Look forward to the new pics also are they scout arms you are using
Not scout arms - Tau Pathfinder arms with Space Marine hands - the one holding the rifle is a standard 'gun-grip' hand and the other one is from the Sanguinary Guard sprue.

Sorry, no pics - dead camera battery

Haha - to be honest, I was going to use the whole Tau arm including the hands but then noticed Tau have only 3 fingers! So off they came, replaced with SM hands, which are technically probably out of scale ...

So, Kruger's been to the armoury and has a tricked-out new weapon:

And a funky new undercoat, zenithal style:

Rogue Wolves - Its rediculous how much character you pack into those guys
Skalk Bloodaxe: I know those will be awesome when finished, but right now they look like crackers.

lone dirty dog - Thanks! - hand angle is always tricky, here the trick is in the careful cut and then hiding it behind the wrist-computer thingy

It's early days on the paint scheme so holding back with any real comment, although I like the tone so far as mentioned has a slightly outlander desert roamer feel to it

The slightly rusty weathered armour is a nice touch though, also the weapon looks great how did you paint the coloured section of it ?

LDD - Thanks - desert feel was the intention, might have gone a bit dark too early on the brown, but we'll see… when I get time to get back to him!
- The weapon received the same yellow coat as the trousers, then I dry-stippled Boltgun Metal over it, trying to hit the edges to get a scratch effect

Had an 8 month old visitor and his mum for the last 2 weeks so hobby time has been sporadic… in the few ten minute periods I've managed to do a little bit of converting:

WIPs:
- The Redeemer has found himself a new hand and stabby flaming torch to light his way:

- This pile of bits is on its way to becoming my vision of a Helbrute… cos every Inquisitor needs a boss fight!

- And the final member of the Brimstone Inquisitor's retinue is about to get herself some arms and new boots… I said BOOTS people!

LDD - Thanks - of them all the female gunslinger has me most excited about modelling and the most worried about painting... the Helbrute-variant is the opposite, so far a re-modelling nightmare (in it's original form its a very fixed-position model,) but paint wise I have an exciting scheme to attempt and fluff-wise he is pretty solid too.

The Redeemer is an NPC and will be a robe-painting exercise... cream perhaps?

Thanks for looking!

I've moved the Redeemer's head a few mm to the left, after PDH's comment in another forum about the 'slightly off' pose... now his head is coming out fo the centre of his body, not his right shoulder!

Pics soon...

Meanwhile PIP Kruger - post oil washes and re-highlighting the yellow:

Due to some careless lighting had to cut two pics in half to get 'natural' colour on top and bottom...

Next up - highlighting the browns and metals

After a lengthy hiatus, completed Kruger:

Kruger runs with the Skeleton Crew, a loose band of ex-military mercenaries known for getting the hard jobs done without questions, so long as the pay is good.
Kruger is the Point Man who walks softly and knows his way around the quiet weapons, and can sniff out a trail or trap where others see naught.

The Brimstone Inquisitor has been known to employ the Skeleton Crew when in need of additional muscle outside the scope of his retinue.
Kruger is pic-captured here about to commence the final assault on the Cult of Skvorax...

LDD - Thanks!
- I jump back and forth between steps because I use washes, both oil and acylic, but here's a basic run down:
- Spray with Krylon Brown undercoat then zenithal spray with GW White
- Iyanden Darksun wash over whole model, probably twice
- Tan Brown (Vallejo) wash over all the metal and brown bits - except black over the gun's suppressor
- Flicked Tan Brown over the whole model with a toothbrush
- Drybrush Boltgun on the metals
- Probably a second brown wash on the leather
- Brown Oil wash all over, working it into the shadows created by the zenithal spray
- Worked some Black Oil into the leathers
- Iyanden Darksun and Ivory mix wash on the yellow as highlights - maybe did this three times, very light wash so as not to lose the speckle effect
- Little bit of Space Wolf Grey drybrushing, very light, to get some sharper highlights - I hate hard line highlights
- More Tan Brown washing, added some purple here and there, knocked back the drybrushing a bit
- More purple into the shadows
- Mithril Silver highlights on the metals, some purple shading added
- Used some Nuln Oil to knock back some of the Mithril where it was popping too much, and did the same with some Tan Brown where the SWG highlight was popping
- Added the Turquoise to the eye and the sight

Cheers!

Progress on the Helbrute:

And a re-do on the Redeemer:

Redeemer painting underway:

- Didn't go with the shoulder armour, it looked a bit out of place on a preacher-type
- Repositioned the head, and re-sculpted the neck of the robe
- Added a hose and a canister (I forget whose idea that was, but thanks!) to the Flaming Brazier of Fiery Death!
- The small purity seal (without paper) is to hide a hole I drilled up thru the foot and through the boot strapping...
- Black and white zenithal undercoat to get underway

Cheers!
