I like the rumor going around that Orks will get an all Gretchin Supplement. The ability to field an all-gretchin army should be fun,

A traitor legions book, and in turn a renegade chapters book, giving slightly different ways to play both (although the renegade one would probably basically just be the CSM codex)

Another IG supplement but focusing on individual regiments, such as the Mordian Iron Guard, Tallarn Desert Raiders, Praetorians, Catachan Jungle Fighters etc, so you can build lists based around a particular type of regiment & their strengths (and weaknesses!).

Yus! my thoughts exactly.

Also an Inquisition book that allows the use of storm troopers as troops or a radical inquisitor list.

Fantasy: Tomb Kings, Dark Elves, Wood Elves, Lizardmen, Daemons
40k: Daemon Hunters (GK,MT allied), Tallarn Armored Battle Group, Night Lords.
Firestorm Armada/Firestorm Planetfall: Dindrenzi

Well yes, obviously this would follow a new codex. Maybe I should have pointed that out, though this thread is about what supplements you'd want for your army and not SoB codex thread number #17,058.

Could be a supplement for the Ebon Chalice even, whom I would imagine uphold themselves to greater disciplinary standards due to their links to Alicia Dominica.

I don't think that supplements should really be restricting what you can field because, well, then it's not really supplementing, is it?

Anyway, Ebon Chalice would be an interesting one, and would make sense given their high status among the Orders. Going off what you said, buffs to Celestians would suit them well.

We should probably be happy if we get a SoB supplement for the Space Marines book.

Bah! That would be true heresy! SoB are unique and don't need to be lumped in with the rest of those bloody marines especially since, knowing the odds, black templar are probably being rolled >___>

Anyways.... onto army suppliments!
Chaos Space Marines- Not gonna lie, I would love a Thousand Sons codex just to see if they could actually make Thousand Sons (my favourite CSM faction) actually worth playing! If not that, Emperor's Children! Noise noise noooooise! Anyways.... if we go as far as dreams can go possible. I would want five supplements (if we can push that far). One for each of the gods and then one for non-aligned characters. Heck maybe even abolish the bloody champions of chaos to make it easier to represent a simply renegade chapter
Chaos Daemons- not as much here. I guess a supplement to represent more mutated and horrific monstrosities? You can't tell me all the great daemons almost always look the same as a foe? Come on! These are the eldricht horror we come from chaos we are the OUTER GODS (I know it isn't hp lovecraft but I don't remember the original inspiration) that are the representation of every emotion that mortals feel that have even the slighest of a soul. And please a special character that is a keeper of secrets!
Grey Knights- An inquisitor focused supplement. If we push it one for each of the 3 majour sects. Heck maybe make the hereticus branch be able to ally with SoB a bit better to represent the two of them being more likely to fight along side each other to purge heretic filth?
Orks- GRETCHINS
Space Marines- Black Templars. please just give them something already
IG- traitor guard? like the ones gw made and then abandoned?

And most importantly.... supplements that aren't 50 dollars? I'm sorry but, whilst I do appreciate fluff a lot, there is something repulsive about a supplement that costs just as much as the rulebook you have to buy to play this game simply to get about 2 pages or so of special rules to edit your other book. Heck I could even bear being priced like old codices and being paperback! Just.... to play this chapter or that 100 dollars?

Why the hell would we want a Sisters supplement for Space Marines? Sisters are humans, not Astartes. Changing that would be stupid.

The people in the past who convinced themselves to do unspeakable things were no less human than you or I. They made their decisions; the only thing that prevents history from repeating itself is making different ones.

I'd have to say a Thousand Sons supplement for the CSM codex, failing that a slightly more generic Tzeentch one that ties in with Daemons as well.

Then a traitor guard book would be nice to see as well. Option to take marks on some figures / less controlled powers from the psykers.

Would love a giant IG codex that included various regiment special rules like: Catachans, Mordians, Steel Legion, Tanith 1st, and other notable armies.

Given that the IG is the most diverse army/race in 40k the fact that we end up with one hundred page 'dex is kinda sad.

Rules for 13th company would be awesome!

For Orks a Blood Axes supplement that makes the Orks more organised...ish.

For Tau the Farsight Enclaves!

For IG I'd like to see a Traitor Guard/Lost and the Dammed style supplement.

I'm quite content with all these being only a couple of new wargear items/warlord traits/minor FOC changes like the Iyanden supplement. I'm not looking for an entire new codex for them (mainly because it won't happen!)

I think you're getting ahead of yourself. We need a new codex before we get supplements. Although it would be hilarious if the supplement was easier to get than the codex.
It would also be hilarious if said supplement was larger than the Codex.

I think it'd be cool if a supplement would feature some new optional units (Frateris Militia, Novice Squads, Drop Pods, maybe 1-2 new heroes) as well as rules for minor individualisation of the Orders as hinted at in the WD chart background. This could be either small perks or slightly modified Acts of Faith (or perhaps an Order-dependent bonus on rolling specific AoF). Not more powerful than the standard army, mind you, so any advantages need to be balanced by appropriate disadvantages. For Minor Orders, the player would have to chose the perks of its fraternal Major Order. Or perhaps the supplement could include a small "construction kit" similar to the 4E Marine Codex one.

Oh, and MORE WARGEAR PLEASE. or at least just give us our old stuff back you thieves

Also, +1 on IG supplements. There's a ton of flavourful regiments I'd love to see getting individual rules.
On one hand it's bad that we don't see stuff like this as PDFs on the website anymore (-> Codex Catachans), but I suppose an option to purchase is better than nothing at all.

Grinshanks wrote:Rules for 13th company would be awesome!
Although I know it might actually sell well, I'd rather not see Special Rules for Special Marines who already have their own Full-Blown Codex in addition to Standard Marines.
Really. Next thing we know somebody proposes an entire Supplement just for some individual Marine character or piece of wargear.

For my CSM I'd like to see one for each of the traitor legions, as well as a red corsairs one. Maybe put the TS/WE/DG/EC in one book, IW/NL/Corsairs into another. black legion, alpha legion and word bearers are easily represented in the current book.

For Nids... ...... A new codex would suffice tbh

Id like to see a chapter serf supplement for all mariness.

And Genestealer cult supplement for Nids.

And perhaps a more fluffy inquisition supplement. So you have a more varied retinue...

And a Necromunda gang supplement for IG. Like a conscripted unit that dont use standard gear. Molotovs and stuff that Gangers would improvise.

For my IG modeled as undead and various other evil creatures I would like an SoB supplement so I could add horns and tails to the SoB models. That would work visually with my army.

For my Space Wolves I would like a SoB army supplement so they could serve as slaves for having the temerity to attack Fenris!

For my Blood Angels army I want a SoB supplement, well mostly for the blood.

For my Demon army I want an SoB supplement so my demonettes have some females to party with and my flesh hounds will have an after battle snack.

How about one supplement that gives you options for upgrading your warboss in to a "[Klan name] Warboss", altering your FoC chart a bit?

For example, having a Deff Skullz Warboss would let you take a lootaboyz as heavy support, and give more heavy weapons to your Ork Boyz. While having a Blood Axez Warboss would let you take a limited number of Kommandoz (my idea was 3) as scoring troops, and lets you ally Guard allies with less fuss.

For the armies I either play or I'm starting to collect:

- Orks. I think that codex supplements offer a unique opportunity to explore relatively obscure bits of 40k lore, putting potentially cool but underdeveloped ideas in the spotlight. Iyanden wasn't the most well-known or popular Eldar Craftworld after all, just like Tau fans pretty much ignored the Farsight Enclave.

Thus, I'm hoping it's the criminally ignored Snakebites who get the codex supplement. It would make for a weird, unique style of ork army where technology is sidelined in favor of large mobs of boyz, gretchin, monstrous creatures (in the case we get one) and psychic powers.

- Dark Angels: Deathwing, probably. With the 6th ed DA codex the First Company has lost some oomph. Perhaps with some extra wargear and rules from a supplement they'll be able to recover it.

- Imperial Guard: The logical thing for GW to do would be to rehash their old Codex: Catachan. The awesome thing, of course, would be releasing a Traitor Guard supplement that allowed guardsmen to take Chaos marks and icons, and gave them a host of new and bizarre psychic powers.
