It's not really a design feature, but I have seen them modified as such.

So, In a couple of months we will be looking for some overseas distributors. Please. Do not suggest again that we should licence production. It does not allow enough profit for anyone involved. The plan will be to ship stock surface to significantly reduce freight.

Sounds cool. My gaming budget is a little tight right now, but I'll have to look at some of these once there's a US source.

(I assume by 'ship stock surface' you're basically looking at loading up a full/partial shipping container with product and putting it on a boat to a distributor?)

Working on someting you'll either love or hate. Hopefully to be revealed by November.

Well, after going through my hard drive and searching out mah thangs, It would appear I have approx 23 assorted projects/models that are either pretty much finished or just require a smallish amount of work to get them released. And by 'smallish', I mean anything from a few tweaks to several days of mucking about.

Four items have been moved to the short pile and should be released in the next week or two. the rest need to be prioritized/sorted into some sort of sensible schedule.

Anyhoo, Done some more work on the Deff Moons (pretty much done. need to be test cut)

...and an 'arf trak.

Grenade Launcher is a cool idea.

Soo.... Would there be any interest in a simplified, cheap and cheerful version? Vis:

i.e.; minimal engraving, reduced detail, no card parts.

Not doable with the deff moonz, so don't ask.

Could work as it gives people the option of detailing themselves adding some original options.

I presume these are the size of 12 passenger Ork transports?
Any chance of one that could handle 20 Orks?

And I'd buy either. I guess it depends on how much detail is missing and how much cheaper the cheap and cheerful version is. Many an Ork player would have left over bits they could bung on.
Looking at that picture, I know I'd miss the seating in the tray, the springs and the door. I simply don't have the time these days to attempt to make my own bits for that.

Looking at at the pics I would leave the exhaust off completely as the basic one looks pretty bad in comparison, so leave it from the kit IMHO.

What would the price differential between the two be?

Man, I wish there was a real Black Library where I could get a Black Library Card and take out Black Library Books without having to buy them. Of course, late fees would be your soul. But it would be worth it. - InquisitorMack

I have no idea ATM of the price for the full detail version yet, we've not even done a test yet.

BUT. Assuming full version works out to $35ish, the simplified version could be as low as $20. and less postage.

the door would engraved and some detail could be added back in depending on cut time. Can't do the springs 'cos they are card.

Thankfully, my FLGS carries your stuff so postage isn't a worry for me $20 for a not-a-trukk would be pretty fantastic!

i really like the trukk and the buggys ... keep hoping for a US source for them to cut down on shipping some .. but may break down and order once the trukk is up and listed.

Well just placed an a order for the three Ork Buggies variants and to be honest the postage was not that bad, I have paid more for smaller less heavy items from the US.

OK Customs will probably kick me in the balls for throwing my package across the room but I get that from the US as well, so personally I thought the pricing was pretty good and once you release the the trucks and moons I will be back for more

For the low-detail version, would it be possible to remove the ragged panel edges? That would allow for it to be built as a clean, human style truck, or serve as a base for orkifying.

Woot. or should that be toot? The Tramp Steamer is now available for purchase. Our biggest and most involved kit yet. A 16th century design made with 19th century technology with just a touch of anachronism, I'm sure you folks will have as much fun building as I did designing her.

He, and everyone, knows it's not technically 'shiny'

Apparently you just never saw Firefly?

@CNC
I asked you, a couple of pages ago, what happened to all those variants and prototypes of vehicles that never got released?
