Wow. Xenos/Chaos look like the armies people most want to play, with SOB and IG following.

I would say grey knights. The models are so detailed and cool looking. And they are the complete opposite from my ork army. Each warrior is a force to himself and they fight for a higher purpose.

I still love my orks though. So every other race/faction can zog off

I play DA, CSM, and Necrons.

I would love to play IG (especially DKOK) for the rediculous amount of options they have. Unfortunately with prices hiking up again, horde armies tend to get expensive.

I'd also like to dab into orks and SOB.

Tyranid, without a doubt, always been my favorite opponent and always harbored a desire to build a army..even went so far as to amass a bunch of the old metal ones back in the day, had them all ready in boxes, and then a divorce happened , and the boxes all disappeared, funny how dangerous a ex-wife can be to the all consuming horde....

I love the look of the Chaos Daemons but my paint skills are not up to the task to paint those models.

I am not sure how they play but if I do start an army with them I think I would go Mono Khorne for my army. They are the only ones I like but they look pretty sick.

EDIT: I do also like the look of the tzeetch guys aswell, I just don't like nurgle or slaneesh

I honestly get more excited when I know I'm about to play against an Ork army more than any other. Some of the coolest looking models in my opinion, and a blast to play against. There's a certain excitement I get when I'm facing Orks. The unpredictability of everything is awesome.

I get the same thing. I have no idea why.

but in all seriousness, I love Nurgle as theyre very pro-conversion, but if thats too close to home I've got to go with Necron, the monolith has always caught my eye, I could never play them though because of the retreat rule, it would just irretate me.

I have Orks, DE, Chaos, SW, Tau, and some Necrons. The army that I will next indulge in is Eldar. I love a lot of their models and apparent game play.

Haha, no to be fair, i take what i said back, i do like the look of the sisters of battle, their industrial gothic style screams 40k, but it's just too poorly executed for me to like them enough

For me its kind of split into two categories for this topic:

-Best Race in Regards to competitiveness: Necrons

-Best Race in Regards to Fluff and Models: Eldar

Orks Waaaghmacht Spearhead 2500pts.

If I was to collect another army right now it would be necrons.they have some great options, great model ranges and some awesome foreword models. Although people say they arnt great these days I've always been a big fan of monoliths and ofc wraiths are awesome.

If it wasn't necrons it would be a TMC Amy just because like big models and smaller elite armies, but their codex needs a boost for sure

I play daemons. I love playing both tau, and orks for the same reason.

I'm terrified at the start of the game xD

Orks have so many models, I panic on turn one, it makes the game super exciting.

Tau, because I know just how shooty they can be, and as a very -in your face- army, that's scary as hell.

It's much more satisfying to me to beat an ork or tau player, because it's harder for me than facing, say, marines. Even grey knight's are not as scary to me as tau.

Perfect Shot Dark Angels Predator Pilot

Shortly after I got into the hobby starting my DA/SM army, Necrons came out. I had a bit of time where I wished I had started necrons instead, but it was mostly because warriors are so much easier and faster to paint than tactical marines. I got my friend into warhammer and he started necrons. I play against him a fair amount, and I do really like the necron army. I wouldn't start one now though because that's "his" army.

I did decide a while ago that if I ever started a new army (besides my DA/SM which I really consider my ONE army), that it would be tau. I like the look and feel of them. I have played against them many times, and like the idea of how they play. Their new codex also interests me, but it will still be a long while before I am ready to start another army. That and until the most recent codex, my local area was very short tau players. Even now, we only have a small number.
