Sadly, I have to make this short, as it's midnight, I had to steal my father's laptop, and can get into some VERY SERIOUS gak (Maybe even 3 weeks in detention) for this, but here it goes:
I am at Theraputic Boarding school. I am alive, well, and still kicking!! Thanks for all of your support through my time at DakkaDakka for my (one, gak IT RAN OUT) DCM's, hello and welcome to the newbies. I will have fun seeing and talking to you all in March of 2014!!

Chowder has been ensconced in a boarding school for a goodly while, with very limited (if any) access to things like Dakka (or the internet in general AFAIK). Being a very well known and active member of Dakka, for him to suddenly fall off the grid with nary a word raised more than a few questions, and so he took this opportunity to let people know the general situation, knowing that if he was caught doing so then there would be punishment for falling foul of one (or many) of what are no doubt strict rules.

Ironically it seems to be the educational embodiment of blame the victim, where kids with mild problems mostly due to issues in there backgrounds are sent by well off parents who think that spending money is a good replacement for love.
This may not be the case for chowder, just a general feeling about the system. Not helped by the removal of access to the internet. Seems like its run by people who think the 1950s were a golden age and don't understand how vital understanding and use of technology in everyday life is to be employable. Like these people who keep there kids away from TV then wonder why they are social outcasts when they are excluded from accessing the cultural currency that binds relationships.

it must be relaxing, working for a place that doesn't have to get real and proper accreditation though (my place of work goes into mini panic mode making sure everything is up to snuff whenever we have to get reevaluated by carf)
