Dear Dakka,

After weeks of considering army selection,
Months of model collection,
Entire days deliberating paint scheme,

I'm finally primed and ready to paint!

Please. Someone scold me not to rush it.

Hi there!
I'm looking at Argent Shroud with detail variation.

It's so tough to narrow it down - I wish I could paint them in variety!

Thanks for the welcome and for the encouragement! I'm still green, but I did hear that it's one of the more challenging armies to collect.
Necrons I've heard are fairly easy for a newcomer, so I decided to balance the challenges!

Another thing that I'm hearing is a challenge is white, like you say!
A great lot of people are showing me how white primer ends up a bit chalky or thick, which is disastrous on the tiny details of a SoB.
The sister you have in your gallery looks fantastic!

Welcome to Dakkadakka. Two thumbs up for your army choices, two of my personal favorites!
You have allready discovered the galleries, but I'd also advise you to take a peek at the blogs and the showcase thread in the painting and modelling section. Some great inspiration there from great painters and converters. ^^

I will do exactly that! I'm sure my first shaky painting attempt will be less of a disaster if I know what to aim for.

Speaking of, I'm loving the Necron colors in your gallery. The dark green really integrates with that dark metal, and they just look so much better than the box classic scheme!

Welcome to Dakka, enjoy painting up your armies and once you are finished you can show them off in the Painting and Modeling Showcase forum.

A Heretic may see the truth and seek redemption. He may be forgiven his past and will be absolved in death. A Traitor can never be forgiven. A Traitor will never find peace in this world or the next. There is nothing as wretched or as hated in all the world as a Traitor. - Cardinal Khrysdam, Instructum Absolutio
