The three primes join the Broodlord and form a t5 deathstar. I will cast endurance on them if possible. I'm hoping swarmy can roll up a useful power from telepathy from that unit. I can ignore flyers. Hiveguard are can openers and Zoanthropes are tank hunters. Mawlocs start on the board. Thoughts?

Not really. I have not really need him and not been that impressed when I faced him.

Sneaky silly trick I do with my nids is make a Prime the Warlord since they are also LD10. that way I can send the big bad MC in to harms way and not worry about it while keeping the Warlord back and safe in a mas of Guants for example.

Is that to claim backfield objective without running off the board?

Not bad, but not scary. What if your opponent has a flyer? Or 2, 3, 4, etc. Stealers/Primes as a Deathstar also isn't really scary. I mean, it's Toughness 5, ok. But has no shooting, is slow, and is pretty vulnerable to... well being shot. And God help you if an MC or two hits that unit. A Daemon Prince would carve it up, one character at a time.

EDIT:

Also, vehicles? 3 Hive Guard simply isn't enough. Transports, tanks etc laugh at you. There's a lot of points in Primes that could be better used. Also you went 2x FOC, use the extra Elites!

I don't really get what the "deathstar" is regarding the 3 primes and Broodlord.

It's just as slow as the "Swarmstar" and isn't nearly as scary.

At 2000 points you've got a very underwhelming list. It looks super fun, don't get me wrong, but I wouldn't be too afraid of it and I play nids explicitly

You need one if not two Gargoyle broods flying across the board as a screen for the rest of your army. Drop the Zoans pod, the genestealers and 11 gants to get them in some form.

T5 isnt really much of a death star with the best save being a 3+ Swarmy adds almost nothing to the list for his points. Give the Tervis Catalyst at least for guaranteed FNP if you are going to stay with this list.

Zoans shooting is horrible, so many rolls to get it off. Cast a power, deny the witch, roll to hit, roll to wound/pen, cover save, rerolls/FNP, damage table. Potentially 7 rolls for a vehicle and 6 for a single wound on a unit is not a reliable method for doing anything especially if you are bringing them down in a pod since you might not get them till late game.

Mawlocs on the table first turn are good, would even go with a third if you have the model.

Zones drop in and have swapped their powers for Psy Shriek, Doom comes in, he's also swapped for Psy Shriek, with his pulse and the 1 to 4 other 3D6 leadership tests you're gonna suck the life right outta whatever you want.

Swarmy or a Flyrant make those pods come in on. 2up turn 2.

Two zones and Swarmlord used Psy Shriek to kill Abaddon and 3 Oblits in one turn for me this weekend before Swarmlord turned around and 1 shot a 300 point Bloodthurster.

Primes never pay off for me, they die to weight of bolter fire far to easy.

Your Swarmlord is 20 points too expensive.
And your deathstar is maybe the least scary thing I've seen. Ooh... A bunch of T5 3+ wounds. Whatever shall I do?

Oh. Throw a Iron Arm Tervigon at them. Yeah, that'll do it.

It works very well for that, but also creates up to 30 extra wounds for your warlord.

You should add 3 tyrant guard and shove the 3 primes in a squad with swarmlord.

Get gate of infinity on psychic powers.

This right here seems extremely fun.

I went ahead and swapped a Prime for a Flyrant with the spare points.

I was hoping to have enough ground game to ignore flyers. Edited list in first post.
