Hmm, is it by the way also possible for you guys to laser cut different materials, so instead of your typical MDF board, to go for (bio)plastics or even metals and what not?

New Paranoia Pagoda Blocks Now up for purchase!

Part one of the New Paranoia buildings contains all the parts that make up the pagoda tower system. Start with a base or two, add as many pagoda blocks as you like for height, and connect them all together with skywalks and ladders. Included in the downloadable instructions are printable templates for the windows to cut out and stick on, which will save positively loads of time if you don't particularly fancy hand painting about a dozen or so of them.

Building looks to me like open door, enter elevator stop at apartment floor, no lobby, and seems set good for stable climates.

Arch is a nice touch!

Started painting tank. Hereafter to be known as the Conqueror III heavy Tank. Still needs loads of detail painting and clean-up.

It blows my mind what an amazing effect you can get with the laser cut MDF. Great stuff!

wow

Would never say that was mdf if you didnt know. great stuff.

Any rough idea of cost?

And do you have any uk distributors yet? cos I really want to order some of your stuff but that postage is a killer, and kinda negates any savings made by buying an mdf equivalent of someone else's kit...

Well, we've finally cleared the rather terrible backlog of orders after our disastrous Christmas computer failure, and we nearly have additional production capacity sorted.

So, In a couple of months we will be looking for some overseas distributors. Please. Do not suggest again that we should licence production. It does not allow enough profit for anyone involved. The plan will be to ship stock surface to significantly reduce freight.

Price on the Conqueror will be about $58AU.

Also, These will be available in a week or so:

8x 25mm deep 304mm (12") trusses. (under $20AU)

and Tyres.

approx. 22mm x 6.5. two piles o' tyres and 22 individuals. About the same price as the trusses.

Oh I don't design these to be cheap alternatives. I design them to be cool ones.

I've been meaning to ask, what kind of prep work and tools are you using to paint your kits? The paintjobs look amazing.

I undercoat everthing with a black spraycan (a couple of times to fill the end-grain of the MDF) and the proceed with with pretty standard stuff, like airbrush , washes, highlighting etc.

the washes don't get soaked into the mdf? And the black undercoat doesn't eliminate the etched details?

nope. I've never had a problem with either of those things. a proper undercoat should seal the model against unwanted soakage.

I like those tyres - just the thing for urban barricades and field workshops. Presuming they sell well, consider expanding the range to offer a variety of tyre sizes.

recently got my first CNC Workshop order - a couple of Steel Wyrms - and they are AMAZING. I love the build quality and ease of construction, definitely getting a couple of Conquerer IIIs in the future

The Wyrms need some buddies though, do more biomech monstrosities!
