That's got to be a bitter blow right there - having to admit that you're in fact 2nd best?

Glad to see this one moving forward again!

This. Put simply, scale will determine if I buy one or two of the more characterful models to paint and display, or if I drop a lot of money to make an actual army.

One or two characterful models it is then, I'd think!

My plan still is to get a nice small Count as Space Marine and/or SoB army. As long as these models are not twice the size of the opponents figures, I don't REALLLY care about it.

My Warhammer Fantasy Empire army is a almost purely Perry Miniatures one and their minis are a lot smaller and thinner than the GW ones. So far everyone has liked it. So I'm really not that bothered by the scale...a s long as it's consistent.

Well, we'll find out soon enough when someone cashes out with wave one and gives us a nice side by side of actual models.

Well unless each troop squad is its own detachment. Squads will look accurate as their own squad and when moving around the board any difference wont be noticeable in comparison to other squads. Unless you're planning on mixing normal ig with TGG then it'll look weird. Honestly the TGG would make accurate female space marines since space marines are SUPPOSED to be taller than normal troops. however I feel that no one is going to use that option.

And this - it's always bothered me that the Smurfs don't TOWER over other 28mm figures. Aren't they supposed to be 7-8 feet tall?

I think I'll start with my freebies and see how they compare. If the size is close? Fine. If it's off by a head or so? Yeah, I'll be stopping at the freebies.

Suffolk, where the Aliens roam.

I don't really notice the difference with the three sister figs mixed in with my Guard, so that's not really been a concern from the moment I backed this and I do plan on mixing them.

Look forward to seeing the pledge manager a long last, also need to double check my pledge etc and make sure they give me the correct total to spend.

Ah, if they're doing it via KS PMs, I suspect I'll be at the bottom of the list rather than closer to the top. Still waiting on a final response to my last PM and that's been dragging on a few days.

I just went through the pledge manager

It's a little unwieldy in places, but it seems to get the items in the cart and check out okay.

I got:

Freebies:

Drusilla Lepic, Sky Captain of the Jet Girls (IE) (KS exclusive)
Ash, Tank Gunner (JB) (Freebie)
Butterfly Lulu (One Of The Lulus) (Freebie) (JB)
Charlie, KST Mascot (Freebie)
Harry the baby Hippo, JB Mascot (Freebie)
Lucky Lucy, Spotter (JB) (Freebie)
Kristina Karlstein, Armoured Division Officer (IE) (Freebie)
Jinx, IE Mascot (Freebie)
Jaheda Kano, Armoured Division Officer (KST) (Freebie)
Natasha, Com Operator (KST) (Freebie)
Nertha, the Faceless Mother (IE) (Freebie)
Nurse Karoline, Field Medic (KST) (Freebie)
Raven, the Chainbreaker (JB) (Freebie)
Svetlana, the Light of Freedom (KST) (Freebie)
W101, Cyberzombie Bodyguard (IE) (Freebie)

Iron Empire:
2 Iron Empire Jet Girls
Mortaria Noctis, Hitwoman (IE) (Material: Spin-Cast Resin)

KST:
Commander Elektra Eisenstein - Armored Division (KST)
Irina Vega, Orbital Strike Commander (Adviser) (KST)
Ivanka Kurganova (Snow version), Battalion Commander (KST)
Karmina Noxx, Elite Sniper (KST)
Volga Potemkine, Army Standard (KST)
Tarja, Yaga Soul-Weaver (KST)
Sashenka, Yaga Soul-Weaver (KST)
2 KST Regular Troopers - Command Group
3 KST Regular Troopers - Troops

Jailbirds:
Cruz, Heavy Gunner (JB)
Foxy Dynamite, Infiltration Specialist (JB)
Harry the baby Hippo, JB Mascot
Lieutenant Parker (JB)
Mad Nurse Bernadette (JB)
2 Mimi the Radio (JB)
One-Shot Blondie (JB)
Punky, Army Standard (JB)
Tania Tanker, Tank Specialist (JB)
Yoko the Psycho, Pyromaniac (JB)
4 Jailbirds Artillery 01
4 Jailbirds Artillery 02
4 Jailbirds Artillery 03
2 Jailbirds Sniper Unit
2 Jailbirds Motorbike 01
2 Jailbirds Motorbike 02
2 Jailbirds Motorbike 03
2 Jailbirds Mecha
2 The Lulu, 5 Stray Kids (JB)
5 Jailbirds Regular Troopers - Command Group
10 Jailbirds Regular Troopers - Troops

I had an early-bird Colonel pledge, and had to add a few dollars to top this off, but I'm pretty happy with the number of models in there. I'll have 75 jailbird bodies to work with, plus the heavy weapons, snipers and characters, so that should work really well for a guard detachment, with the KST acting as stormtroopers.

I just went into some of the older updates.

10 Internet kudos for the first one to correctly guess fromhow many months ago this statement is: (it's part of a KS update)

"Pledge Manager

The final Pledge Manager is not quite ready yet, as we want it to be as efficient as possible for you to make your choices, and for us to be able to suitably manage the orders. As you know, there are many items available in this Kickstarter, and furthermore, the wave shipping system adds a layer of complexity to the project. As there are almost 3000 backers selecting their choices between 100 different items shipped in several waves and you can understand that the management of your order means that we have to set up something pretty much comparable to a full-blown online shop."

That sounds like a 2013 update, I'm going to say October, so ~7 months ago.

When you pick your minis, does it also say when the mini will be sent out or when that wave will become available?

It says which ones are pre-orders, and therefore I would imagine that those not listed as pre-orders are ready to go.

It doesn't say when the pre-orders will become available. It does have info about the shipping plans. I live an hour and a half from the closest "drop location" and have other projects to work on, so I'm content to wait and get everything delivered together when they have it all ready. Since I pretty much got the whole line of the Jailbirds, (except the ogress), I figure that'll be when the 3rd and final wave is set, but I'm in no rush.

Suffolk, where the Aliens roam.

I basically got 1 of everything, plus multiples of the following..

IE Artillery - 3 of each
IE Heavy Troops - 4 or both
IE troops - 2 of both
Plus two extra bikers so can make a squad of five

JB Artillery - 2 of each
JB Troops - 3 of each
plus two extra bikes

KST Artillery - 3 of each
KST Heavy troops - 2 of each
KST Troops - 4 of each
KST Snipers - 2 lots
KST Walker - 2 lots
plus 2 extra bikes

Will happily finish off my two main Guard regiments, and allow Aura to mix in some Krieg with Iron Empire to make her Traitor Guard.

It was a bit slow to use, but not too bad, glad its sorted. Oh and I went for White Metal all round, not willing to risk resin problems with some of the heroes equipment and sending it out over the three waves.

For those that have been allowed to see the manager, does it include pictures of the weapons for the trooper and command boxes?

Hmm, I may have to put one (or more) wolves back into my list. Though that means either a full rework again or adding extra cash at checkout.

Dude... we own the store, we don't get fancy things like lunch breaks. Let alone 1-hour ones. That's the kind of thing you do when you have employees. I'm lucky we laminated a little sign that says "back in 2 minutes" to get a potty break.

Frak. My co-pledger thinks he's going to drop the idea.

Wait......this is a real thing, right?

This is real people getting real pledge managers?

I am genuinely stunned by this developmet.

You guys didn't all get together and decide to have a jolly jape at my expense right?

Now I'm worried - the sheer excitement of actually, finally, really getting to choose my stuff coupled with the closeness of pay-day doesn't bode well in terms of adding extra stuff in.

But...YAY....this almost feels like progress
