I'd have to say the PC game I disliked the most was RUSE. Cool concept, some nice set pieces, but terrible game overall. So little content, not that entertaining, play one match you've kind of played them all. EDIT: And in part I dislike it so much because it was one of those games where you can see the greatness in it but all the wrong notes were hit in the execution and the experience was ruined which somehow just makes it worse.

The only game for PC that made me quit because of sheer frustration with the camera was Silent Hill 4: The Room. I have no idea if it's better for the consoles, but for the PC I went berserk after a forest section, the camera was too bad.

Starcraft 2 because the damn thing wouldn't start up properly and when it did, it was very slow and froze before a game began. Ironically, if it actually worked, it would have been my favorite game. I heard it's very good so maybe if I keep trying...

I'd like to put Dawn of War 2.
My computer had/has the power to run it, but its never worked and I've no idea why. Something to do with steam...
Rites of War was bad, but for some reason I really enjoyed it.

So I'm going for Daikatana

I'd say that most DISSAPOINTING is Dawn of War 2. It didn't work well even though my system could handle it, but even when I played it on another PC I just didn't think the new style was close to enjoyable - just very repetitive. Left a sour taste in my mouth.

Also I hated that Halo Wars wasn't PC, just an average Console RTS.

Worst is a very hard decision though.. can't say.

Aaaaaaand I'm an idiot again. Okay, let me try a different one...

Personally, Neverwinter Nights 2. I just found it way too linear and at certain points found myself throwing my character into hopeless battles causing me to restart roughly 5 times around the beginning.

The relaunch has been fantastic, and as soul-sucking and enjoyable as any MMO I've played.

Worst video game played on the PC? Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition without a controller or the patch to get it to work on a keyboard.

But I have a wired controller so I'm good!

Dawn of War 2. It was just really, really bad with very little to do. Take cover, throw grenades, advance. Yawwwwwn.

That or World of Warcraft. Talk about a snorefest, I have better things to do with my time than sitting here clicking on boars for three hours.

Master of Orion 3. After the glory and amazing game theat 2 was when I played 3 it was such a let down that I only finished 1 game of it.

Or I have to say I was disappointed with Spore. The beginning of the game was fun running around as a creature and eating things but after that it just turned into a bad rts

Yeah, definitely Daikatana. Played it for all of 30 minutes and got annoyed by robot insects the same colour as the rest of the game. Got annoyed when I realised I couldn't save and died to a mutant frog (at least I think it was) and discovering that I'd have to do the irritating run through the swamp again.

Black and White 2. The first one was ok but the second really plumbed the depths of boredom. Peter molyneux really has fallen far from the halycon days of Bullfrog.

Spore is a close second, by far the most overhyped game that I have experienced.

I would agree with you here, but I never actually got into a game of MoO3. Fired it up, looked at it, uninstalled and fired MoO2 back up.

For me, I would have to go with EYE Divine Cybermancy. The trailer for that game looked so amazing. A new cyberpunkish world to go al sorts of crazy in. The game itself has too many glaring flaws to be considered "good" though. So mabe not worst ever, but definitely the most disappointing.

If we are talking "worst oh my god why did I spend money on this" then I would go with Bad Rats. Even $0.49 was too much for that.

I'm not a wow fanboy and not really into fantasy at all, but the game did keep my attention for a few years - you may not like it, but hardly a bad game.

I haven't really had a PC game that I've had to quite playing half way through or hated. Although, I was very disappointed with CoD: Black Ops 2. I regret buying that game as it felt very dated and the campaign had a massive build up, then with the push of a button all the bad "things" were destroyed.

It's still a bad game. Click on x,y co-ordinate a billion times until a computer changes a number from 3 to 4. I know games have always been, essentially, data, but WOW just stripped out any gameplay whatsoever.

Game of Thrones Genesis.

I know it didn't get particularly good reviews anyway, but I got it cheap for about £10 in a Steam sale and I thought as a Game of Thrones fan I might as well give it a go. It looked interesting, a little like Empire Earth. I installedi t, booted it up, tried to start the first campaign...and nothing. I gak you not, the "Start Campaign" button literally would not work when I clicked it, no matter what I tried. Same for every other "Start" button, whether Tutorial, Campaign or Skirmish.

No. Its a narrative story, which uses video game software as a tool to help tell the story. Think of it as a semi-interactive poem or short story, not as a game.

I loved it, but I only "played" it once.

Squatting with the squigs

lord of the realms 3, i loved 1 thought 2 was just ok , but 3 took everything i liked about the game and turned it into some terrible rts hybrid. I played the game mainly for the economic sim angle, and i still break it out occasionally to get my sheep and cow farms cranking, just thinking of it makes me want to play it. Now, where is that cd?

I'd like to think I played a worse game at some point in my life, and in truth I must have - but that does not change the fact that the instant I saw this thread title, before I clicked into the contents, I word-for-word thought out this post.

Close runner up: This game I found in the clearance rack at Best Buy.
