I'm quite stumpted. Though about Iron Angels for a while but figured its too similar to Iron Hands and wouldn't match white, red and silver armour. Once I've got a name I'll be starting a P&M blog with some hopefully not too poorly written fluff. If you've got any suggestions for names, even just cool words you think are appropriate, please post!

First thing that popped into my mind was the 'Iron Scions', not as a serious suggestion you understand - "My name is Phion, Captain of the Iron Scions."

I liked 'Sons of Manus' (EDIT: How about 'Iron Sons' or 'Sons of Iron'), that was a good suggestion. I've always liked the word 'Disciples' - 'Disciples of Iron' or 'Disciples of Manus' or maybe the 'Iron Disciples'. I'm not very good at this sort of thing I'm afraid.

The main idea for the backstory is for over 1000 years the chapter was stranded in the farthest reaches of the Halo Stars accompanying a Mechanicum expedition. A human inhabited forgeworld called Caerhellis was found, on the brink of destruction, long at war with a Xeno race and gladly accepted Imperial rule. The chapter sets up base there and a crusade is launched into the local systems which gradually picks up pace. The Imperial enclave practically destroyed in a war against the Nurgle Chaos Space Marine warband I'll be starting as my next project; the Lords of Contagion. By M41 the chapter has miraculously made its way back through the storms. Ect. The knightly orders of Caehellis is recruited from and resembles Scotland and its highlands. It is a deathworld and hives exist embedded into huge chasms which speckle the surface. I've got a story brewing, I'll try put my A-level English skills to use and attempt writing something not too cheesy or typical of fanfic.
I'm running them with the Space Wolves codex to represent how they've adapted due to isolation and huge casualties and thus operating in smaller groups, based on a hierarchy revolving around the Elders (long fangs and wolf guard) and Seers (Librarians).

I thought these were iron hands descendents? Why are you running them as space wolves where there is literally 0 chance of you escaping the fact that every unit has something to do with a wolf.

And the name Rusty Beaver becomes even more applicable

I'm running them with the SW Codex as it matches their doctrines and stuff, because the standard Codex appears too dull I guess... I might change my mind, the biggest putoff was Devastators being so naff in the vanilla codex as it stands compared to DA's and LF's.

I like the word 'Gorgon' I'll have to have a ponder...

Seriously though, for this sort of thing I generally head over to Google Translate. Set it to English->fluff friendly language (e.g. Latin for you) and write what you want it to mean. So, "Metal Kin" becomes Metalli Consanguineis...

But if you're going to use the Space Wolf codex just drop the Iron Hands theme all together.

Canon Chapter actually, they had an army list for EPIC in Fantatic Online. Don't think their lineage was covered tho.
