAAAAAT YEAH.

Dont own the current O&G book, so not too sure of the wording.
But along the lines of healing and complicated issues, would it be possible to "regrow" fanatics?
Or would the rank and file section kill that idea?
Also, with skaven, im assuming weapon teams go the same way?

You cannot regrow Fanatics as they are not a rank-and-file model, they are "Special Unit Type".

Special unit types can be regrown; as Skinks with Krox clearly have rank and file, and they are now type special.
The problem with regrowing fanatics is, while they are bought with goblins, score with goblins, and released with goblins, they are their own unit.
With only 1 wound and 1 model, they are either at full health, or wiped out. You can't target a unit that is wiped out to replace it.

haha. I do what I can.
The wizard hat provided a good bit of service in tournament. Definitely not anything to write home about though. May or may not have forgot to cast anything with it during 1 entire game, woops. One game he did get pit of shades vs VC and made them use a boat load o dice to dispel it each phase as I was about to shoot it through a 900 point GG+vamp unit. Allowed me to foot of gork them down to a SINGLE model.. to which they were raised back to 6 or 7 strong by end of game... Bollocks!
Never got life/regrowth though so never tried to heal any squig herds!
