What do you mean by 'lost' exactly? You need to provide a bit more info about what you are looking for? Tactics? How to play the game? Finding an opponent?

Ogres are not allowed on a High Elf team. Woodelves, can have treemen, but highelves, and Pro elves, even dark elves do not have a big guy option....

High elves are dodgy twits, get an orc team. Slow and Bashy, the way Bloodbowl was supposed to be played.

I recommend converting a team. Will be much cheaper as plastics will net you enough components that if you buy right you can build you 2-3 teams. Maybe high, dark, & pro elf teams.

My HE team is actually based on the 3rd ed metal human with head swaps. In fact, despite having: 2 human, HE, chaos, skaven, underworld, nurgle, 2 orc, DE, PE, norse, dwarf, chaos dwarf only the dwarf, PE, HE & human are blood bowl models.

Also this website right here seems to have tons of advice for starting rosters and tactics. I've really appreciated reading it. http://bbtactics.com/introduction-blood-bowl/

Lastly, this is kind of an interesting option,. but if you want you can watch some games of the Blood Bowl computer game on Youtube. The rules are identical and I actually learned how to play the tabletop game by getting introduced through the video game.
