Alright, so here is the plan:
1. Place a huge piece of LOS blocking terrain just in front of a corner of my side of the board, set the basilisks and manticore behind it, then place the ADL and quad gun to block off the only entrance/exit. Have the CCS sit on the ADL as well as one of the Infantry squads. Have the artillery and MoO bomb away from behind cover.

2. Load Up the two meltavets in the two vendettas and go pop some tanks.

3. Put the LR demolishers wherever there is 2+ saves or AV13/14.

4.Place the PCS and infantry squad wherever they need to be.

5. Superscout move Marbo wherever he needs to be and suicide bomb a unit.


That gives me:
4 Str 9 AP 3 large blast from cover a turn anywhere
1-3 Str 10 AP 4 Large blast from cover a turn anywhere
3 one-use STR 8 AP 2 assault large blasts anywhere
2 Str 10 AP 2 Large Blasts OR 4 MM shots and 2 Lascannon shots where my LR demos go.
6 Meltaguns anywhere they need to be
6 TL lascannons in the air
Quad gun
A few lasguns.

So, what do you all think?

Don't get me wrong as a dutch person i like cheese. But this is a bit cheesy

Drown your enemy in ordnance, I love it.

Pretty stationary playstyle I'm assuming, aside from the vets and Marbo. I assume the vets would be objective grabbers if it came down to it?

Again, I wish i had the models to try this out, seems like a hilarious amount of large blasts.

Drop the upgrades off the demolishers and spend those 90 points on something that isn't wasting its time snap firing

The lascannon and MM sponsons are not for firing on the same target that the main gun is firing at. I can either use the demolishers for anti AV (MM and lascannon) or infantry (demo cannon).

You're still wasting either 90 or 330 points a turn by not firing all your guns. If you want more heavy weapons, you have two infantry (and two command) squads that have no upgrades and you should be able to add a third as well.

I want to keep them by the ADL and in cover, as wel as bubble wrapping the artilery. I think the two tanks have good armor and mobility and I like having the ability to target EVERYTHING with those two tanks. They ignore all armor saves and are instant death on most everyting, and they have the ability to pop all mech units with their two MMs and lascannons.

I'd still like to hear what everyone else thinks, its been a while, so I am guessing there are going to be new people to look at it.

It would be slightly intimidating, but I run a flyer heavy list and I a) can't see you killing all my wraiths even with all those blasts, before they get into combat (especially if I go first which with Imotekh I probably will)- at which point they'll munch you.
b) will keep my troops in night scythes till your firepower is diminished

I dont know, a quad gun and two vendettas could do a lot of damage.

No servo skulls? Needs more servo skulls.

They help push back the scouting biker lists too, which otherwise would be on top of you after 1 turn (where they had a 3 or 4++ cover save)

With Servo Skulls you get an extra turn of firing and you get to reduce the scatter on all those large blasts. I think they are a must have for this list.

So your basically building terrain for your advantage. Yeah that's stupid. At our store, if there isn't a table set up we ask an impartial 3rd party to set the terrain pieces we select.

Well that isn't very nice. Besides, we go by GW rules at my FLGS. I can make it work from a fluff standpoint if that is your concern: this IG battalion is dedicated to artillery, so obviously it would find the best terrain and set up there. I mean, setting up terrain is part of the game, the game is about strategy and tactics, not which army is better, its a game of player vs player, and it just so happens that we get to pick our armies. Strategy comes first in this game, and terrain setup is part of that.

Also, your comment contributed nothing and all you did was say my tactic was "stupid". This is trolling, please stop trolling.

The funny thing is, my first, and main army, is drop podding spehhs mahreens, where I use nothing but drop pods and fliers and dont rely on terrain set up much. Not that it matters though, my point about this being a strategy game still stands

I REALLY like this list. I see tygbs point about the demolishers but the feel of being able to target any unit and still be dangerous is nice, plus it gets rid of their range issue which is their main weakness. Also I feel you have a reasonable amount of anti air... at least enough fliers yourself to distract enemy fliers so they aren't shooting at your tanks. Lastly - setting up terrain is definitely part of the game! Although it can be nice now and again to use random terrain and roll the scatter dice.

Inquisitors can take up to 3, 3 point Servo Skulls which are essentially markers you can place anywhere on the board. Anything belonging to your opponent targeted within 12'' by you means you can roll one less D6 for scatter in that shooting attack. On the flipside, if anything gets within 6'' of it, it is auto-removed.

It also hampers infiltrate/scout in a fair radius.

I don't see them in my IG codex. Am I missing something.

They're in the Inquisition/Grey Knight Codex. The Inquisition Codex doesn't even require much dedication to an ally contingent as the Inquisitor can be taken solely without a troops section.
