Solo and Co-op play is in, next stretch goal is for intact terrain sprues.
If you have any interest in this at all, definitely recommend getting in on it before the weekend is over, pledges made after that point will not qualify for the 5 free tiger corps minis.
If you're on the fence throwing $1 at it now and then deciding to drop or keep on the final day is the best approach.

Aye - I originally had the $90 early bird - but quickly became apparent that it wasn't enough to cover every possible scenario.
So jumped into the EB that freed up from the NYCC pledge level.
I would pledge more - but I have a monthly savings target each month for the next two years so as to have a deposit to buy a house to store all this crap in

Nice! I would like to do something like that too, but there is too much in flux on my end So I have to rely on sheer willpower to stop me from overspending, and unfortunately, the kickstarter model has a strong advantage against my standard reasoning =/

Depending on how it is built, it could be a "survivors" deck as well. I view the two decks as "use whatever the f you want" faction decks. The Human, in my mind, could be transitioned to a canonical deck in some fashion, but we'll have to see how much cheese is involved with them.

Much the same here, with a IA EB and suggested add ons but the new AI deck is probably a must and I know I shouldn't but Burning Cattle is too MA to miss.
Only choice now is whether to plump for the Core Expansion one for the nice playing mat
Holding just a bit in reserve in case the Bugs make it to the party.

I think the $300 levels kill them. I like what they are selling and have one of the limited $300 pledges that gives me $325 in credit. Right now, buying everything I want, will eat up about $200 of that. And there is nothing on the way I am super eager to dump the rest into. End result? Unless something really catches my eye I drop to a $150 pledge and spend a little more than that but nothing near the $300 I am pledged for now. I think a LOT of folks are having similar thoughts and adjusting pledges downwards at this point.

That's where I am... at least besides having the car insurance bill decide to be due right before this. I don't know why they dragged the bugs out for so long. Those should have hit a lot sooner I think. Or they should have had more options for us to spend our full 300 on from an earlier point.
Then again, I'm not Mantic and I would imagine they've got contingencies in place for when things start dipping a bit too much like this.
I guess a worst case scenario (for me at least) would be to jump back up once the pledge manager hits.

Just sent them this (after my earlier request was brushed off with "There will be more scenery to come, including some awesome resin bits from Antenociti's Workshop. See where we get to. You might as well keep the $300 level for now, and if it doesn't work out for you you can always downgrade on the last day :-).")
me on KS wrote:
Hi,
I'm still looking for a reason to stay in at $300 as I'm primarily interested in scenery. As I can't use the pledge credit for the Antenociti stuff, and the combo of damaged and undamaged red brick buildings are not quite enough to keep me in for $300 worth.
Please (re?)consider adding in the DeadZone terrain sprues as an add-on option for the sceneryheads. Hopefully it might help to stem the loss of $300 backers dropping out at this point.
best of luck,
They also need to confirm things like what the Urban accessories ( not the AW SUB-urban accessories) are, the material, and if pledge credit can be used for them - along with confirming what the undamaged brick buildings are going to be...
At this point (as a non-fan of MA itself who is primarily here for scenery to put on my tablescapes boards) I'm much more likely to drop to $1 then stay in for $300. If they add in the DZ scenery, I'll have use for the $300 so will stay in.

Urban Accessory sprue is hard plastic and you can use pledge credit on it.
Intact buildings will have 6 tiles and connector pieces on each sprue.
BotB probably isn't the pledge for you in all honesty if you want the antenociti stuff.
I'd recommend Invaders arrive, 2 deluxe scenery packs (one ruined, one intact), maybe use the spare $25 credit on the 3 KS exclusives (or more terrain/ accessory sprues) and then just add to your pledge for the Antenociti stuff/ other stuff.
There's $50 for the two suburban sets, $15 for crashed saucer and the car wrecks still to come.
BotB might be worth keeping if you're also wanting a bunch of the mats and even more of the terrain sprues.
Edit: Damn, just lost 2 stretch goals in one day. /:

Oh another thing I'll point out. The suburban nightmare pledge level is two $25 terrain sets and two accessory sprues for $50. And they've already confirmed that you can add on pledge levels. I'm not sure buying multiple suburban nightmare pledges would, in fact, be strictly better than chewing up BotB, but it might be something to consider.

Right then Invaders, it’s the Monday before the Sunday to end them all – ok, not end them all, but the Sunday that is the last day of the campaign – and it’s time to get serious.
You want Bugs?
You want Martians?
You want Novas Vira?
It all starts here with the $500,000 goal – a milestone, an amazing achievement with a game that had $50,000 for its Starting Goal.
This may be the fifth game we’ve brought to Kickstarter, but by all means it’s ranked as one of the most exciting journeys we’ve been on – and we hope you’ve enjoyed the ride too, no matter what’s happened on the day-by-day. We’ve tried a lot of different things with this one, but there’s one thing we always keep coming back too.
The Mantic Way.
That’s lots of quality stuff at an affordable price.
It’s what we’re renowned for – so let’s do it, let’s give you a Mantic Goal for a major milestone!
Here.
We.
Go!
$500,000 – FREE Celebratory Miniatures!
If we hit this goal, we will tool an alternate version of the limited-run Supreme Regent figure, and give away one to every backer with a pledge of The Will of Man ($100 and Early Birds) or up. We will also make this figure available to buy as a Core Add-on for $8.
This figure also unlocks a number of scenarios, including Honour Guard, a cool scenario played with Martian Marines who must battle through a hostile enemy to rescue the Supreme Regent from the clutches of the Novas Vira.
BUT!
That’s not all. We’ll also tool an alternate version of the limited-run diorama to create a Martian Army Standard Bearer – an inspirational figure bearing the Banner of Mars, a flag steeped in history. When the last humans relinquish their weapons, chained into oppression, the banner will leave our shores and be taken back into space, ready to be unfurled with the Martians make their next Invasion.
The Banner Bearer offers a Capture the Flag type scenario for the game and when we hit this goal, we’ll make him available for $8 as a Core Add-on – and throw him in FREE into pledges of Alien Abduction and BLOODSHED ON THE BATTLEFIELD and up.
Art for diorama
We moved the standard versions of these figures as freebies earlier in the campaign in response to the momentum we were going at (and they are still available too) but we always intended on marking $500K with something really cool - we hope this double-barrelled goal full of free stuff gives you that, not least because the creepy crawly is next - and we know you want that bad boy.
We’re opening the floodgates folks - those silhouettes are all getting knocked over next.
Thank you for helping us get this far and remember, our recommended pledges are there to help out if you're unsure how to spend your credit - in a nutshell:
- the $150 is the enhanced Board Game experience, with extra troops types, vehicles and an upgraded mat.
- the $300's (that's Alien Abduction and BLOODSHED ON THE BATTLEFIELD) are your Wargames Pledges, where you're going to line up and smash the armies you get to pieces - it comes with extra troops and vehicles for building two balanced armies, and it even includes all of the mats and scenery you could need AND the enhanced board game experience above.
There are currently a number of BLOODSHED ON THE BATTLEFIELD pledge levels open, and yes, you can absolutely pledge on them if you want one.
With 6 days to go, let’s see where we end up!

Thanks for the info on the UA. Now if they could finalise what's in it...
I need pics of the intact buildings. What's shown is rather vague.
I don't care all that much about the AW stuff. It'd be nice, and Stewart implied that it would be available for the $300, but then it turned out to not be an option. So in this instance, I'd like some more options to "spend" my credit on. DZ stuff would be ideal. I find the AW KS stuff a bit close to what I'd expect to pay at retail prices a lot of the time, so I wouldn't pay extra realmoneys for it as part of a KS.
Actually... looking at your recommendation, it would almost be better for people to go in for 2x Invaders over the BotB sets, in terms of raw loot, since you'd get (almost all) the bonus stretch goal items twice, rather than once.
Paper mats over game boards, then on-selling the "proper" board as a separate add-on is pretty cheap-arse. Though it seems to be the way some games are going (Dust did this as well for 2nd edition - it'll be interesting to see what/if GF9 makes any changes to that. Regardless, I'm expecting my SW Tablescapes and potential G&G boards to work out better than paying for mouse-pad-gaming-mats. Automatically Appended Next Post: GrimDork wrote:Oh another thing I'll point out. The suburban nightmare pledge level is two $25 terrain sets and two accessory sprues for $50. Thanks for the heads-up. Something to consider, anyway - though $300 + post will be my cap for this, so I'll have to think about it. Really though, I've stayed in based mostly on the promise of MOAR scenery options. Regardless, if I drop down to $1, it'll be in the last day-ish, so my drop should just be lost amongst the final surge, rather than being part of a negative day like today. Hm... If I were a panicky guy, I'd be looking at how the undamaged buildings have been un-unlocked, but it's pretty clear that unless this campaign goes into free-fall, they'll be back in the last-days surge. If there is one? I guess they already got the early birds, and many of the last-days surge people would have come onboard at $300 like I did... I guess there's always a surge, but I could see this one being significantly smaller due to those points.... Automatically Appended Next Post: Ah well guys - get in there with me and request those DZ terrain sprues! You know it might help their bottom line, and it certainly can't hurt the campaign...

Nooo - the first time my 2x Early Bird IA Strategy isn't looking so great! I still think the second box+all the free extras is worth the $55 difference in credit though.

@Bioptic, I'm curious too but have no idea. I purposefully ignore other kickstarters. On purpose. Because they cost money I don't have.
In deadzone going up to assault pledge level (double strike, which was the sweet spot) was a no-brainer for me. I wanted the scenery, mat, more than half of the models etc. For MA I just dunno. Even though they all have different poses, I'm just not sold on having 40 martian grunts. I mostly want MA for a really fancy wargamesque boardgame to trick non-gamers into playing, so I can further trick them into playing DZ with me
Since I'm trying more of a "one of everything, more or less" approach this time around, doubling up the game box isn't worth the $55 to me, personally. More raw value, yes, but it would mean getting things I don't need copies of and missing out on things I do want.

Someone just mentioned something called Journey Wrath of Demons in the comments to the update. Not sure if that's "the campaign" people are talking about, or just one that someone else is looking up. It certainly has some nice models in it, particularly if you like Minotaurs...

@Azezelx, its popped up a couple of times, it doesn't appear to be a runaway success/ freight train big enough that its mauled MA's backers. I mean its quadruple funded and all, totally respectable, I just didn't see anything to suggest it just now deployed some kind of amazeballs deal crushing the backing of other projects. Unless this new chick with wings and horns is the culprit =/
Maybe its that game that has the cthulu and cowboys thing going on, it was definitely outstripping MA to begin with, maybe they made their main deal even beterer...
