Good work adding the armour to the turret.

The autogun looks good, but the stand looks a bit weedy for it. I can imagine it bouncing about like a bobble-head when it fires. Bulk that up, or add extra support bars, maybe lower it a little and it's good to go.

That's pretty cool, but I'm with DrH. Possibly, if it were lower to the hull? BTW I have a spare magnetised predator turret if you have any more of these shenanigans planned!

Managed to get some time to look at the Auto unit.... Lowered it and then added a second support strut and another cable to make it look a bit more secure.....

Going to keep the damage on this vehicle to a minimum...... more scratches and dust instead of heavy damage..... so going to get stuck into that tomorrow....

Haha... cheers mate.... and help yourself..... its not stealing if the idea is given freely! I am sure you know, but it is based off of a heavy bolter unit with the chain fed ammo...... the barrels are made from the middle part of cotton buds and the wiring i got out of an old plug.....

I managed to get some work done on the "Stubby" Turret also tonight.... no real damage but just gome wear and tear! Thisis the look i will be going for on the Estoc!

Oh..... and i added a pic of the turret ontop of my Rhino.... With the short barrel and the Spaced armour of the turret i thought it reminded me of an old German Panzer Mk III.......

Great work, the turret looks the nuts on the rhino - that's a winner in my book. The Autogun really fits well with the ESTOC

Your general crustiness, to me, looks like a really nice and unusual interpretation of nurgle, btw - less pus, more entropy.

Reading my mind there mate.... REALLY getting into the Death Guard at the momment...... so after i am done with the ESTOC i am going to have a look at a Heresy Era Death Guard Vehicle.... literally weeks/months after the Drop Site Massacre....... so before the fleshy and puss'y phase.... but plenty of rust and crustiness!

I should also give a mention to Mecha.... who kindly gifted me the hulls of 2 Mk1 Rhinos!! Great times! Was in touch through my DAKKA Swap Shop Ad...... and woudl most definetly recommend him if you have any dealing or transactions...... top notch!

Well... I have had a go at a DG Rhino....... a much deeper green that i would have normally chosen.... but i think its working out alright...... added some crusty damage and used some of my home made rust...

love to hear your thoughts..... all in all it was about 1 hour of work..... so kinda got through it quickly but think it is pretty effective.......

As i was saying... i am thinking of a Death Guard... post Istvaan V...... before Grandfather Nurgle has fully wrapped his bloated & pestilant fingers around the legion.....

Hi All......

Just a real quick message...... i was grabbing my work gear this morning and happened to look over to the DG Rhino on my desk........ there appears to be a white dust/crystal build up growing accross the hull of the tank....... mostly over the damaged areas....... could it be that Grand Father Nurgle was disspleased at my work and decided to add some more of his own crustiness and degredation to my model?!?!

I am thinking perhaps along the way a chemical reaction has occured...... I will investigate when i get home and get a couple of pics up for you to have a look at!

It sounds like you've recrystallised the salt you used. It could also be the caffeine, but is unlikely as there is very little even in the strongest coffee.

I have to say the Forgeworld stuff is great..... Thhe daeth guard stuff looks amazing.

If you get terminators in the future though, watch out for the cataphractii and the tartaros types.
They don't have cavities for the heads like the GW ones, just slots for half helms... Maybe the deathshroud models are different.
I got Justaerin and they allow full head swaps.
Or you could do a crusty Imperial Knight after the mark 3's!!!

Just a sneak peek at my WIP for Camkierhi accomodation competition......

The theme is........

A brutal planet with acid rain and ash driven winds..... a garrison unit of troopers have been left to watch over the site of a ballte in the earliest years of the planets reabsorbtion bacn into the Emperors fold......

With no supplier and very limited resourses... the husk of an ancient warmachine forms the basis if their shelter..... scavanged metal sheets provide some level of shelter..... but stil it is a foreboding and un friendly environment.... the ash and acid has reduced the armour to rust and the ground to a dull grey.....

The high command deem the requirements of their troopers bellow the need for ammunition.... after all they are just numbers on a rollcall....

Am about 90% done i think..... really want to keep it basic and quite extereme looking....... also wanted to make the look of the old battle debris look diferent from the scavanged panels of the roof......

Any C&C would be great..... still got a few days to make any llast minute adjustments....

Looking good, The roof gives is a nice touch, though... I saw you were having issues with camo cloak over on the competition page... What did you try using. I suggest trying mesh from a bag of oranges or lemons like you get in tesco's (other supermarkests and food providers are available!!) Or some light gaze bandage dipped in pva, the mesh on the bag will allow you to add foliage ets through the gaps

It's looking good.

The one bit I see needs some work is the roof plate with the holes in it.
The holes themselves are nice and rusty and that makes sense (broken surface = rust), but the rest of that plate still looks a little too clean. If it's been there long enough for the holes to get rusty, then the edges (especially the lowest point) would also have a little rust on them, and with all the acid rain, there would be rust streaks from the rusty patches towards the lowest edge.

The rest is perfect though.
