Ok I had a different outcome to what I expected 4 my b'day
For some reason all my grandparents got together and each bought me a dragon from the following high elves, dark elves, zombie dragon
So now I got 3 dragons for my eldar and I can't sell them because they are coming to visit in 2 months and spent a lot of money which I respect and expect them built
What do I so
Thanks

maybe combine them all 3 into one model, so its kinda a three headed dragon, and then count it as a wraithknight? might be a big stretch tho....

I dont really see a way to make eldar stuff out of dragons

I got this.. I ama ork eldar player. So what you need to represent is the 12" movement, the T8 and W6. Best way to do this if you have the skills, is to use one dragon as the base probably the high elf. Use the zombie dragons and bones to form a exoskeleton. Use green stuff to create armor plates, use the dark eldar dragon to for most of the tail (this will be an abnormally large dragon 2 dragons is the body 1 dragon is the details/extras) Use all the wings, and get a spare cannon. Its a wraith knight! that or just use as is.. with some high tech plating and green stuff work.

OR accept that you were given gifts of great looking models and do them justice with a paint brush and have them as some nice display pieces that show your Grand parents have a lot of love for you and shelled out on some expensive models. I know they are not perhaps what you wanted, but they are still great looking models and you got them for free.....

And then subtly hint to maybe your parents to next time help get the hint across that not all models are created equal so next time you get some Eldar for your actual gaming army?

See My Crazy Army plan here: http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/0/521618.page#5517409

Yeah I might try the conversion but if when I get up to it the parts bits get all fiddle I will just use them as display models because they are very nice models
Thanks for the idea though I will definitely give it a go but I won't glue in case it gets too difficult

Could you not, using plasticard create a ship deck to which you mount it onto the back of one of the dragons and build a wave serpent? A very sick and awesome looking transport that doesnt involve the mutilation of the lovely model, but simply adds the functionality you would like?

In terms of feeling like you are not showing respect by building the models as is; does it not show that you are getting more out of your present in the fact that you are putting in the time and effort to achieve something greater than what was originally given? I get a lot of art supplies for my B'days and Xmas's and for certain my family always seem all the more pleased when I find an inventive/different way to combine them.

Favourite Game: When your Warboss on bike wrecks 3 vehicles simply by HoW - especially when his bike is a custom monowheel.

Use them as jet bikes, stick a guy on top. Some sick looking jet bikes heh.

But really i would just make the normal models and do some fancy stuff with the bases, imo I do actually think they would make great mounts for any HQ. More of display pieces though, everyone likes nice things to look at.

You could make some kind of Exodite Autarch 'count as' but I think it would be better as a show piece due to the size.

Dragons don't fit into 40k that well. (Yes i'm looking at you, heldrake)
So I'd probably just assemble and paint them as what they are. I can't think of a good way to add a dragon into the eldar aestetic. Everything is either to small or just too different to be represented with a fantasy dragon.
(But this might be my inexperience with the whole eldar range.)

If you still thinking about it an idea might be to leave the wings off and use it as some form of living tank. Mount a gun on top, armor it up and add eldar gemstones. It's still a longshot but maybe it could work - but it would be a lot of conversion work.

That would be my suggestion as well.

Exodites here as well. Depending on the size they could represent fire prisms if you can up-tech the rider platform with the secondary weapons, or use them as funky wraithlords/knights.

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

I'd suggest just accepting them as a great gift, and painting them to the best of your abilities they are awesome models

Again, exodites seem to me the way to go. Mount an eldar where the elf would have ridden, you'd have an awesome unit of exodite dragon riders. Count them as anything from autarchs to tanks to fliers, I doubt anyone would object as they'll look great.

Why must I always choose beween certain death and probable death.

Yeah I was going to uses exodius but I couldn't stand having to take a dragon off the table because a exodius died so the high elve is eldrad s new pet doggy to ride upon while I will keep the parts of him. While I kept and assembled/painted the other "evil" dragons as they would not fit in
Thanks for the suggestions I really appreciate it and how would you paint the HE dragon as I know how some people at our club whom play the other armies who can help
Thanks

D-Sycthes are Flamer type distortion weaponry and Terrify is a very dragonlike abillity to have. Run your dragons as Hemlock wraithfighters by mounting them to flying stands?
