New SM model... things. I quite like them, in a "not as incomprehesible as a Stormtalon" way, but they're not beautiful by any stretch of the imagination.

Appear we have confirmation from Endobai at Warsser:

Photoshop. There is no such model and all Centurions are based on the same chassis. No huge Scorpius Whirlwind launchers...

Don't panic. Someone is trolling DakkaDakka.

Praise the Emperor, looks like you're right. Although it speaks volumes that at least for a moment I wouldn't have put it past GW to create something like that...

I'm hardly a WK, but wow. That model is CLEARLY a photoshop fake. The centurions look like crap, but they look overdone by marine standards. Yet they still fit "marine standards". This...thing doesn't fit the marine aesthetic at all. There's no way.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

I don't understand how the Centurians are supposed to swing those drills. With how big they are and where they're mounted, there's no way to make that happen. Add in how limited their movement range is with the giant blocky armor, and I think they'll be limited to Rock 'em Sock 'em Robot punches.

Eldar shenanigans are the best shenanigans!

Indeed, guess we both didn't read to closely. Least I added a nice picture.

Its not much different for a dreadnought.

I definitely like the Rhino variant AA tank, so will pick that up.

The Centurions look like a child-like parody of GW SM design... Chunky legs, lots of iconography, oversized weapons, tiny head. (Though strangely non-shouty) - Unfortunately the rules will probably be awesome.

If they are near Contemptor size, then I may just use those to represent Centurions on the field.

I love the up-armored AA Rhino, and I will be buying one.

The Centurions I'm not sold on. I really feel that if they are going to be modeled that size and with those proportions, they should be braced to the ground in the back, arms forward firing an ungodly amount of ammo. I'm also wondering if I can sub in a regular Marine helmet. While the regular marine helmet also frowns, the Centurion helmet looks like someone just knocked his ice cream out of his hand.

One of them filthy casuals...

That might be wishful thinking. The Contemptor stands over the standard dreadnought and these guys are the supposed inbetween for TDA and the normal dreadnought.

So the blurry picture of a silly-looking robot that had never even been mentioned before today turned out to be a hoax? Surely not!

It's funny, though, how among all the outcry over the Centurions nobody's had time to consider fact that the new Sternguard sound like a pretty good kit with a lot of modelling potential.

Driven away from WH40K by rules bloat and the expense of keeping up, now interested in smaller model count games and anything with nifty mechanics.

Ok really...... we have several post that have established this is fake across multiple 40k related forums. No need to keep pointing out how terrible it is.

Ctan_overlord, it's fake. Read the previous posts.

Well, they DO have an helmeted version, but I still preferred something with even more armor on it, less Tactical helm style. I like everything so far, eagerly awaiting new pics

So if centurions have good rules how may units are they making obsolete?

3 types of dread,2 types of termis, dev squads, predator tanks and anything else I have missed?

Your last point is especially laughable and comical, because not only the 7th ed Valkyrie shown dumber things (like being able to throw the troopers without parachutes out of its hatches, no harm done) - Irbis

Vehicles suck now right? So how do we get around it....we take everything we love about our vehicles and slap them on an oversized marine

I just realised that it's still going to be annoying/expensive as gak to create a 10-man Crusader Squad with CCWs and special weapons if you're not willing to chip away at blood drops or wolf heads. Not to mention that there's nothing about merging the BT upgrade kit into a "proper" kit, so if you want BT iconography and tabards you'll still be paying that much more than the other variant Chapters. Meh.

Those centurion models are the worst marines I've ever seen. They make captain cortez look statuesque. They make dreadknights look sensible. Ill proportioned, a mess of detail, poor armor, just all around some of the worst GW models that exist imo.

I agree with this. They're right up there with the legendary Chaos Trolls, all of Trish Morrison's pathetic animal sculpts, Gary Morley's transsexual Elves, that weird Beastman boar thing with the bulging eye, the new melee Obliterators, and Captain Cortez. They're absolutely pathetic.

Hopefully they don't get rid of the upgrade sprues. Of course I have enough of them that every model in my BT has BT weapons and at least two other BT bits.
