Apparently unchanged, so still T4 W1 5+ and infantry.
Which is to say really bad still. I'm sad too, genestealers are my favourite unit by far in the game. I don't know why they were nerfed originally but they're still paying the piper apparently.

Hmm, I'm trying to find any mention of Synapse giving Eternal Warrior. That's pretty much the most important thing for me now, as with the 4chan guy confirming Warriors are the same as before profile and points wise, this will pretty much be the difference between them becoming competitive or staying a purely fluff choice.

The key here is also what the biomorphs specifically do. For instance, if toxin sacs confer poison (4+) to all melee AND shooting attacks, they are definitely worth 2 points on a termagant. More likely, they will not do that. If adrenal glands give furious charge AND fleet, they might be worth 2 points on a gant. (But more so on warriors). And warriors having access to flesh hooks bodes well for genestealers - if they get the option as well we can once again assault through terrain at initiative.
The other big game changer as many have stated is what Shadow in the Warp and Synapse provide us with. As the white dwarf has been seen, it looks like we won't get any info from that there so we'll need to wait until the codex releases (or someone gets their hands on it early) to know the full story.
I"m still remaining hopeful.

That Termagant Brood entry states:
- Unit size of 10-30, 4pt/model, statline unchanged
- Move Through cover and Instincitive Behaviour (Lurk)
- Comes standard with a fleshborer, and any model may replace their weapon for spine fists or a spikerifle for free, or a devourer for 4 pts, and 1 per 10 gants may take a splinterweb for 3pts.
- Adrenal glands and toxin sacs for 2 pts/model each
- For every Termagant Brood of 30 models, you may take 1 Tervigon as a Troops choice

New pic of termagants shows tervigons still HQ, toxin/adrenal super overpriced, spinefists/spike rifle now free(!) upgrades which, whilst still bad, makes them at least usable now. Devilgants now 8 points each, not unexpected when they lack spores to drop in. I'm... cautiously optimistic. If nids keep biomancy, or synapse is buffed to give EW, these new cheapo MCs could really change the game. SitW is also barely mentioned apparently so I'd bet it's unchanged. It could swing the other way easily but... do we have our game changer codex at last? I read most of the 4chan thread, and I haven't seen anything about Termagants and free weapons upgrades. It's entirely possible I just missed it. Edit: Apparently I missed that part.

Spores are gone, as is the Doom and the Parasite.
Nothing in the picture of the Termagant entry indicates anything about Deep Striking, so it is fair to say it has been cut back a lot.

Ok, fair enough. If it wasn't mentioned anywhere in the WD - especially the battle report - it's probably safe to say it isn't true. Sucks for Warriors if they don't have it.

Right now I'm basically assuming:
- WD information is on the mark.
- Endobai is right or very close so, due to calling out tons of details.
- Everything else I consider to be random babble; I'm looking at anything published on Natfka and BOLS for this.
Trying to mix in other rumors just... makes the situation too weird

Endobai was likely getting his info from a WD as well, since pretty much everything he said and you said line up without a whole lot of differences.
I would have thought by reading the battle report someone could have deduced whether or not SitW gave EW, given that the Tyranids were up against 4 Riptides. Or even how leadership/morale is handled. But no one has said anything on those. Automatically Appended Next Post: I guess one of the interesting questions is: Nids release on the 11tth (I think), which means WD out on the 4th, right? So these people are getting the WD some 3 weeks ahead of time?
Interesting. Seems much earlier than usual, I would not have expected to see this info for at least another week.

It's not that surprising, GW will want all the distribution done before the holidays so things are ready to go straight afterward. I checked into the last Tyranid release, and it was even stranger:
WD released on Saturday 6th Dec 2009
Pre-orders went up straight away
Models not released until mid-January 2010
We had to wait about 5 weeks between WD and the models.

Nice find. Now an even better question for you...when did the codex info start leaking back then? Does this also imply that it will be leaked earlier than normal this time around? I also wonder if the WD will come out on the 14 or the 21.

Should be cool to see a size comparison with the tyrannofex. It does not seem to be that much larger, but it might be the base size.

3.) S7 AP2 large blast or 6 shots from the exocrine?? I'm not in love with the sculpt as much as the others but if those stats are true i'll definitely have to build one up. However for the tyrannofex to compete in the same slot he will need BS4, retain his S10 gun with at least 2 shots if not more, and his flamer will need to drop to AP3. Otherwise in every scenario i think you'd see the exocrine win the heavy slots.
This is going to be awesome!
Just to play devils advocate, but what if much like the riptide, the exocrine/Horuswhatever *edit* (Haruspex lol) are elite choices not heavy? Then you could field both shooters without competing for slots. That seems much more like GeeDub as of late.

Finally! You won't see those idiotic 10 man gaunt units for tax. Proper tax this time around, maybe this will encourage hormagaunt use AND ter/terv use. Those last 40 points can easily be dropped to hormagaunts now.

First thing I thought of was the slaughterbrute kit as well. I can't believe all the new MC have that silly large termagant head Don't get me wrong the new kits rock, but it's funny how everyone since the latest carnifex kit has a similar head on it, I mean too similar almost. Easily fixed with GS though so meh.
Very exciting!

Yes, because if something is a creature or organic in any way and fills a similar role, it is a copy. Just like a Defiler and Carnifex are identical, or how a Space Marine with bolter and Imperial Guardsman with lasgun are basically the same thing.

Yeah, sucks. I honestly thought hormagaunts were due to be broken this edition. I mean, that'd be what I would try and sell. Maybe make broodlords way too good, so that people want to use stealers+hormagaunts and totally change their army. As it is, looks like many more years of flyrants, tervigons and maybe the return of dakkafex spam full force. Dakkafexes, if devourers with BLW haven't changed drastically, will be awesome - you can take 4 for 600 points, which is 48 S6 shots from 4 MCs, which will probably remain T6 W4 each; that's a hard firebase to crack. It also surprises me - I would've though more people had 3+ carnifexes than 60 stealers. Chances of BLWs being nerfed? Quite high.
