Another update!

Marrow wrote:US Hub: I have contacted the distribution center and they say Journey is top of the list. They expect to have all the packages in the mail by the end of next week.

EU Hub: The container has cleared customs and the pallets have just arrived at the EU distributor. They will start shipping this week.

Aus/NZ: The shipment took the longest to clear customs, which is a little frustrating. However, it’s over and distributor will also be shipping packages later this week.

RoW: Shipping continues and is now 80% done.

10 more days for the US, so they're probably about halfway done.

Also, big congratulations for a special delivery for Hon:
last week my wife and I had our first baby! Mother and child are doing very well, although both the parents are very tired.

Since we are a two-man company this has had an impact on our productivity. All I can do is apologize.

I hope their online shop preorders are included in this batch of stuff getting shipped out, because mine should be somewhere in that stack.

And I want it. Really badly.

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

Cool, who's the return address point back to? Given it's just the base game, I'm betting the fulfillment is being handled by a one man shop.

There's this weird thing that always seems to happen to me where 2 KS's arrive on the same day at my house. Rum and Bones is scheduled for delivery on Saturday, so if I were a betting man, I'd wager that my Journey will ship in the next day.

Thanks. That explains the time; a semi-professional shipping company, so they probably have a couple people in the back manually shipping time permitting.

I spent a summer in college working in a fulfillment warehouse for mail-order garbage and have a pretty good idea on how quickly a dedicated shipping line can bang out a single SKU. Mind-numbingly boring work.

Shipping information isn't being sent out, but tracking numbers are showing up in the usual Fedex/UPS delivery managers.

This. I requested shipping number, but the box simply arrived. No complaint, as I have the game in hand.

I received my game today and I have to say, with the exception of KD, this is the nicest KS boardgame I've seen. Easily the best dick-free boardgame quality wise.

It pains me that John got his copy while I still sit and wait by the mailbox.

I'm sure it will come this weekend since we'll be going out of town. Naturally.

Anyone get a game in yet? How is it?

I was on travel earlier, which is why I requested the tracking number. Arriving later worked just fine.

I've been going through the rulebook, and it seems pretty clean. I think I'll want to print out the Demon AI rules.

I'm working a full "First Impressions" article, and we plan on playing this weekend, so I'll be able to do a review then as well.

Overall, the game is pretty stunning. Beautiful artwork. Beautiful miniatures. I've got a few qualms with the material choice for the player boards, but they're small.

Did you go for the "Lights Out" variants?!?

While I happily dodged some KS Bullets (Robotech and AvP immediately spring to mind), it has caused me to 'doubt' some projects, not back them, and then regret it.

This is one of those!

I feel your pain Alpharius.

Had a early bird from the very first day, had been following them on Facebook prior to the campaign, and for reasons unknown I dropped my pledge at the very end of the campaign.

I regretted it ever since and ended up with a more expensive preorder further down the line, and am now relegated to looking at other people's photos while the wait for my copy drives me into deeper depths of insanity.

For some reason I didn't 'trust' them - I might have mistakenly lumped them in with the "Fairy Tale" crew for some screwed up reason?

Anyway, thanks for the pics cincy - I'm looking forward to your play through and review!

I was the same until I got to speak to Hon and Ray at Adepticon. That alieviated many of my fears

I missed this as it was running at the same time as something else I really wanted

(I can't remember what so I don't know if I need to just regret missing this, or really, really regret missing this and putting my cash into a dud..... too scared it might be the latter to go look)

enjoy the game

I ended up having to back out as well, but I kept $1 in just in case; and then ended up getting the base game in the Pledge Manager later on.

Wish I got more.

Now, now, don't go there. Bad place.

I've still got some Robotech left to deliver, but I'm glad I waited for AvP to go retail. Super glad I didn't back Imbrian Arts...

Journey has something of a boutique feel. It's very premium, even though it's still restic PVC minis. They're just so very nice. Everything is so lovely to touch and see, the occasional typo or other imperfection is that much more glaring. I'm really glad to have backed Journey.

Is 'everything' now released/shipped to backers?

Or are there 'expansions' or 'add-ons' still to be delivered?

Only the core box has been delivered to backers, so expansions/resin minis/stretch goals above and beyond the core box are to be delivered still. I'm crossing my fingers hoping they'll re-open the pledge manager to allow adding in the expansions.

To date, Marrow has delivered the base game, only.

There are multiple expansions (White Bone Demons, Spider Demons, etc.) still to be produced, printed, packed & delivered.

Compared with KD:M, Marrow is a bit more business-like, pushing the base game into production first, then dealing with the expansions.

BTW, I'm also looking forward to the Panda, when that is done.

it wasn't either of those (although Shadows of Brimstone was another I wanted to back) so I looked

I'd blown far to much on Mierce's Darklands First Edition a couple of weeks earlier.... which is a relief as I'm very happy with what I've had from them, so I only have to regret missing this until it hits retail
