The torso of it compared to the rest of the body almost looks like it is top-heavy, and the face almost looks deformed. But that is my take on it, and possibly subjective, so take it with a grain of salt.
Also, I made this in a short time, so I even think it is meh.

The werewolves in your photo suffer from a badly thought out paint scheme. Try painting them in an earthly color, and they're great. The Men at Arms require extensive work, but with help they're decent minis. The elves are liked by some, disliked by others. Opinion on them is the definition of "subjective". I haven't talked to anyone who had experience with warpath Veer Myn and I haven't either. So I have no statement either way for them. Goblins supposedly were great sculpts that suffered from a mushy production. MaAs suffered the same way. If you want honestly hideous sculpts, check out the old Draken Riders.
For every "issue" they have though, they come out with their entire undead line, Enforcers, Ogres, Paladins, Orcs, games with near flawless rules (KoW hasn't had a single rules complaint on this site yet, and that's a rarity for Dakka).
My whole point, TL: DR, is that they have good sculpts for every bad sculpts and they make great games. No minis company has a flawless track record with minis.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

For myself, I have not played a Mantic game yet (although I am very interested in Dreadball, and seeing it played on beast of war, it seems like a tight ruleset although I have to play it), but I can agree a good amount of their sculpts look good (hell, I like how the Dreadball looks, and the Marauders a bit). Do not worry, it was more intented as a light-hearted jab of sorts, although it did not come out that way in the long run it seems.
And I can say that every model company is not going to have their sculpts that could've done better (Tengen Toppa Pauldron Lagann for Warmachine anyone, and the Croc man in the PanO starter set for infinity looks like he should be having a beer and having a good time....)

Hmm, another "I don't like these mantic figures" thread. Not too original.
I like forgefathers and pledged for Deadzone, but I've not been overly impressed with certain sections of Mantic's miniatures line. There are some let-downs and the MaArms figs were a real flop. That said, I love their rulesets. KoW is one of my new favorite games.
I approach Mantic the way I approach any company. I buy what I like from them, skip what I don't and mix and match minis and rules at will.

Well, I did state I did like some of their models later in the thread (as timetowaste85 stated as well, miniature companies are not going to make the best sculpts every time, but there can be some excellent ones). I meant it more as a joke of the statement people seem to make, although told very poorly.

The proportions.
The werewolves were the reason I pledged for this Kickstarter, but after seeing the final sculpts, I swapped them out for Basileans. They don't look like the artwork. They have ridiculous Mighty Mouse torsos and forearms thicker than their thighs. They have oversized nipples and "landing strips" which are impossible to ignore. Their heads are too small and tame for their hulking bodies. The poses seem very limited, and mostly based around howling to the sky or angrily smacking the ground. Apparently, they aren't even the right size for their role in Warhammer the KoW game.
The werewolves look pretty terrible.
If you're not seeing it, it's probably because you were just looking at the Men at Arms or Veermyn and temporarily blinded your hideousness receptors.

What's wrong with the Veermyn? I think they look great.

The face looks deformed to me, and they are disproportionate. Although, I do not mind the ones in the Dreadball set, they seem to have that problem a whole lot.
Then again, my thought on it, and it was a joke told poorly and in kind of meh taste.

I think I've had a thing for them since GWAR used to play 40k back in the early 90's at one of my FLGS and one of the guys had a space Skaven army (including little Skaven dudes on skateboards)

If my post show some BAD spelling issues, please forgive-me, english is not my natural language, and i never received formal education on it...
My take on Demiurgs (enjoy the reading):
http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/537654.page Please, if you think im wrong, correct me (i will try to take it constructively).
No, not really. At all. It took me all but maybe 15-30 mins, and I thought it looked good on paper though....
That being said, my other one is better I have for now. And no, I am not just going to poke fun of mantic but other things as well like Warmahordes and Infinity (no, I do not hate those games, I actually like them, I am just poking fun of the quirks about them and the models for them).

No worries, I understand mate. Everyone likes and dislike different things (although do not make a criticism of Final Fantasy VII, that seems to get people riled up the most).
