Team Fortress 2 would work wonderfully as a board game or skirmish game. Brother Vinni makes a number of "not Fallout" minis that I'm pretty sure have been brought up in this thread before, but a box of multipart plastic raiders or Brotherhood of Steel paladins would make me so goddamn happy.

Phantasy Star Online...not sure if I'd want a skirmish game or what not, but I would definitely dig a line of PSO themed minis for rpgs.

Actually, for a skirmish game I'd love to see Valkyria Chronicles minis!

Surprised there's only one mention of Dark Souls so far. Shameful!

Mine would obviously be Monster Hunter. Poots seems to have been inspired a bit by MonHun as it is with his Kingdom Death game, what with going on hunts, scrapping the monsters for loot to churn into weapons and gear, attack specific points on the monster to disable it, upgrading your village... just a whole lot more dark and sadistic. Monster Hunter does have a LOT of variety when it comes to both monsters and equipment designs these days.

Or, we could take all of those games' inspiration and just make figures based on Kentaro Miura's Berserk. After all, they've made games out of it a few times.

I always wanted Metal Slug figures, or at least the main slug tank. That'd be great in 25mm. Just thinking about Metal Slug gets the 2nd game's first stage music rolling in my head. HEAVY MACHINE GUN.

I'd like to see a classic RPG monster line from Square/Enix. Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy familiar faces- slimes, chocobos, tonberries... Yangus. King Trode. Alena. Torneko. Cloud.

I would also love some of the ornate and over the top ridiculous designs from some of the Korean MMOs.

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

Because everyone and their dog would want to be Sunbro or Ornstein.

Plus, to be honest if any video game company were on board with letting someone use their IPs to do this, it would be Valve, especially with TF2

That is far less than likely.

Valve, while 'open' when it comes to the gamers is ridiculously stringent and obnoxious when it comes to licensing and outside companies getting involved with their products.

Not any specific video game, but I've been working recently on capturing the feel of a RTS in a tabletop game. The idea I've been working on is that instead of deploying your army at the start of the game and only using points to build your army you instead have a deck of possible units that you use resource points you acquire during the game to deploy. It's still in the larval stage, but I'm working on getting the mechanics polished.

*bursts though room with axe* HEEEAAARRRS JHONNY!!!

I really would like a Halo Skirmish game... wouldn't mind a few promethean minis and Spartans...

I also really would love a Transformers Fall of Cybertron skirmish game, those rules would be really unique, flavoursome and really good fun, and if they got quite a bit of money they could explore the lines and go off into other series as well

And a Metro 2033-2034 skirmish game would be brilliant, nice backstory, could incorporate unique yet easy and fun rules (such as volume of Oxygen if your on the surface) and lots of other details and squads could be really customisable as well

Floor-ahhh-duhhh!

I am really surprised that no one has mentioned the Bioshock games. That universe would translate well into a skirmish game. Have gangs of psychos or humans trying to survive add in the fact you can get a big daddy or two on your side. Could have several objects to play out like capture the creepy little girl, take down the enemy team's Big Daddy, etc.

Peace.

Put my vote in for Deus Ex: Revolution. As irritating as it was to play (yes, we all know that you didn't ask for this, Adam) the art direction was phenomenal, and the cybernetics system would lend itself well to game mechanics.

Another that I think has a lot of potential is Dishonored. Plenty of fascinating characters and mechanics that would be great for a skirmish game. Plus, I'd buy the feth out of a Corvo mini.

I'd also love to see a Mass Effect game, if only to steal weapons from for use in Infinity.

Empire : Total War.

Fallout.

I'm only serious about one of the two above.

I've often thought the Gears of War Locust and Halo Covenant would port very well into the 40k rules. Whilst they'd diminish the setting, I reckon both factions could fit quite capably.

I don't know about minis, but a board game similar to Romance of the Three Kingdoms would be cool.

yep got that covered, while most of the resources come from putting units on Logistics Duty (if I decide to go for a more modern or sci fi theme) or putting them in the "focus zone" (if I decide to go in a more fantasy direction) a lot of the scenarios have "resource fields" in addition to main objectives where if you place an infantry unit in it and your enemy has no units in it, it contributes resources to your side.

No, no, no, you misunderstand me good sir. I want a dump truck I have to move into an area, spend an action/turn there, and then return it to my base...

yea that's going to be a special type of unit in one of the expansions called a "Red Ball" that basically rolls up to one of those zones, spends a turn loading, then heads back to your base to give you a lot of extra resources. there's just one problem: each faction's red ball has a different drawback: for example the Germanian one has a driver who's been mainlining caffeine and meth, so there's a chance he'll do something crazy like spend a turn driving in a circle. originally I was going to have that kind of system, but it got in the way of the main attraction: the combat, and it slowed down game play significantly.

I was mostly joking, but now I think I'm pleasantly surprised.

I wouldn't mind a few boutique miniatures from Dark Souls, though I might as well just grab Kingdom Death: Monster for that aesthetic!
