@Keven - it was actually because we used up almost every planned stretch goal last time, and were worried that we might have more success this time - and we'd need ot save those levels, set the prices lower but don't give too much away too fast or eventually you can;t give anything else away... and nobody wants to see the purple levels stop coming
________

In short, no, that is not the end of the base package freebies. I am on the phone right now with a Reaper staffer and they will be adding optional buyins on the way up in addition to the core level. Each of those options will be handled like a mini KS campaign within the bigger campaign, with their own stretch goals. He wont tell me how many they have planned, but more than two is what I have been told.

So, basically in order to help shorten the distance between update goals (so people dont start moaning about a $250k stretch goal), they put in the Expansion. The stretch goals for the expansions can be put in between the stretch goals for the freebies on the base package and the buyin options so that it isnt so far between updates.

Cheers for that, its crazy to think its already got to this and it's not even been going for 24hours!

At this stage i'd be happy with the core pledge, Hill Giants and Kraken so lets see what lies ahead.

Heck, it hasnt even been 12 hours...

Would be nice to see $1.7 million or so in the first 24 hours. That is the current first day record held by the elevation iThing dock.

Those hill giants do look good, are there any scale shots out there? Wondering just how big they are.

Plenty, to be sure. Reaper's site is actually pretty good for getting an idea on sizes.

Under most figures you can find their parts, and those have a little ruler thing next to them so you can see the size. Once you have the name, you can pretty quickly Google a picture or two if you want to see them compared next to other figures, though entirely new figures cant be tracked down in that way.

Cheers Sean, theres a hell of alot of figures on their site to wade through.

Yep, somewhere around 4,000 or so SKUs which are still produced. If you have a question though, feel free to ask, and I am sure you will get an answer pretty quickly. There are a lot of people who are fairly familiar with Reapers catalog, and I am sure we will see "support" pages pop up in the near future with links to the metal versions of miniatures. Today things have been moving a bit too fast for serious effort to be made on that front as as soon as it is posted, it is missing a level of goals.

Here's a pic of Tre's giant next to one of his reaper black orcs (from this thread http://www.lead-adventure.de/index.php?topic=46383.0):

I wonder if they're going to just use basic slotta tabs. Might be able to stick any old figure on there. Maybe we'll see more bases available later on as well.

Just got up, so I expect this may have already been answered overnight. - Those are the original metal models shown. The Bones versions will have integrated plastic bases.

So I totally, 100% missed out on the last bones KS, and haven't bought anything from Reaper in years (except for paint). These bones minis, what are they made of? I know it says plastic... but do they say plastic and mean that flexible rubbery white stuff? I'm assuming a lot of you have the minis from the last one, do you like the material?

Also, since I didn't see the last one... The $100 pledge, is that everything in the first really long blue section, that is, everything before the options? If so, already looking pretty stellar.

Thanks, I may have to throw down on this one

The plastic is PVC. The nature of the plastic depends on the mold, in order to allow for some undercuts, most are more flexible than HIPS, but some are as rigid or more so (see the clockwork dragon).

I've got 2 real reasons for buying in:
1. The value per model. It's not that I'll ever use 90% of what is included. But the fact that models last round came in under $.50ea means that when my son who is 6 asks to paint with me, I have no shortage of cheap models that I don't NEED for him to practice on. That bonding time is worth every penny and more.
2. My own practice. These bundles have all manner of models in them, and for lots of them I see potential to try out new techniques that I'd rather not try on more expensive GW models right off the bat.

Some of the models I want, some I'll pay extra for, but those 2 reasons are worth the $100 easily.

I think that is actually my favorite figure in the past 10 years or so. Very simple but so very versatile. I have converted all of them that I got in the KS, and have since ordered 4 more.

Dag, that $100 was way too easy to spend. I'll have to dig through the options later, this is exciting right

We don't pick our addons until the pledge manager comes out correct? I've already got things to add to mine.

No, but we do (preferably) add the cash for them already, now.

You pledge to cover your options, and then select them later.

I tossed $300 at it earlier today, but I dont think I have $300 in options quite yet.

If you wanted to get just two or three of the $10 options, you would back at the $1 level and then add $20 or $30 to your pledge on the next screen. Later on, you can increase your pledge (or decrease if need be). However, you do want to have your pledge in now as that is what moves it forward.

I see. So I can add like $50 to my current 100 and that increases the whole thing, and gives me that credit towards options at the end?

Can that overage be lowered should I decide at the end I don't want(for example) $50 worth of add ons?

And lastly, the add on amount won't be charged until the last day of the KS correct?

Please forgive me as this is my whopping second KS I've backed, and I didn't have any add on items for the SWM table I ordered.
Just want all my bases covered(no one likes blank bases )

Where are the Mouselings ? My wife loves them and they'd be the only real reason for me to back. I have a few of the models from the first one, all larger, and I like them mostly, but don't need a ton of models that aren't like, fantastic as I'm not an RPGer.

They were the first add on, for just $10!
