Continuing working on my DV chaos stuff, more or less sorted the Tamiya clear red now, any area bigger than a postage stamp = mask and airbrush, smaller than that and three thin coats with a brush works well enough (thankfully).

Cultists in progress, had tried pre-shading with the airbrush and glazes, gave up on that when it didn't work too well and back to normal painting as yet.

running amok, against the reality of defeat

My wife is painting some armored walkers for Konfliked '47.

I am painting a very cool Franken Stien conversion I bought on EBAY for $10usd.
Remember the back patches everybody was wearing on jean jackets in the '80's? I'm gonna have this Frank with a AC/DC back patch.

AC/DC. Get it?

Played my third or so solo game of Execution Force last night. I had been playing it incorrectly (drawing room tiles incorrectly and applying damage wrong---both because I was making assumptions instead of reading RAW).

Last night's game, I managed to win without losing any of the assassins in the process. That counts as two 'achievements'.

Has anyone in this thread had experience with Mantic/Deadzone models? Looking at picking up a set of Enforcers, but would like some community feedback first. Been exploring some non-GW options, enjoying Maelstroms Edge currently. Mantic is cheaper than GW, but is there a significant drop off in quality?

Swished a jar of acetone that has Ahriman quietly forgoing his paint on.

Discovered the lid wasn't on right, then discovered how fast acetone evaporates. Also discovered cats don't like the smell, will file that one for the future.

Also assembled 10 Chaos Space Marines, discovering as I did so that I have no fething idea how to equip them.. close combat load out it is then. Will prime them tomorrow, and continue to finish the cultists etc from DV.

The older restic enforcers can be a royal pain to pose (especially the arm/gun assembly) but look pretty good once built. The newer plastics are easier to build but a little softer in detail. Still look ok once built and painted though. The pic below is some raw resin and newer plastic enforcer parts. The other one is some I did mostly with a silver primer spray and black wash (so the detail is sharp enough to hold a wash well).

Yeah, the old restic multipart enforcers are a pain in the rear.

The hard plastic Enforcer sprues are pretty neat though. - I will say though I can never quite decide if I should cut off the front of their neck or not.

The hard plastic Enforcer Peacekeepers are pretty darn great though, I'm a big fan of them.

The guy on the right in this pic is a plastic Enforcer, with resin shotgun and shield. The guy on the left is the restic Enforcer special character for Dreadball

Working on the BA sternguard more. Gold is highlighted and done, and got the base coat of silver on. Black base coat, some washes, and highlighting left. So many red models...

Contemplating going to pick up a stud finder and level so I can put up the metal organizer shelf for the paint pots. It will be nice to have more of my table open to hold WIPs. The tablet and the unfinished Imperial Knight take up a lot of room

Trying to recruit each of my players to build two PDF buildings each, for a Mordheim campaign - in theory, this will give us two dozen models.

My actual expectation is that we will have a dozen models, mostly built by three players.
