is it just me or is APOC merging with 6th ED? it seems the new wraith knight is a massive inclusion for eldar, every release it seems something bigger and badder is released?

heres hoping a titan is released for SM (wishful thinking)

If apoc was merging with 6'eth... it wouldnt be a normal game any more.

The wraithknight is a knight class titan in all respects. Actually, its larger than the knight class titan should be. I doubt we will be seeing Str D weapons or hull points, but models may reach a point where its pretty close. Esp once we see a new nid codex.

So far, rumors seem to suggest that Wraith Knights are exactly as durable as 2 Wraithlords(T8, but with 6 wounds instead of 3 and 3+ save). So, I wouldn't really classify that as Apocalypse. Although that Str 10 is pretty nasty for Eldar who are use to relying on Lances.

My Trueborn could destroy those in a second

I'd be scared if it had T10 S2+ and 6 wounds.

Otherwise, have the nearest Trygon with toxin sacs eat it.

64 in 4374 to get all hits after rolling a 6 for number of shots. ( 1x(2^6) in 6x(3^6) chance )

64 in 279936 to get all wounds after getting all hits after rolling a 6 for number of shots. ( (1x(2^6)x1 in 6x(3^6)x(2^6) chance )

Reducing that, we get:

1 in 4374.

Does that seem right to any math buffs? School was like over a decade ago, and even though math was my best subject, we never did probabilities, and this whole thing took me like 15-20 minutes to figure out WITH a computer's calculator.

Edit: Kinda irrelevant I guess. It's still a good idea to shoot at it, since you're likely to do at least SOME damage.

It does however still put it right up with multiple Gargantuan Creatures in terms of stats, notably sharing most of its statline with the Harridan and Heirodule.

On topic: Bigger model =/= apoc, example: the Valkyrie is pretty big, bigger than say the FW Malcador, even tho said Malcador is still a Super-Heavy.

Apoc is not a game, there isnt any gaming involved in it. Its just like when you were 6 years old and just lining up all your toys to admire them.

Wow, that's a hell of a wrong statement.

The Wraithknight a large model, that much is true. Unless they introduce superheavies into standard 40k games then I don't see a merge of 40k and its expansion happening. There are some 40k-level scenarios that include a superheavy in some capacity (one in the Battle Missions book, notably) but they aren't full-on Apocalypse. This is just GW wanting to make big, shiny toys, and then introducing them to the game.

I predict the Hierodule coming into the new Nid codex.

I'm reserving judgement on this subject until a new apoc rule book comes out. But I think they're trying to make apoc cool again, or just more mainstreem. Bringing fliers and big walkers may make people more aware/willing to try the bigger games. Either way I like some of what they're doing even if most of it is fairly ham fisted feeling.

No, it's really an accurate summary of Apocalypse: put your pretty models on the table, spend an hour while your opponents roll dice and tell you which ones to take off the table. Repeat until it's several hours later, you've finished one turn, and everyone packs up without even bothering to check who was claiming the objectives (not that anyone bothered to worry about them while playing, since it's more "fun" to just shoot each other).

Point the first: Yes, I do post stuff without bashing 40k. Usually I'm bashing WM/H or Malifaux instead. /sarcasm.
Point the second: I stopped playing. I never said I sold my army. ANY of them. I GAVE one away and I still own three of them. Which is not "selling it". It's the same as tossing it in the garbage skip - because after it left my hands, I no longer cared what happened to it.

Although I did RUN a 40k tournament two weekends ago for my club so I obviously can't hate the game that much. I just hate playing it. If I'm running a tournament, I don't have to play in it. So it's all good. Besides, I had beer. Beer makes even baseball tolerable - so 40k is a cakewalk with beer.
