Agreed Minx, I have to confess it didn't occur to me that they might offer a recording. I think it's a long-shot, but it's certainly worth asking!

However, I'll also point out that seeing a recording of a seminar is different than actually participating in one, as you can't ask questions / etc. But it's still something I'd love to see, and pay for, if they would offer it

Also, just for the record you are not magically bound by an NDA as a result of backing a kickstarter . This was brought up in another thread, too, when someone copied a "backers only" update for others to see. I'm not sure where that rumor comes from, but of course it is good form to treat a project creator with good faith, assuming they are doing the same to their backers. But it's just that, good form- you are not bound in any way to hold what they share with you in confidence.

A recording of their (fee-based) 3d seminar is quite different to a backers only update though since it's one of the products offered via kickstarter and not information about the product. It's more akin to a copy of a novel(la) that gets released as part of a larger kickstarter project. NDA is therefore probably the wrong term, sorry for that. Nonetheless thanks for asking them; perhaps there are more that are interested in that particular material.

It's a little thing, but that helmet is utterly delightful.

I did not miss any important point but apparently my post wasn't clear enough for everyone, my bad.

Edit: removed the needlessly confrontational reply

They've also posted it up on their Raging Heroes Facebook page, I think the latest addition to the team is going to be a keeper.

One of the bonuses to communication as sparse as they have been would be that any uptick in it would represent a marked improvement. I'd love to see more WIPs, incomplete 3d renders, and stuff they are kicking around the office.

Perhaps you would like to tell me?
Or better yet, both might recall we're only talking about toy soldiers and there's no reason to get tense. Thanks!

Hey, I got an extremely reasonable and quick reply, sweet

Hi!

It's a good question, and a good idea. I'll put it forth to the Team, and
get back to you on Monday, if that's OK with you?
If you haven't heard from me by Tuesday, please do drop me another note.

Cheers,

Mireille

Very stoked to get a quick reply and will be even more so if they offer up the recording for sale

Well, it looks like RiTides may have helped expand the project in a fascinating way. I wasn't invested enough to pledge for a seminar, but I would also pay for watching a video of their techniques.

I'd totally buy RiTides a beer and chips to sit on the couch and watch it with him.

Just so long as there are grabby hands.

The fact that their new hire (I assume) is posting frequently is great. Even if it is content they've already shared. At least its something to keep engaged with. If nothing else it let's us know that their office didn't fall into a sinkhole destroying all evidence of their existence.

It's a start, they're already being a lot more active, which is always good as it beats the radio silence we're usually treated to.

Well, there's always going to be some settling in time for a new guy. Though, assuming that they hired him based on previous experience with communications the transition into the new role should hopefully not be too long.

Most of the delay is probably RH wanting to keep a close eye on what's being posted at first so that their top secret processes aren't revealed to the world.

@Alastair: We totally agree with you on this.
In fact, we had planned to touch base with you yesterday and give you some news of what's going on right now at Raging Heroes. But we got caught into the preparation of the Webinars (the first 2 sessions were moved from last week-end to this one because of Internet issues), and so the Update got side-tracked. However, we have a big Update planned for next week with new sculpts so once again, a lot of new images.
As you know, we also have a new member in the team who works exclusively on communications, but he's still getting his feet wet as there is so much information to absorb and so much stuff to set up. On top of that, so early in the game, we all prefer to make sure that his communications are Ok'd by the team, and as mentioned before, the team is pretty busy. But this is already evolving.
He will soon be posting tidbits and snapshots of what's happening here every day.

Well, they've not misplaced their login details for the KS site, just don't trust the new guy with them yet, which is certainly understandable.

As for the updates, the one yesterday could have been roughed out by the new guy and then approved / finished off by a longer serving member of the team without it taking too much time. With regards to the one next week, we've been here before...

Maybe that's the safest thing for him to do at this point in time. He can't reveal any proprietary process information through shoe-pron or delicious gifs.

Semi-Update on Facebook:
MAKE 'EM TALK AND WIN A 15€ VOUCHER!

Each week, try to win a 15€ voucher off Raging Heroes miniatures. How? Starting tomorrow, we post a pic, you comment with your caption suggestion, and 3 days later, we pick our favourite caption and award the winner a 15 € coupon off our minis in our webshop.

Magali Genet gave us the idea when she commented on this picture of Natasha. So she became our first winner (congratulations!), we added the caption on the image, and we decided we should do this with all our minis, and that you should all be involved. Have fun !

We'll post a picture every Tuesday at 8:00 AM (GMT+1), and you have 'til Thursday 8,00 PM (GMT+1) to add you caption in the comments below.
Every Friday, we'll announce the winner by posting the picture with the new caption.

Note: Please comment on Raging Heroes's Page. We love you for sharing our posts, but unfortunately, we can't follow comments on other pages, you'll understand

So stay tuned for our first image tomorrow morning!

Well, that's a step in the right direction at least. Just have to see how long they can keep it up for whilst also getting some more frequent KS updates out.

Well, shouldn't be too hard if it's a new member of the team running that stuff, whom is essentially not involved in the super-duper top secret design process.

I left this thread for a week or so since it was getting heated, but frankly, Cincy summed it up pretty well here. Same thing (for me) with a lot of Vinni's stuff. I'm happy to leave it at that.

Now I shall read and catch up on the rest of the thread, replying as I go as I always do, and possibly invoking the wrath of Alphie!
