New Jersey...The other end of the warp.

Hey there...looking to finish up a DA list for a map campaign coming up at my FLGS. So far I have the following:

Azrael

2x Terminator Squads (5-man)
-Assault Cannon
-Cyclone Missile Launcher

2x Ravenwing Attack Squad (3-man)
-Plasmagun / Sarge w/ meltabombs

1x Ravenwing Black Knights
- 1x grenade launcher / sarge w/ meltabombs


So far I am at 1076 of 1200. I am not sure of how to spend the rest. Any Ideas are more than appreciated.

I presume you mean, 1 terminator squad has an Assault Cannon, whilst the other has a Cyclone ML...right? You can't have both in one squad unless it's 10 man.

You've got an insanely low model count right now. You're already playing a weak codex, so you can't expect to weather dice fluctuations too. The lower the model count, the more susceptible you are to bad dice runs and the less forgiveness you have to recover.

My suggestion? More boys, less toys.

I suggest dropping the CML for a PC, PC give me more points back way more often than CML. but I guess YMMV.


Honestly, I would only suggest upping your squads to 5 (finish up the black knights first) then up the other bike squads.

20 guys at 1200p is not good.id be spending the last 140 odd points (170 odd if you drop the CML) on a Tac squad or missile devs

Thats the inherent problem with Termies at such low point value. They're ~ 250pts for 5 wounds.

Seperat from the other questions, my chief one is : Where is Azrael going in all this? If you put him with Bikes, he slows them down, and if you put him with Terminators they have to walk (not somewhere they want to be for 3 turns).

At a minimum I'd add some Marines or scouts to give azrael some company. I think you could drop one of the Ravenwing squads, as they all have teleport homers (if that is their intended use), and that will add another 80 points. I'd consider adding some storm shields just to make those 40ish point models more survivable.

yeah a full Tac squad will make a hell of a difference, especially with heavy and special weapon choices!
